As shown in FIG. 2, the head moving mechanism 37 is formed on the frame 10, and is configured with a pair of left and right guide rails 31a and 31b (refer to FIG. 2) extending in the horizontal direction (hereinafter also referred to as the Y direction). 2 shows only 31a in FIG. 2) and front and rear installed on a movable support unit that is suspended over the left and right guide rails 31a and 31b and is movable along the longitudinal direction (Y direction) of the left and right guide rails 31a and 31b. A guide rail 33, a head support member 34 installed in a movable state along the longitudinal direction of the front and rear guide rails 33 (other horizontal direction perpendicular to the Y direction; hereinafter also referred to as the X direction), and a head support member Elevating guide rail 35 installed in 34 and extending in the vertical direction (hereinafter also referred to as Z direction) that is the vertical direction, and elevating installed in a state that can be raised and lowered along the longitudinal direction (Z direction) of elevating guide rail 35 And a member 36.
Accordingly, the head 40 installed on the elevating member 36 can move in the front and rear, left and right, and up and down directions within the space surrounded by the frame 10 by the head moving mechanism 37. That is, in the tape applicator 1, the head 40 can be moved to the application work position (see the head position in FIG. 2) or the detachable unit engagement / disengagement position (see the head position in FIG. 13). The affixing work position is the position of the head 40 when the tape T is affixed to the work W placed on the stage 20 in the frame 10, and the attachment / detachment unit engagement / disengagement positions are the dock body 71 and the head body described later This is the position of the head 40 when performing the delivery operation of the detachable unit 60 to and from 41. Further, since the head moving mechanism 37 can raise and lower the attachment / detachment unit 60 by raising and lowering the head 40, the attachment / detachment unit 60 is transferred between the dock body 71 and the head body 41 at the attachment / detachment unit attachment / detachment position. Also used during operation.
Note that the front / rear guide rail 33, the head support member 34, and the elevating member 36 are all movable by a driving means (for example, a motor) (not shown).
The head 40 (see FIG. 3) is for cutting the tape T at a predetermined length after the tape T (see FIG. 6) is pasted to a predetermined position of the work W, and a head moving mechanism. A head main body 41 fixed to the elevating member 36 of 37, and an attachment / detachment unit 60 detachably attached to the head main body 41.
The head body 41 includes a base member 42 on the lifting member 36 side, and a front plate 43 (see FIG. 4) disposed in contact with the base member 42 on the front side (XF direction side) which is one side of the base member 42. It has. The detachable unit 60 is attached to the front plate 43.
The base member 42 is provided with a lifting mechanism (not shown), and a front plate 43 is attached so as to be liftable. The base member 42 includes a cutter unit (cutting means) 46 that cuts the tape T drawn from the roll R into a predetermined length.
As shown in FIG. 4, the front plate 43 is formed in positioning holes 45 a and 45 b for positioning the detachable unit 60, holding members 51 and 52 for holding the detachable unit 60, and the detachable unit 60. And a suction air supply member 55 that comes into contact with a later-described vent hole 61d.
As shown in FIG. 4, two positioning holes 45a and 45b are formed in the vertical direction at a predetermined interval on the front plate 43 (the main body side contact surface 44). When positioning pins 63a and 63b (described later) are inserted into the positioning holes 45a and 45b, the detachable unit 60 is positioned at a predetermined position with respect to the head body 41.
The holding members 51 and 52 hold the detachable unit 60 and are installed on the front plate 43 as a pair on the left and right. Each holding arm 51, 52 includes bases 51a, 52a (see FIG. 6), rods 51b, 52b attached to the base in a state where they can be projected and retracted, and claws 51c, It is composed of 52c. Accordingly, by operating the holding members 51 and 52 in a state where the detachable unit 60 is positioned on the head main body 41, the detachable unit 60 is pulled and pressed to the head main body 41 side by the claws 51c and 52c of the holding members 51 and 52. The detachable unit 60 is mounted and held on the head body 41. Each base 51a, 52a has a built-in drive source for operating the rods 51b, 52b.
