Abstract
Eine LED-Lichtquelle ist mit einer primären Lichtquelle ausgestattet, insbesondere einer weiß emittierenden LED, deren Strahlung durch ein beabstandet angebrachtes Streuelement, das als Kuppel der primären Lichtquelle vorgeschaltet ist, gestreut wird. Die Kuppel ist mit einem Diffusormaterial versehen, das eine gleichmäßige Lichtverteilungskurve ermöglicht.

Technisches Gebiet
Die Erfindung geht aus von einer LED-Lichtquelle gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1. Sie betrifft weiterhin auch eine zugehörige Baueinheit, ein Modul oder Leuchte, mit einer derartigen LED-Lichtquelle.
Stand der Technik Aus der US 7 758 223 ist eine LED-Lichtquelle vorbekannt, bei der eine Kuppel, die Leuchtstoff beinhaltet, über ei¬ nem LED-Array aufgespannt ist.
Die WO 2010/089397 zeigt ein LED-Lichtquelle mit einer Kuppel, die als Kugelabschnitt geformt ist mit einem Raumwinkel, der größer als 2n ist. Eine Außenhülle aus Glas kann hier als Diffusor dienen.
Darstellung der Erfindung
Eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, ein verbessertes Konzept für eine LED-Lichtquelle bereitzustel¬ len. Eine weitere Aufgabe ist es, eine LED-Lichtquelle, insbesondere ein LED-basiertes Leuchtmittel wie z. B. ei¬ ne LED-Retrofit-Lampe bereitzustellen, bei der eine mög¬ lichst omnidirektionale Lichtverteilungskurve erzeugt wird .
Diese Aufgaben werden gelöst durch die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Anspruchs 1.
Besonders vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen finden sich in den abhängigen Ansprüchen.
LED-Lichtquellen, insbesondere LED-Retrofit-Lampen, werden heute standardmäßig mit einem LED-Array, einer be- stimmten Anzahl weißer LED, montiert auf einer Leiterplatte, realisiert. Eine übliche Ausführungsform ist, dass die zur Erzeugung weißen Lichts notwendige Wellenlängenkonversion eines blau emittierenden LED-Chips auf InGaN-Basis in der LED und damit chipnah erfolgt. Typi- scherweise ist das den oder die Leuchtstoffe enthaltende Konversionselement direkt auf dem Chip aufgebracht.
Bei einer anderen Ausführungsform einer LED-Lichtquelle, dem sog. "Remote Phosphor"-Konzept , ist der Leuchtstoff dagegen räumlich deutlich von den blauen LEDs getrennt. Der Abstand liegt je nach Ausführungsform typisch bei 0,5 bis 10 cm, insbesondere bei 1,5 bis 5 cm. Stand der Tech¬ nik ist hier eine Ausführungsform mit einem kuppeiförmigen Konversionselement in einfacher Geometrie, beispiels¬ weise ein Kugelsegment mit konstanter Schalendicke, in- nerhalb eines äußeren, diffusen Lampenkolbens sowie Aus¬ führungsformen, bei denen der Leuchtstoff direkt auf dem äußeren, transparenten Kolben aufgebracht ist.
Erfindungsgemäß wird eine verbesserte Ausgestaltung einer LED-Lichtquelle, unabhängig von der konkreten Ausfüh- rungsform wie oben erläutert, vorgestellt. Dabei sind folgende Punkte wichtig:
Das Problem besteht insbesondere darin, aus der mehr oder weniger gerichteten Ausstrahlung einer primären Lichtquelle eine möglichst gut gleichverteilte, in alle Rich- tungen abstrahlende Lichtverteilungskurve, hier oft als
omnidirektionale Lichtverteilungskurve bezeichnet, zu er¬ zeugen. Damit wird die Abstrahlung einer möglichst glei¬ chen Lichtintensität in jeden Raumwinkel angestrebt.
