Abstract

L'invention concerne un générateur de créneaux de courant, adapté pour fournir aux bornes d'une charge (7) des signaux de courant régulé, de polarité alternée, sous haute tension, comprenant : - une pluralité d'étages secondaires (20), comportant au moins une source de tension continue isolée des sources de tension des autres étages, connectés en série entre le point milieu du second (Q3, Q4) demi -pont de chaque étage secondaire et le point milieu du premier (Q1, Q2) demi-pont de l'étage secondaire suivant, les bornes de la charge (7) étant respectivement reliées au point milieu du premier demi-pont d'un premier étage secondaire, et au point milieu du second demi pont d'un dernier étage secondaire, et - un circuit de commande (15) adapté pour : ▪ sélectionner un groupe d'étages secondaires (20), dit étages actifs, et parmi lesdits étages actifs au moins un étage, dit étage de régulation, ▪ commander simultanément chaque étage actif, à l'exception de l'étage de régulation, à la fréquence des créneaux de courant, ▪ commander l'étage de régulation selon une fréquence supérieure à la précédente, avec un rapport cyclique de commande adapté pour réguler le courant circulant dans la charge à la valeur de consigne, ▪ commander les commutateurs (Q1-Q4) des étages secondaires non sélectionnés pour isoler leur source de tension.