As shown in FIG. 4, the suction air supply member 55 includes a plate-like supply member attachment portion 55a attached to the rear surface of the front plate 43, and a connection formed on the supply member attachment portion 55a. And a suction pad (connecting portion) 55b attached to the front side (detachable unit 60 side) of the through hole. The other end of a hose (intake pipe) 67c having one end connected to the suction pump 80 is connected to the rear opening of the through hole. The suction pad 55b is disposed so as to surround the opening on the front side of the through hole. Therefore, when the detachable unit 60 is attached to the head body 41, a later-described vent 61d of the detachable unit 60 is connected to the suction pad 55b, and a negative pressure device (for example, a later-described tape suction device) of the detachable unit 60 is connected from the suction pump 80. Part 67) can be supplied with negative pressure. The connection structure of the negative pressure supply member between the front plate 43 and the detachable unit 60 is a well-known configuration, and therefore detailed description thereof is omitted here.
The cutter unit 46 (see FIG. 3) is for cutting off a predetermined length portion of the tape fed from the roll R from the tape T, and is attached to the base member 42 of the head body 41. When the cutter unit 46 is attached to the head main body 41 instead of the attachment / detachment unit 60, the roll exchange work (see the attachment / detachment unit preparation work described later) in the attachment / detachment unit 60 held by the dock 70 becomes easy.
The cutter unit 46 includes a downstream side pressing roller 47 that presses the tape (feeding tape unit) T drawn from the roll R (see FIG. 6) against the workpiece W, and a feeding tape that is stuck to the workpiece W by pressing. A blade 48 for cutting the part is provided. The blade 48 can move forward and backward in the longitudinal direction of the blade, and can move to a retracted position (see the cutter portion position in FIG. 6) and an advanced position. When the blade 48 is moved to the advanced position, the blade edge 48a at the tip comes into contact with the tape attached to the tape temporary fixing surface 76, and the tape can be cut into the tape tip side and the roll R side.
As shown in FIG. 4, the detachable unit 60 includes a plate-shaped detachable unit main body 61.
The detachable unit main body 61 is installed on the positioning pins 63a and 63b arranged on the rear surface (the surface facing the main body-side contact surface 44) and the upper surface of the front surface of the detachable unit main body 61 (the surface facing the dock main body 71). Tape holder (tape roll holding portion) 64, an upstream push roller 65 for pushing the tape T drawn from the roll R (see FIG. 6) against the work W, and a guide roller for guiding the tape T to the tape feed path Tr 66a, 66b, a tape suction portion 67, and engagement pins (engagement portions) 68, 69 are provided. In the following description of the detachable unit 60, the state in which the detachable unit 60 is mounted on the head body 41 is used as a reference unless otherwise specified.
Further, the detachable unit main body 61 includes a vent hole 61d for supplying negative pressure air to the negative pressure device of the detachable unit 60. The vent hole 61d is formed in a state of opening on the back surface of the detachable unit body 61. When the detachable unit 60 is attached to the head main body 41, the suction pad 55b of the front plate 43 abuts the rear surface of the detachable unit main body 61 in a state of surrounding the vent hole 61d, and the negative pressure from the suction pump 80 is sucked into the tape of the detachable unit 60. It will be in the state which can be supplied to negative pressure equipment, such as part 67.
The positioning pins 63a and 63b are inserted into the positioning holes 45a and 45b of the head main body 41 in a detachable state, and two are installed on the back surface of the detachable unit main body 61. Further, the positioning pins 63a and 63b are arranged so that they can be simultaneously inserted into the corresponding positioning holes 45a and 45b. When both the positioning pins 63a and 63b are inserted into the corresponding positioning holes 45a and 45b, the detachable unit 60 is supported by the dock body 41 in a state where the position relative to the head body 41 is positioned.
The upstream side push roller 65 (see FIG. 3) presses the tape T drawn from the roll R against the surface of the workpiece W. As shown in FIG. 6, the upstream push roller 65 protrudes downward from the lower end of the detachable unit 60 (head 40). Accordingly, when the head 40 is lowered toward the work W in a state where the tape T has been pulled down to the position below the upstream push roller 65, the tip of the tape T drawn by the upstream push roller 65 is moved to the work piece. Pressed against W.
The guide rollers 66a and 66b are means for guiding the tape T drawn from the roll R set in the roll holding portion 64 to the tape feed path Tr, and are installed in the detachable unit 60 for convenience. In the apparatus of this embodiment, the tape T is turned around the guide rollers 66a and 66b with the back surface of the tape that is not an adhesive surface facing the guide rollers 66a and 66b.