Bisher wurde eine omnidirektionale Abstrahlung von LED- Lampen einfach dadurch erzeugt, dass man die LEDs nicht auf einer Platte angeordnet hat, sondern beispielsweise auf einer zylindrischen Oberfläche. Durch diese Rundum- Anordnung der LEDs ist es möglich, Licht in ausreichendem Maße in den gesamten Raum abzustrahlen. Allerdings ist diese Anordnung von der Montage her ziemlich aufwendig und sie benötigt viel Bauraum.
Bei der hier vorgestellten Erfindung wird der Lichtquelle (z.B. einer LED) eine Kuppel aus streuendem Material vorgeschaltet, welches das gerichtete Licht der Quelle nahe- zu isotrop in alle Richtungen streut.
Als Kuppelform sind beispielsweise eine Kugel (-schale) , eine Oblate, ein Ellipsoid oder andere Formen möglich. Als Streumaterial kommen z. B. mit Diffusoren vermischte Kunststoffe in Frage. Hier sind z. B. Silikon, Plexiglas (PMMA) oder Polycarbonat (PC) als Trägermaterial verwend¬ bar, je nach Anforderung an die Temperaturbeständigkeit. Als Diffusoren bieten sich Aluminiumoxid (A1203) , Titandioxid (Ti02) oder gegebenenfalls Siliziumdioxid (Si02) an. Ersteres hat den Vorteil, das der Brechungsindex von A1203 von n = 1.77 nahe dem Brechungsindex des Trägerma¬ terials liegt (Silikon: n * 1.4, PMMA, PC: n * 1.5). Da¬ durch ist eine hohe Transmission bei trotzdem starker Streuung möglich.
Um eine hohe Effizienz zu erreichen, sollte vorteilhaft die ebene Fläche E, auf der sich die Lichtquelle befin-
det, im Verhältnis zur Oberfläche OFL der Kuppel mög¬ lichst klein sein, damit nur wenig des zwangsläufig auch zurück gestreuten Lichts absorbiert werden kann. Ein ausreichender Wert ist E/OFL < 0,1, besser noch < 0,04. Im vorgestellten, exemplarischen Beispiel wird eine nahezu vollständige Kugelschale mit Radius R = 6 mm und Wand¬ dicke D = 0.5 und als Lichtquelle eine LED mit einem Ab¬ strahlwinkel von 150° verwendet. Das Trägermaterial ist Polycarbonat , das Diffusormaterial ist A1203 mit einem Anteil von 4 Gewichts-% des Trägermaterials.
Die Kugelschale kann insbesondere gestaucht sein (Oblate mit Breite a größer als Länge b = R) oder auch gestreckt sein (Ellipsoid mit Länge b größer als Breite a = R) . Darüber hinaus wurde auch der relative Anteil an Diffusor systematisch variiert. Alternativ dazu kann die Wanddicke der Kuppel verändert werden, was quasi einer Konzentrati¬ onsänderung entspricht. Im Falle der Variation des Diffu- sorgehalts wurde auch der Einfluss auf die optische Effi¬ zienz untersucht. Die vorgestellten Formen für die Kuppel strahlen alle auch nach hinten ab. Darüber hinaus kann die genaue Abstrahlcharakteristik durch die Form der Kuppel eingestellt werden.
Es wird damit eine nahezu omnidirektionale Abstrahlung bei hohen Effizienzen bis über 90% erreicht.
Am Ausführungsbeispiel einer Kugel wird statt einer Halb¬ kugel ein größerer Kugelabschnitt verwendet, also ein Ku¬ gelabschnitt mit gesamter Höhe h, die größer als der Ra¬ dius r der Kugel ist, also h > r. Dabei beträgt h etwa
das 1.2 bis 1.8-fache von r. Diese Relation gilt auch für nachfolgend beschriebene, besonders bevorzugte Hohlkör¬ per .
