Abstract

본 출원은 도로 정보 제공 기술에 관한 것으로, 도로 정보 제공 방법은 지도 정보 제공 서버와 무선으로 연결 가능한 모바일 단말에서 수행된다. 여기에서, 상기 지도 정보 제공 서버는 도로 주변 정보 또는 도로에 대한 파노라마 이미지를 제공한다. 상기 도로 정보 제공 방법은 (a) 도로가 포함된 지도를 디스플레이 하는 단계, (b) 사용자로부터 상기 도로의 적어도 일부를 따라 터치되어 드래그된 제1 경로를 입력받는 단계, (c) 상기 제1 경로에 대하여 시작 위치, 종료 위치 및 적어도 하나의 경유지 위치를 결정하는 단계, (d) 상기 제1 경로의 상기 시작 위치, 종료 위치 및 적어도 하나의 경유지 위치에 대한 정보를 이용하여 상기 지도 정보 제공 서버에 상기 제1 경로와 연관된 도로 정보-상기 도로 정보는 상기 도로 주변 정보 또는 상기 도로에 대한 파노라마 이미지를 포함함-를 요청하는 단계 및 (e) 상기 지도 정보 제공 서버로부터 수신된 상기 제1 경로와 연관된 도로 정보를 디스플레이 하는 단계를 포함한다. 따라서 개시된 기술은 사용자가 간편하게 드래그한 입력을 기초로 해당 경로에 대한 도로 정보 및 연속적인 파노라마 이미지를 제공할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
