Abstract

The present invention relates to a finishing strip to be implemented in construction, namely on the outer surfaces of buildings. Such strips, originally made of lead, are currently replaced by more environmentally-friendly substitute materials. The qualities of malleability, toughness, and durability of lead are then most often lost. The disclosed material offers these same qualities, but does not contain lead. The material specifically consists of a multilayer strip including two sheets of zinc (1, 2) arranged on either side of a composite layer (3) containing a mixture of an inorganic powder material, which can be clay, and a binder, which can be linseed oil.