Der Hohlkörper ist bevorzugt ein Abschnitt eines El- lipsoids oder anderen elliptischen Körper, insbesondere ist der Hohlkörper ein Oblatenkörper im englischen Sinn des Wortes, also ein Hohlkörper, der an seinen Polen abgeflacht ist. Er kann auch eine Freiformfläche, insbeson¬ dere eine pilzartig geformte Oberfläche aufweisen. Die LED-Lichtquelle samt Kuppel, die insbesondere auch eine Remote-Phosphor-Kuppel sein kann, ist insbesondere auf einen Sockel oder sonstiges elektrisches und thermi¬ sches Anschlusselement gesetzt oder damit verbindbar.
Die Schichtdicke der Kuppel kann variabel sein, um weite- ren Einfluss auf die Fernfeldcharakteristik zu nehmen.
Als Vorteil ergibt sich eine Erhöhung der optischen Effizienz bedingt durch das vorteilhafte Verhältnis von OFL zu E. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die Vergrößerung des maximalen Abstrahlwinkels durch die Verwendung einer nahezu vollständigen Oblate.
Insbesondere sind folgende Bedingungen vorteilhaft:
Die Kuppel ist eine Kugel oder Oblatenkörper, in jedem Fall aber ist Kuppel rotationssymmetrisch. Sie ist einem LED-Array vorgeschaltet. Der Oblatenkörper ist insbesondere ein Ellipsoid mit ei¬ ner kleinen Halbachse a und zwei großen Halbachsen b=c. Die Höhe h des Oblatenkörpers ist mindestens das 1,1- fache von a, also h > 1,1a. Bevorzugt ist 1,1a ^ h <
1,8a. Alternativ kann der Oblatenkörper auch ein Freiformkörper sein oder ein Pilzkörper, ähnlich wie in Figur 7 von US 7 758 223 (dort allerdings mit völlig anderer Funktion, denn dort ist die Kuppel nur die äußere Schale mit reflektierendem unteren und durchlässigem oberen Teil) .
Dabei ist der Basis-Durchmesser des Oblatenkörpers größer als das eigentliche LED-Array. Der Oblatenkörper hat ei¬ nen Pol, der durch die Symmetrieachse des Oblatenkörpers geht, und einen Äquator.
Bevorzugt ist die Kuppel aus Silikon, Polycarbonat , Glas, Plexiglas oder transluzenter Keramik.
Allein oder zusätzlich zu Leuchtstoffen für eine Konversion ist ein Diffusormaterial in der Kuppel eingebaut, es handelt sich bevorzugt um Aluminiumoxid oder Titanoxid.
Bevorzugt wird als Leuchtstoff ein gelb emittierender Leuchtstoff wie YAG:Ce, andere Granate, Sialone oder Or- thosilikate verwendet, die zusammen mit einer blau emit¬ tierenden LED sich zu weiß mischen. Es sind aber auch RGB-Lösungen mit rot und grün emittierenden Leuchtstoffen und blauer LED möglich. Überdies sind auch Ausführungs¬ formen mit einer UV-LED, insbesondere mit blau-gelb- Konversion oder mit rot, grün und blau emittierenden Leuchtstoffen, möglich. Das LED-Array ist bevorzugt so arrangiert, dass die LEDs kreisförmig um einen zentralen Punkt, der die optische Achse bildet, angeordnet sind. Ggf. kann auch im zentra¬ len Punkt selbst eine LED angeordnet sein.
Die primäre Lichtquelle ist ein Halbleiter-Chip, reali¬ siert ggf. auch als LED oder Laserdiode oder Chip-on- board, der bevorzugt UV oder blau oder weiß emittiert.
