Description

RECIPROCATING MOTION FEED BICYCLE WITH PULLEYS
The invention concerns, the mechanical system of the kinetic ordinance of bicycle, which is the shaft rotation by exerting muscular press to pedals. Alternatively to the muscular press, electrical motors are used. Bicycle's most widespread use, is as vehicle or lorry, of two or more wheels for transportation of one or more passengers or load and others, like stationary type, as exercise bicycle, as light type of craft, but also in the past with single pedal to simple machines, as grid-wheel of cutting tools, as spindle of knitting wool and others, more recent ones, like the one of light airplane, at experimental stage with successful testing.
The present invention, is concerned with the motion mechanism of the wheeled bicycle, which is used as vehicle or lorry, in which the drive shaft rotates by the exertion of muscular press to pedals, fitted to the edge of arms with their other edge firmly fitted to the drive shaft, which is equipped with cog(wheel) and transmits its rotating motion to a cogiwheel) fitted with freewheel(ratchet) to the driving wheel of the vehicle or lorry. It is established to be included in the motion's transmission system equipment, a gear system, for the change of moment and speed. It is increasing also, the use of electrical motor, subsidiary or alternatively to the cyclist's muscular motion press.
The very important benefits of bicycle, the most ecological and economical vehicle-lorry, have made it very popular to regions with flat geomorphology mainly, but it has the disadvantage of the power's insufficiency, which is the cyclist's muscular power. This, becomes obvious when cycling becomes tiring on an upward course, on carrying load, on keeping high speed in long courses. This insufficiency is covered in a part by the use of electrical motor, but it has the disadvantage of the energy dependence from the stable electrical network and the solution of the use of photovoltaic electricity generation system, gives energy autonomy only in sunny day charging time and demands large surfaces, which is generally incompatible with vehicle functionality. A solution to the above technical problems is given by the flywheel-powered motion' s machine, which however for the uses with small demands in power, the weight of its equipment, is maybe found disproportionate to the required efficiency.
The purpose of the present invention, is to create a bicycle kinetic mechanism, according to the above mentioned, which is much more efficient than the widely used mechanism, with the same approximately weight, to fit easily to the construction frame of vehicles for any use, light types of craft and airplane, generators, as well as to the flywheel- powered motion's machine, that would make its operation more handy and efficient.
In accordance with the invention, the performance of considerably higher work, than that of the widely used kinetic mechanism, is achieved because the pedals are fitted to the edges of arms with multiple length than those of the widely used bicycle mechanism, due to transposition of the drive shaft to functional position on the construction frame, which is independent for each arm and to which the cyclist moves the pedals reciprocatingly, successively or simultaneously, from the upper initial location of the arms, to which they return by the help of a return gear, when no force is exercised on pedals, till the lower final position, determining a motion distance, approximately equal to the diameter of the pedals rotation circle, of the widely used bicycle mechanism, the perpendicular bisector of which, determines the straight line on which the functional position of the drive shafts is selected, and firmly fitted to the pedals edges of each arm, means, like wire ropes, which are annexed to the motion course of pulley tackles, comprising of immovable and movable pulley, whose shafts are moving on a steady runner, and edges of other wire ropes, fitted on the one hand, on the moving part of the pulley tackles and on the other, on the circumference of wheels or of part of wheels, on which they are fitted and rotate regressively around their shaft, by the regressive movement of the arms and means like wheels, rotating simultaneously with the wheels or the part of wheels, where the wire ropes are fitted to, transmits motion by the suitable direction of rotation and by the help of a non-return mechanism for the provided regressive motion from each arm, to common shaft, which they rotate and with the appropriate motion transmission ratios, they rotate the final shaft with the possibility to reverse the direction.
The reciprocating motion feed bicycle with pulleys, in accordance with the invention, presents considerable advantages in relation to the widely used mechanism, because on the one hand the momentum from the cyclist's power on the drive shaft is equally multiple with the multiple number of the arm length of the widely used bicycle mechanism, which is approximately 20 centimeters, in the alternating pedals motion and double of such multiple number in the simultaneous motion of the two arms, and on the other, the pulley tackle submultiplles equally with the number of pulleys, the required power supply for the generation of work or vice versa, multiplies equally with the number of pulleys, the power supplied to the edge of the fitted to the moving part of the pulley tackle, wire rope. Also the total weight of the mechanism equipment is approximately equal to that of the widely used bicycle mechanism and of course much less than the overall weight of the equipment of the flywheel powered motion's machine, rendering the operation thereof handy and more efficient.
The invention, is described below with the help of an example and with reference to the attached drawing, in which:
The drawing illustrates a two-wheeled reciprocating motion feed bicycle with pulleys, having pedals (1 A) and (I B) as fitted to the widely used bicycle mechanism, respectively fitted to the one edge of each arm (2A) and (2B), which are equipped with means of return to the initial upper position and the other edge of each arm, firmly fitted on independent drive shafts (3A) and (3B) and fitted to the edges of the pedals (2A) and (2B) are wire ropes (4A) and (4B), which are annexed to respective pulley tackles (5A) and (5B), with the shafts of the movable pulleys, to move on a steady course and at the outer edge of the movable part of (5A) and (5B), respective wire ropes (6A) and (6B) are fitted, the other edges of which, are fitted on wheels (7A) and (7B) respectively, on whose circumference they are coiled and which regress, around their shaft by the regressive motion of (2A) and (2 B) and chain wheels (8A) and (8B), respectively, on the same shaft and moving simultaneously with (7A) and (7B), are in engagement with the chain wheels (9A) and (9B), each of them being fitted by the help of non-return mechanism, to a common shaft (9), bearing firmly fitted thereon a gear (1 0), that transmits motion via gear system (7), to the final motion shaft (8), of the bicycle wheel.
Note: In the drawing both sides of the bicycle are similar and the corresponding mechanical parts of both sides thereof, are written on the lower and upper part.
