Definitions
- the present invention relates to a technique for detecting an echo of a reception signal mixed in a transmission signal and erasing the detected echo from the transmission signal.
- An echo canceller is generally composed of a combination of a linear echo processing unit that cancels linear echo components and a residual echo suppression processing unit that suppresses linear echo components that cannot be completely erased by linear echo processing and nonlinear echo components. Often. Such a configuration is disclosed in Non-Patent Document 1, for example. However, in the echo canceller disclosed in Non-Patent Document 1, when the echo and the transmitted voice are overlapped, that is, a double talk state occurs, the residual echo and the transmitted voice are simultaneously suppressed by the residual echo suppression processing unit. There was a problem.
- Patent Literature 1 discloses a method for flexibly controlling a suppression coefficient used for amplitude suppression of an audio signal in a residual echo suppression processing unit.
- the power of the estimated echo signal obtained by multiplying the estimated acoustic coupling amount by the received signal power from the power of the microphone input signal in which the transmitted voice and the echo signal are superimposed is obtained.
- An echo suppression method that obtains an echo suppression amount using the above is disclosed.
- the conventional method for determining the echo suppression amount based on the power of the estimated echo signal calculated based on the acoustic coupling amount described above has two problems.
- One is a problem that when the background noise is large, the echo is buried in the background noise, so that the amount of acoustic coupling cannot be correctly observed, thereby reducing the estimation accuracy of the echo signal power.
- the other is that when the echo path changes and the acoustic coupling amount itself changes, it becomes necessary to re-observe the acoustic coupling amount, and an accurate observation value can be obtained and an appropriate echo suppression amount can be calculated. It is a problem that echo cannot be suppressed properly. As a result, the echo suppression amount is not accurately calculated under the above-described conditions, causing problems such as residual echo or excessive suppression of the transmitted voice and hindering the call.
- the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an echo canceller capable of calculating an appropriate echo suppression amount even under high noise or when the echo path changes.
- the purpose is to obtain.
- the echo cancellation apparatus includes a first residual signal obtained using the filter coefficient sequence of the update filter obtained by the previous operation, and a filter coefficient sequence of the update filter obtained by the previous operation.
- the signal-to-echo ratio indicating the abundance ratio of the echo component with respect to the received signal is calculated based on the second residual signal obtained using the updated filter coefficient sequence obtained by updating the coefficient using an arbitrary update step size.
- the present invention even when talking under high noise or when the echo path changes, the occurrence of residual echo is suppressed, and the speech is inhibited by excessively suppressing the transmitted voice. Therefore, a suitable call environment can be provided.