Wesentliche Merkmale der Erfindung in Form einer nume- rierten Aufzählung sind:
1. LED-Lichtquelle mit einer primären Lichtquelle, insbe¬ sondere mindestens einem weiß oder blau oder UV emit¬ tierenden Halbleiter-Chip, wobei der Lichtquelle in Emissionsrichtung eine Kuppel aus transparentem oder transluzentem Material vorgelagert ist, dadurch ge¬ kennzeichnet, dass die Kuppel mit einem Diffusormate- rial ausgestattet ist, das dem Material der Kuppel beigemischt ist
2. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeich- net, dass das Diffusormaterial Aluminiumoxid, Titandi¬ oxid oder Siliziumdioxid, allein oder in Mischung, ist .
3. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die primäre Lichtquelle auf einer ebenen Platte montiert ist, wobei das Verhältnis zwischen der
Oberfläche der Kuppel und der ebenen Fläche der Licht¬ quelle möglichst groß ist und insbesondere im Bereich 5:1 bis 15:1 liegt .
LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Material der Kuppel Kunststoff, Glas, Silikon, Plexiglas oder Polycarbonat ist.
5. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der relative Anteil des Diffusormaterials im Material der Kuppel im Bereich von 2 bis 10 Gew.-% liegt . 6. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Strahlung der primären Lichtquelle durch ein vorgeschaltetes Konversionselement, das insbeson¬ dere als weitere Kuppel ausgebildet ist, teilweise oder vollständig in längerwellige Strahlung konver- tiert wird.
7. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Kuppel ein Abschnitt eines Oblatenkör¬ pers ist, der einen Äquator und einen Pol aufweist, wobei der Pol in Richtung der optischen Achse weist. 8. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Oblatenkörper ein Abschnitt eines El- lipsoids ist, insbesondere mit einer kleinen Halbachse a in Richtung zum Pol zeigend.
9. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeich- net, dass der Oblatenkörper einen Raumwinkel größer 2n aufspannt, insbesondere 2,5 n bis 3,5 n.
10. Baueinheit mit einer LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Baueinheit eine Leuchte oder ein LED-Modul ist.

Bevorzugte Ausführung der Erfindung
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel einer LED-Lichtquelle ist in Fi¬ gur 1 gezeigt. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Baueinheit 1 mit einem LED-Array 2, das einen Satz weißer LEDs 3 auf-
weist. Auf das LED-Array ist direkt ein Hohlkörper 4 auf¬ gesetzt, der sich kuppelartig über das LED-Array spannt. Der Hohlkörper ist beispielsweise ein Oblatenkörper oder er ist beispielsweise ein Ellipsoid. Es hat beispielswei- se eine kleine Halbachse b, die senkrecht auf dem LED- Array steht und eine große Halbachse a, die rotationssym¬ metrisch zur Halbachse b aufgespannt ist.
Als Kuppelform sind eine Kugel, Kugelschale, eine Oblate, ein Ellipsoid oder andere Formen möglich. Als Streumate- rial kommen insbesondere mit Diffusoren vermischte Kunst¬ stoffe in Frage. Hier sind z. B. Silikon, Plexiglas (PMMA) oder Polycarbonat (PC) als Trägermaterial verwend¬ bar, je nach Anforderung an die Temperaturbeständigkeit. Als Diffusoren eignen sich vor allem Aluminiumoxid (A1203) oder gegebenenfalls Titandioxid (Ti02) oder auch Siliziumdioxid einzeln oder in Kombination. Aluminiumoxid hat den Vorteil, das der Brechungsindex von A1203 von n = 1,77 nahe dem Brechungsindex des Trägermaterials liegt: Silikon hat n * 1,4, PMMA, PC haben n * 1,5. Da- durch ist eine hohe Transmission bei trotzdem starker Streuung möglich. Vorteilhaft sollte der Brechungsindex von Diffusormaterial und Kuppelmaterial, sofern der Dif- fusor in das Material der Kuppel eingebettet ist, um höchsten Δη = 0,4 differieren. Figur 2 zeigt ein besonders bevorzugtes Ausführungsbei¬ spiel, dessen Geometrie in wesentlichen Teilen der von Figur 1 entspricht. Dabei ist ein elektrisches Anschluss¬ teil 5, das eine reflektierende Oberfläche aufweist, und eine reflektierende Grundplatte 6 (hier realisiert als PCB) an das LED-Array 3 hinten angesetzt. Der Oblatenkörper 14 ist in zwei Bereiche unterschiedlicher Wandstärke
gegliedert. Der frontale Bereich 15 hat eine Wandstärke Wl von 0,5 mm, der dorsale Bereich 16 hat eine Wandstärke W2 von 0,43 mm. Der frontale Bereich reicht dabei vom Pol 17 zum Äquator 18 des Oblatenkörpers. Der Raumwinkel des frontalen Bereich ist hier 2n und der Übergang vom frontalen zum dorsalen Bereich stufenförmig. Die reflektierende Grundplatte 6 und Anschlussteil 5 verbessern die Effizienz der Baueinheit.