The tape suction part 67 is means for sucking and holding the tape T by suction and guiding it, and has a flat suction surface 67a for sucking the back surface of the tape T. When the tape T drawn to the position of the tape suction portion 67 is sucked by the suction surface 67a, the tape T is sucked and held on the tape feed path Tr.
The engaging pins 68 and 69 are engaged with engaging holes 74 and 75 described later formed in the dock 70. Specifically, the engaging pins 68 and 69 are pin-shaped protrusions arranged on the front surface of the detachable unit main body 61 (the surface facing the dock main body 71), and protrude forward from the front surface of the detachable unit main body 61. Shaft portions 68a and 69a (see FIG. 3), and disk-shaped head portions 68b and 69b attached to the distal end side of the shaft portion. The heads 68b and 69b of the engaging pins are provided with a larger diameter than the shafts 68a and 69a, so that when the engaging pins 68 and 69 are engaged with the engaging holes 74 and 75, the engaging holes The disconnection of the engagement pins 68 and 69 from 74 and 75 is prevented.
The tape holder 64 holds a roll R in which an adhesive tape (hereinafter simply referred to as a tape) T whose only one surface is an adhesive surface is wound in a roll shape. The tape holder 64 includes a shaft body (shaft portion) 81 extending in the front-rear direction (left-right direction in FIG. 5), a roll holding fixing plate 82 fixed to the shaft body 81, and an axial direction (= A roll holding press plate 83 installed on the shaft body 81 so as to be movable in the front-rear direction) and a fixing member 90 for fixing the press plate 83 are provided. The roll R is held by the tape holder 64 while being held between the fixed plate 82 and the press plate 83. The roll R to be held includes an annular roll base Rc and a tape T wound around the outer periphery of the roll base Rc. The wound tape T can be fed out from the roll R.
The fixing member 90 includes a plunger 91 that stops the presser plate 83 at the roll attaching / detaching position of the front end portion of the shaft body 81, and a connecting member 92 that connects the fixed platen 82 and the presser plate 83.
The presser plate 83 is stopped at the roll attaching / detaching position at the front end portion of the shaft body 81 using the plunger 91 during the roll attaching / detaching operation. Further, since the presser plate 83 holds the roll R in cooperation with the fixed platen 82 after the roll is mounted, the presser plate 83 is positioned at a position where the roll R is sandwiched by the urging force of the coil spring 93 provided in the connecting member 92.
The dock (dock unit) 70 is an exchange station for the detachable unit 60 of the head 40, and is installed on each dock support part (dock base) 16a, 16b of the frame 10, as shown in FIG.
The engagement holes 74 and 75 are holes through which the engagement pins 68 and 69 of the detachable unit 60 are engaged, and are rear surfaces (opposing surfaces) that are surfaces on one side of the rack plate 73 facing the mounted detachable unit 60. 2).
Each of the engagement holes 74 and 75 (see FIG. 9) includes a large diameter portion (large hole portion) 74a and 75a arranged on the upper side and a small diameter portion (small hole portion) 74b and 75b arranged on the lower side. It is a hole (8-shaped long hole) that overlaps each other. The diameters of the large diameter portions 74a and 75a are larger than the diameters of the heads (projecting portions) 68b and 69b of the engaging pins, and the head portions 68b and 69b can be inserted into the large diameter portions 74a and 75a. The diameters of the small diameter portions 74b and 75b are smaller than the diameters of the engaging pin head portions 68b and 69b and larger than the diameters of the engaging pin shaft portions 68a and 69a. Furthermore, the length of the shaft portions 68a and 69a of the engagement pin is slightly longer than the length of the engagement holes 74 and 75.
Therefore, the heads 68b and 69b of the engagement pins 68 and 69 are inserted into the large diameter portions 74a and 75a of the engagement holes 74 and 75, and the entire head 40 is slightly lowered, so that the shafts of the engagement pins 68 and 69 are reduced. The portions 68a and 69a are seated on the bottoms of the small diameter portions 74b and 75b of the engagement holes 74 and 75, respectively. After the seating, since the heads 68b, 69b of the engaging pins are larger in diameter than the small diameter parts 74b, 75b of the engaging holes 74, 75, the heads 68b, 69b are caught by the small diameter parts 74b, 75b, The removal (drop) of the detachable unit 60 from the dock body 71 is prevented. In addition, both the engagement holes 74 and 75 are arranged so that the corresponding engagement pins 68 and 69 can be simultaneously inserted into the large diameter portions 74a and 75a and can be simultaneously engaged with the small diameter portions 74b and 75b. .
