Abstract

Die Erfindung stellt ein Vorschaltgerät für mindestens eine Gasentladungslampe, mit einem Lastkreis, an den die Gasentladungslampe anzuschließen ist, einem mittels eines Schalters gesteuerten, vorzugsweise getakteten Heizkreis für wenigstens eine Wendel der Gasentladungslampe, und einer Steuerschaltung, wobei die Steuerschaltung direkt oder indirekt eine Temperatur mindestens einer Wendel anhand eines vorzugsweise elektrischen Temperatur- Parameters wie bspw. einer Spannung und/oder eines Stroms an der mindestens einen Wendel erfasst, und die Steuerschaltung den ermittelten Temperatur-Parameter als Istwert für eine Regelung einer Heizleistung verwendet, um abhängig von dem Temperatur-Parameter die der Wendel zugeführte elektrische Heizleistung durch Ansteuerung, vorzugsweise Taktung des Schalters des Heizkreises zu regeln. Weiter stellt die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum regeln einer Wendelspannung einer Gasentladungslampe sowie eine Schaltung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens bereit.