Die LED ist hier blau emittierend, wobei ein Teil der Strahlung durch Leuchtstoff in gewissem Abstand von der LED konvertiert wird, so dass weiß entsteht.
Ein Leuchtstoff, hier eine Mischung aus gelb-grün emit¬ tierendem Lu-haltigen Granat und einem rot emittierenden Nitridosilikat , ist in der Wand des Oblatenkörpers gleichmäßig dispergiert.
In einem konkreten Ausführungsbeispiel ist die Schichtdi¬ cke des Leuchtstoffs und damit die Wandstärke 0,5 mm. Der Oblatenkörper hat die Abmessungen a = 15 mm, b = 22 mm und h = 27 mm. Der Basis-Durchmesser BD der Kuppel defi- niert dann durch die Größen a, b und h eindeutig eine Ba¬ sisfläche .
Figur 3 zeigt eine Übersicht verschiedener Formen einer Kuppel, die mit Leuchtstoff ausgestattet ist.
Figur 3a zeigt eine Kuppel als halber Kugelabschnitt mit Radius r=10,5 mm. Die Farbtemperatur ist in Figur 4 mit etwa 3200 K angegeben. Als rechte Ordinate (gestrichelte Kurve) ist der Ra bzw. CRI angegeben. Die Effizienz gemäß Figur 5 ist allerdings sehr niedrig und der Abstrahlwinkel (rechte Ordinate/gestrichelte Kurve) sehr klein.
Figur 3b zeigt eine Kuppel als halber Kugelabschnitt mit Radius r=17 mm. Die Effizienz ist hier wegen des größeren Durchmessers der Basis der Kuppel höher.
Figur 3c zeigt eine Kuppel als Kugelabschnitt mit r = 17 mm, aber vergrößertem Raumwinkel von etwa 3n. Die Effizienz ist hier wegen des größeren Raumwinkels der Kuppel nochmals höher als in Figur 3b.
Figur 3d zeigt eine Kuppel mit erfindungsgemäßem Oblatenkörper. Hier ist die Effizienz wegen des nochmals größe- ren Raumwinkels der Kuppel nochmals höher als in Figur 3c und der Abstrahlwinkel ist nochmals deutlich erhöht.
Figur 3e zeigt eine Kuppel mit erfindungsgemäßem Oblatenkörper; dabei ist die LED-Lichtquelle auf einem Podest und mit reflektierendem Grundkörper montiert. Hier ist die Effizienz wegen des reflektierenden Grundkörpers und Podest nochmals höher als in Figur 3e und der Abstrahlwinkel ist nochmals etwas höher.
Figur 3f bezieht sich auf die gleiche Anordnung wie Figur 3e, jedoch mit dem Unterschied, daß die Kuppel in zwei Bereiche unterschiedlicher Wandstärke Wl und W2 geglie¬ dert ist, in der die optische Dicke des Leuchtstoffs un¬ terschiedlich ist. Bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel bleibt die Effizienz und der maximale Abstrahlwinkel in etwa gleich, verglichen mit Ausführungsbeispiel gemäß Figur
3e .