Further, from the state in which the shaft portions 68a, 69a of the engaging pins 68, 69 are seated on the bottoms of the small diameter portions 74b, 75b of the engaging holes 74, 75, the detachable unit 60 is raised to engage the engaging pins 68, 69. When the heads 68b and 69b are positioned at the large diameter portions 74a and 75a of the engagement holes 74 and 75, the detachable unit 60 is then separated from the dock body 71 by separating the detachable unit 60 from the dock body 71. Can do.
The detachable unit holding magnet 79 is installed at a position where it comes into contact with the detachable unit body 61 of the detachable unit 60 mounted on the dock body 71. More specifically, the detachable unit holding magnet 79 has the same height as the engaging hole 75 disposed above one holding arm 52 out of the two engaging holes 74 and 75, and the other holding arm. It is located above 51 and at a position where it comes into contact with the detachable unit main body 61. Therefore, when the detachable unit 60 is attached to the dock body 71, the detachable unit main body 61 is attracted by the detachable unit holding magnet 79, and is supported at three places by the two engagement holes 74 and 75 and the detachable unit holding magnet 79. The unit 60 is securely held by the dock body 71.
Also, since the detachable unit holding magnet 79 is installed at a position facing the portion near the center of gravity of the detachable unit 60, when the detachable unit 60 is separated from the dock body 71 after the detachable unit 60 is mounted on the head body 41, The detachable unit 60 can be smoothly separated from the dock main body 71.
The support arm 76a is a plate-like member that is formed on the other end side of the dock main body 71, extends downward from the other end portion, and has a predetermined shape. Tape positioning part) 76 is provided. The tape temporary fixing surface 76 is disposed downstream of the upstream pushing roller 65 in the tape feeding path Tr, and the tape feeding path in a state where the tape T is sucked and held by the tape suction portion 67. It is arranged on the extension line of Tr. That is, when a new roll R is attached to the detachable unit 60 of the dock 70, the tip of the tape T is pulled out from the roll R so that the tape T can be held and guided by the suction force of the tape suction portion 67. Affixed to the tape temporary fixing surface 76.
The opening 77 is formed on the surface opposite to the facing surface of the dock main body 71 at a position facing the engaging region of the detachable unit support portion and the engaging portion. In other words, the opening 77 is formed in a range of the dock body 71 including the engagement region between the detachable unit support portion and the engagement portion. More specifically, when the detachable unit 60 is attached to the dock body 71, the opening 77 is an interference between the tape holder 64, the roll R and guide rollers 66a and 66b attached to the tape holder 64, and the dock body 71. It is formed in the position and range which can prevent. Therefore, when the detachable unit 60 is held on the dock body 71, the detachable unit 60 can be hooked and held on the dock body 71 easily, quickly and reliably. Also, with the detachable unit 60 held by the dock body 71, the tape holder 64 of the detachable unit 60 and the roll R attached thereto can be viewed from the back side of the dock body 71 through the opening 77. In addition, the tape holder 64 and the roll R can be accessed. In other words, for the tape holder 64 of the detachable unit 60 that has been automatically transferred from the head body 41 to the dock body 71, the roll replacement work is performed as it is (suspended) from the back side of the dock body 71. It can be performed.
The dock body holding mechanism 78 is means for holding the dock body 71 moved to the detachable unit replacement position (see the dock body position in FIG. 13) at this position, and the first holding magnet 78a (see FIG. 9), a second holding magnet 78b (see FIG. 11) installed on the back side of the dock body, a first stopper 78c (see FIG. 11) installed on the back side of the mount 72m, and the dock body 71 A cover 71c (see FIG. 9) installed at one end portion and a second stopper 78d installed at the other end portion of the dock body 71 on the opposite side.
The first holding magnet 78a (see FIG. 9) is installed at a position where it can be in contact with and attracted to the second stopper 78d when the dock body 71 is positioned at the roll replacement work position (see the dock body position in FIG. 9). ing. Further, the second holding magnet 78b and the stopper 78c (see FIG. 11) are disposed in such a manner that they can come into contact with each other when the dock body 71 is located at the detachable unit replacement position.
