  • An aspect of at least one of the inventions disclosed herein includes the realization that incorporating a viscoelastic material in a flashing strip can overcome certain problems.
  • existing flashing strips include a body formed of a resilient rubber material that has exceptional memory or recovery characteristics. As such, it can be difficult to manipulate these flashing strips to form certain shapes during installation because of the tendency of the material to recoil or spring back to its initial form.

Abstract