Bei der hier vorgestellten Erfindung wird der primären Lichtquelle (z.B. einer LED) eine Kuppel aus streuendem Material vorgeschaltet, welches das gerichtete Licht der Quelle, siehe Figur 4, nahezu isotrop in alle Richtungen streut .
Figur 5a zeigt ein LED-Modul 30 mit fast kugelförmiger Kuppel 31 mit darin integriertem Diffusor. Der Kugelabschnitt der Kuppel 31 umfasst dabei bevorzugt eine Ober¬ fläche von mindestens 80%, bevorzugt mindestens 90 ~6 einer vollständigen Kugeloberfläche. Figur 5b zeigt die geomet¬ rische Zuordnung. Der Radius der Kugel ist B, die Dicke der Kuppel ist D.
Um eine hohe Effizienz zu erreichen, sollte die Fläche, auf der sich die Lichtquelle befindet, im Verhältnis zur Oberfläche der Kuppel möglichst klein sein, damit nur we¬ nig vom zurückgestreuten Licht absorbiert werden kann. Die Fläche E der primären Lichtquelle lässt sich dabei ins Verhältnis zur wirksamen Oberfläche OFL der Kuppel 31, insbesondere einem Kugelausschnitt etc., setzen und sollte dabei möglichst klein sein, insbesondere sollte sie durch E/OFL < 10% oder in absoluten Werten E/OFL < 0,1 charakterisiert sein.
Im vorgestellten Ausführungsbeispiel wurde eine Kugel¬ schale mit Radius B = 6 mm und Wanddicke D = 0,5 mm und als Lichtquelle eine 150° abstrahlende LED wie beispiels¬ weise die Oslon der Firma OSRAM verwendet. Das Trägerma¬ terial ist PC, das Diffusormaterial ist A1203 mit einem Anteil von 4 Gewichts-%.
In einem anderen Ausführungsbeispiel ist die Kugelschale gestaucht - sie ist dann beispielsweise modifiziert zu einer Oblate 32 mit Breite b größer als Länge a, Figur 6a - oder gestreckt - die Kugelschale ist dann beispielswei¬ se modifiziert zu einem Ellipsoid 33 mit Länge a größer als Breite b, Figur 7a. Die jeweilige Lichtverteilungs- kurve ist in der zugehörigen Figur 6b und 7b gezeigt, für
verschiedene a und b. in beiden Fällen ist die Kugelform nicht besonders gut geeignet. Bessere Gleichverteilung wird bei a:b = 1,3 bis 1,7 bzw. b:a = 1,3 bis 1,7 er¬ zielt. Darüber hinaus wurde auch der relative Anteil an Diffusor variiert, siehe Figur 8. Dabei muss ein Kompromiss zwi¬ schen einerseits einer möglichst gleichverteilten Lichtverteilungskurve und andererseits einer möglichst hohen optischen Effizienz gefunden werden. Figur 8a zeigt den technischen Aufbau des LED-Moduls 30 mit kugelförmiger Kuppe 31, der einen Anteil an Diffusormaterial enthält. Allgemein wird die Lichtverteilungskurve am gleichmäßigs¬ ten bei Verwendung eines Diffusoranteils von 2 bis 10 Gew . -% . Wie Figur 8b zeigt sollte die Obergrenze bei einer kugel¬ förmigen Kuppe bevorzugt deutlich unterhalb 10% Anteil des Diffusors liegen.
Andererseits nimmt die optische Effizienz, siehe dazu Fi¬ gur 8c, merklich ab, wenn zuviel Diffusormaterial beige- mischt wird. Ein empfohlener Bereich ist ein Anteil von 3 bis 8%, insbesondere 3 bis 5 Gew.-%.