Therefore, when the dock main body 71 is moved to the detachable unit replacement position (see the dock main body position in FIG. 13), the second stopper 78c is attracted by the second holding magnet 78b, so that the dock main body 71 is securely in the detachable unit replacement position. Retained. When the dock main body 71 is moved to the roll replacement position (see the dock main body position in FIG. 14), the dock main body 71 is securely held at the roll replacement position by the first holding magnet 78a.
As shown in FIG. 7, the controller C is connected to operation control targets such as the head moving mechanism 37 and the tape suction unit 67 via signal lines, and control signals can be transmitted to and received from these control targets. It is possible. Then, the controller C controls the tape application operation and the detachable unit replacement operation by the head moving mechanism 37, the tape suction unit 67, and the like. The head moving mechanism 37 is a moving mechanism for moving the head 40 by moving the moving bar 32 of the frame 10 in the left-right direction, moving the head support member 34 in the front-rear direction, and moving the elevating member 36 up and down. It is a general term. The head moving mechanism 37 of the present embodiment employs an orthogonal moving mechanism, but as another head moving mechanism, an articulated moving mechanism composed of a plurality of arms may be employed. Further, since the control signal transmission / reception method is a well-known method, detailed description thereof is omitted here.
Next, the tape exchanging operation automatically executed during the tape applying operation in the tape applying device will be described with reference to FIGS. 8, 9 and 13 to 15.
Before executing the tape exchange operation, the detachable unit preparation operation described below is completed.
In the attachment / detachment unit preparation work, one of the two docks 70 is positioned at the roll attachment / detachment position in an empty state. And the holding part 71h of the other dock 70 is held, and the dock main body 41 is moved to the roll attaching / detaching position (see FIG. 9). In this state, the dock main body 41 is made to hold the detachable unit 60 to which the new roll R is mounted (see FIG. 14). At this time, the attaching / detaching unit 60 to which the new roll R is attached may be newly held by the other dock body 71, or the new roll R is attached to the tape holder 64 of the attaching / detaching unit 60 already held. You may do it.
Then, the tape T is pulled out from the roll R mounted on the attachment / detachment unit 60 of the other dock 70, is hung along the tape feed path Tr, and the tip of the tape is attached to the temporary tape fastening surface 76 without any slack (see FIG. 6).
Thereafter, when the dock body 41 is moved to the detachable unit replacement position (engagement / disengagement position, see FIG. 13), the dock body 71 is held at the detachable unit replacement position by the dock body holding mechanism 78, and the detachable unit preparation work is completed.
When the tape T of the tape applicator 1 during the tape applicating operation is exhausted in a state where such a detachable unit preparation operation is completed, the following tape exchanging operation is automatically executed.
In the tape exchange operation, the head moving mechanism 37 is used as an engagement / disengagement moving means for moving the head 40 or the head main body 41. As described above, the head moving mechanism 37 can move the head 40 back and forth, left and right, and up and down, and the detachable unit 60 mounted on the head 40 and the head main body 41 can be connected to a surface parallel to the front surface of the dock main body 41. Can be moved in any direction (Y direction and Z direction).
In general, the tape replacement operation consists of a head return step for moving the head 40 with no tape to the dock 70, a detachment unit removal step for removing the detachable unit 60 with the tape removed from the head body 41, and a new tape. An attachment / detachment unit attachment step for attaching the attachment / detachment unit 60 to the head main body 41 and a head moving step for moving the head 40 attached with the new tape T to the tape application work position are provided.
In the head return step, first, the head 40 that has been performing the tape application operation at the application work position is moved toward the attachment / detachment unit attachment / detachment position of one dock (empty dock) 70. The state shown in FIG. 12 is the state of the head 40 immediately before being moved to the detachable unit engaging / disengaging position. When the head 40 is further moved to the dock body 71 from this state, the engagement pins 68 and 69 are first inserted into the engagement holes 74 and 75, and then the front surface of the detachable unit 60 (opposite the dock body 71). Surface) comes into contact with the rear surface of the rack plate 73 of the dock body 71 (the surface facing the detachable unit 60). At the same time, the detachable unit holding magnet (detachable unit holding mechanism) 79 attracts the detachable unit main body 61. Thereafter, the head 40 is lowered, and the engagement pins 68 and 69 are engaged with the small diameter portions 74b and 75b of the engagement holes 74 and 75, respectively.
