L'invention porte sur un élément (1), en particulier pour l'application et/ou la séparation, lequel élément comprend un support (2) et une pluralité d'éléments (3) faisant saillie à partir d'une surface (4) de ce support, chaque élément s'étendant le long d'un axe d'étendue principal (X) et étant relié à l'aide de sa base (6) au support, et ayant une extrémité libre (7) opposée à cette base, les éléments étant produits d'un seul tenant avec le support, au moins certains des éléments étant disposés sur le support de sorte que la densité des extrémités libres soit supérieure à 3 extrémités libres par mm², et de préférence, supérieure à 4.