Ein zusätzliches Regulativ für eine verbesserte Gleichmä¬ ßigkeit der Streuung kann dadurch erreicht werden, dass die Wanddicke der Kuppel verändert wird, was quasi einer Konzentrationsänderung des Diffusors entspricht. Auch ei¬ ne direkte Konzentrationsänderung des Diffusors in Teilen der Kuppel ist möglich.
Die vorgestellten Formen der Kuppel sind alle geeignet für eine Abstrahlung auch nach hinten. Darüber hinaus
kann die genaue Abstrahlcharakteristik durch die Form der Kuppel eingestellt werden.
Es wird eine nahezu omnidirektionale Abstrahlung bei ho¬ hen optischen Effizienzen bis über 90% erreicht. Figur 9 zeigt eine LED-Lampe 36 mit Schraubsockel und ei¬ ner mit Streumaterial versehenen Kuppel 17.
Figur 10 zeigt ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel einer LED-Lichtquelle 50, bei der kein Podest verwendet ist. An der Grundplatte sind rückwärtig Kühlkörper als Lamellen 27 angebracht (siehe auch WO 2010/089397) . Um die LED- Lichtquelle ist außerdem außen eine milchige Kuppel 28 als Diffusor gelegt.
Figur 11 zeigt ein ähnliches Ausführungsbeispiel einer LED-Lichtquelle 41, bei der ein LED-Modul mit blauen LEDs auf einem Podest 5 und einer Grundplatte 6 angeordnet ist und mit einer innen liegenden Diffusorkuppel 40 ausges¬ tattet ist, wobei eine außen liegende Kuppel 48 innen mit Leuchtstoff für eine Teilkonversion beschichtet ist. Da¬ durch wird eine besonders gleichmäßige Lichtabstrahlung auch für ein remote-phosphor-Konzept ermöglicht.
Generell können als Chip, bzw. ggf. als LED oder LED- Array, für die LED-Lichtquelle insbesondere folgende Konstellationen verwendet werden:
Blau emittierende Chips als primäre Lichtquelle, wobei eine teilweise Konversion mittels einer Leuchtstoff¬ schicht an der Kuppel stattfindet, bei der zumindest ein gelb emittierender oder zumindest ein grün und rot emit¬ tierender Leuchtstoff verwendet wird, wobei zumindest ei-
ner der Leuchtstoffe an der Kuppel lokalisiert ist; damit wird eine weiß emittierende Lichtquelle geschaffen,
UV-LEDs als primäre Lichtquelle, wobei zumindest eine teilweise, bevorzugt vollständige Konversion mittels ei- ner LeuchtstoffSchicht an der Kuppel stattfindet, bei der zumindest ein gelb und ein blau emittierender oder zumindest ein grün und ein rot und ein blau emittierender Leuchtstoff verwendet wird, wobei zumindest einer der Leuchtstoffe an der Kuppel lokalisiert ist; damit wird eine weiß emittierende Lichtquelle geschaffen,
LED-Arrays als primäre Lichtquelle, bei denen verschie¬ denartige Chips genutzt werden, die zumindest teilweise Leuchtstoffe im Bereich der Kuppel zur Konversion nutzen;
LED-Arrays als primäre Lichtquelle, bei denen eine erste Gruppe von Chips und eine zweite Gruppe von Chips verwen¬ det wird, wobei zumindest eine Gruppe einen Leuchtstoff im Bereich der Kuppel zur Konversion nutzt; beispielswei¬ se ein blau emittierender Chip, dessen Licht teilweise von einem Leuchtstoff, der an der Kuppel lokalisiert ist, in grünes Licht konvertiert wird, so dass dieses System zusammen grünlich-weißes oder mintfarbenes Licht erzeugt, zusammen mit einem rot emittierenden, insbesondere amber- farben emittierenden Chip, dessen Licht nicht von der Kuppel konvertiert wird.