In the subsequent detachable unit removal step, first, the holding arms 51 and 52 of the head body 41 are operated to move the rods 51b and 52b forward and rotate the claws 51c and 52c downward. As a result, the holding state of the detachable unit 60 by the head body 41 is released, and the detachable unit 60 is held by the dock body 71 by the engagement holes 74 and 75 and the detachable unit holding magnet 79. Thereafter, when the head 40 is separated from the dock body 71, the removal of the detachable unit 60 from the head 40 is completed.
In the subsequent attaching / detaching unit mounting step, first, the head body 41 separated from the one dock body 71 holding the detached attaching / detaching unit 60 is moved to the attaching / detaching unit engaging / disengaging position of the other dock 70. At this time, the head body 41 is moved so that the positioning pins 63a and 63b on the back surface of the detachable unit 60 of the other dock 70 are inserted into the positioning holes 45a and 45b of the front plate 43 of the head body 41. Then, the holding arms 51 and 52 of the head body 41 are held and the detachable unit 60 is held. Thereafter, the suction part 67 of the detachable unit 60 is operated. As a result, the tape T is adsorbed to the suction surface 67a of the suction part 67. Further, the blade 48 of the cutter unit 46 is moved forward to cut the tape front end portion affixed to the tape temporary fixing surface 76 and the roll R side of the tape T.
Thereafter, by raising the head 40, the engagement pins 68, 69 of the detachable unit 60 newly attached to the head body 41 are positioned at the large diameter portions 74a, 75a of the engagement holes 74, 75, and the head 40 is moved. Separate from the dock body 71. Since the tape roll R side and the leading end of the tape are cut by the previous tape cutting operation, the tape is prevented from being unnecessarily drawn from the roll R during the separation operation. Thereby, the attachment of the detachable unit to the head main body 41 is completed.
In the subsequent head return step, the head 40 with the new tape T is moved to the tape application work position, and the tape application operation by the head 40 is resumed.
In this embodiment, the exchange operation by the two docks 70 has been described, but in the exchange operation by one dock 70, the detachable unit 60 is suspended from the head 40 to the empty dock 70 waiting at the detachable unit engaging / disengaging position. . Thereafter, the dock 70 is moved to the tape exchange position, and the tape is exchanged. While the tape is being exchanged, the head 40 is kept waiting at the position before the attachment / detachment of the attachment / detachment unit 60, and after the tape exchange is completed, when the dock 70 is positioned at the attachment / detachment unit attachment / detachment position, a predetermined signal is displayed. The detachable unit mounting step is performed according to (for example, a mounting start signal).
Thus, in the tape sticking apparatus of the present embodiment, roll replacement can be automatically executed when the tape of the head 40 is exhausted by performing the above-described detachable unit preparation work in advance. Since the roll exchange operation is all automatic, the roll exchange is quick and the roll exchange work efficiency is improved. Moreover, since the tape sticking operation by the automatic operation can be continuously performed, the entire operation can be continuously performed without affecting the operations from the upstream process to the downstream process. Moreover, the tape sticking operation efficiency of the tape sticking device can be improved by improving the roll exchanging work efficiency.
The above-described attachment / detachment unit preparation operation is an operation performed by an operator, but can be easily performed between automatic tape replacement operations. Therefore, even if there is a work for preparing the detachable unit by the operator, the efficiency of the tape exchange work that is automatically performed does not decrease. The detachable unit preparation work is a simple work and can be automatically performed.
In this embodiment, an example in which the head 40 side is moved up and down when removing the detachable unit 60 from which the tape has been removed from the head body 41 or when newly mounting the detachable unit 60 on the head body 41 will be described. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the dock 70 (or the dock main body 71) may be provided with moving means that can move in any direction (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) on a plane parallel to the front surface of the detachable unit 60. At this time, the direction in which the holes in the engagement holes 74 and 75 communicate with each other is the same direction as the moving direction of the moving means.
The present invention is useful as a device for quickly attaching a tape to a workpiece W having a portion that needs to be fixed by attaching a tape.