Farbige LEDs aller Art als primäre Lichtquelle, bei denen beispielsweise Vollkonversion genutzt wird, beispielswei¬ se eine blaue LED, deren Licht vollständig mittels eines Sion- oder Sialon-Leuchtstoffs in grün umgewandelt wird;
Mood-Beleuchtung, bei der unterschiedliche Arten von weiß durch geeignete Abstimmung verschiedener Chips und
Leuchtstoffe erzeugt wird, beispielsweise warmweiß über neutralweiß hin zu tageslichtähnlichem weiß.
Die jeweils verwendeten Leuchtstoffe können teilweise oder vollständig an der Kuppel lokalisiert sein, also dort als Schicht aufgetragen oder in der Wand der Kuppel eingebracht sein.
Konkrete Ausführungsbeispiele der vorliegenden Erfindung sind :
-Eine LED-Lampe mit Lichtfarbe warmweiß, bei der als LED- Array warmweiß emittierende LEDs, insbesondere mit Peake- mission im Bereich 430 bis 460 nm, verwendet werden. Die Kuppel beinhaltet nur Diffusormaterial .
-Eine LED-Lampe, bei der warmweiß durch eine erste Gruppe von blauen LEDs und einer zweiten Gruppe von roten LEDs realisiert ist, wobei in der Kuppel Diffusormaterial ent¬ halten ist und außerdem zur Erzeugung von grüner Emission ein Granat A3B5012:Ce, insbesondere als Komponente A Ytt¬ rium enthaltender und/oder Lutetium enthaltender Granat eingebracht ist, der für die Komponente B Anteile an Alu- minium und Gallium gleichzeitig enthält.
Eine LED-Lampe, bei der neutralweiß oder kaltweiß durch ein Array von UV-LEDs realisiert ist, wobei an der Kuppel neben Diffusormaterial eine Schicht Leuchtstoff aufgetra¬ gen ist, in der ein blau und ein gelb emittierender Leuchtstoff wie BAM und YAG:Ce gemischt sind.
Claims
Ansprüche
LED-Lichtquelle mit einer primären Lichtquelle, insbe¬ sondere mindestens einem weiß oder blau oder UV emit¬ tierenden Halbleiter-Chip, wobei der Lichtquelle in Emissionsrichtung eine Kuppel aus transparentem oder transluzentem Material vorgelagert ist, dadurch ge¬ kennzeichnet, dass die Kuppel mit einem Diffusormate- rial ausgestattet ist, das dem Material der Kuppel beigemischt ist.
2. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeich- net, dass das Diffusormaterial Aluminiumoxid, Titandi¬ oxid oder Siliziumdioxid, allein oder in Mischung, ist .
3. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die primäre Lichtquelle auf einer ebenen Platte montiert ist, wobei das Verhältnis zwischen der
Oberfläche der Kuppel und der ebenen Fläche der Licht¬ quelle möglichst groß ist und insbesondere im Bereich 5:1 bis 15:1 liegt .
4. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeich- net, dass das Material der Kuppel Kunststoff, Glas,
Silikon, Plexiglas oder Polycarbonat ist.
5. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der relative Anteil des Diffusormaterials im Material der Kuppel im Bereich von 2 bis 10 Gew.-% liegt.
6. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Strahlung der primären Lichtquelle durch ein vorgeschaltetes Konversionselement, das insbeson¬ dere als weitere Kuppel ausgebildet ist, teilweise oder vollständig in längerwellige Strahlung konver¬ tiert wird.
7. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Kuppel ein Abschnitt eines Oblatenkör¬ pers ist, der einen Äquator und einen Pol aufweist, wobei der Pol in Richtung der optischen Achse weist.
8. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Oblatenkörper ein Abschnitt eines El- lipsoids ist, insbesondere mit einer kleinen Halbachse a in Richtung zum Pol zeigend.
9. LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Oblatenkörper einen Raumwinkel größer 2n aufspannt, insbesondere 2,5 n bis 3,5 n.
10. Baueinheit mit einer LED-Lichtquelle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Baueinheit eine Leuchte oder ein LED-Modul ist.
