Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Abdeckung zur Versiegelung eines Photovoltaikmoduls auf seiner der Lichteinfallsseite abgewandten Seite, wobei die Abdeckung (4) eine Folie (7) umfasst, die mit einer Fotoelemente (2) enthaltenden Lage (1) des Photovoltaikelements verbunden ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist die Folie (7) aus Elastomermaterial hergestellt. Vorzugsweise handelt es sich um eine homogen aus einem solchem Material, insbesondere EPDM, hergestellte Folie.

„Rückseitenabdeckung eines Photovoltaikmoduls"
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Abdeckung zur Versiegelung eines Photovoltaikmoduls auf seiner der Lichteinfallsseite abgewandten Seite, wobei die Abdeckung eine Folie umfasst, die mit einer Fotoelemente enthaltenden Lage des Photovoltaikmoduls verbunden ist.
Langfristig im Freien betriebene Photovoitaikmodule sind vielfältigen Beanspruchungen ausgesetzt. Neben Witterungseinflüssen und UV-Einstrahlung müssen sie auch chemischen Einwirkungen infolge Luftverschmutzung widerstehen. Witterungseinflüsse können neben Belastungen durch Feuchtigkeit auch hohe mechanische Beanspruchungen durch Wind oder Hagel mit sich bringen.
Die die Fotoelemente einschließenden Teile des Photovoltaikmoduls müssen also eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Anforderungen erfüllen, d.h. sie müssen ausreichend resistent gegen UV-Licht und chemische Einflüsse sein, eine genügende mechanische Festigkeit aufweisen, eine Feuchtigkeitsbarriere, insbesondere Dampfsperre, bilden und schließlich ausreichend elektrisch isolieren.
Um diese Vielzahl von Anforderungen zu erfüllen, weisen herkömmliche Abdeckungen zur Versiegelung von Photovoltaikmodulen Folien mit kompliziertem, mehrschichtigen Aufbau auf.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die Herstellung von Photovoltaikmodulen weiter zu vereinfachen.
Diese Aufgabe wird durch eine Abdeckung zur rückseitigen Versiegelung der eingangs erwähnten Art gelöst, die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Folie aus Elastomermaterial besteht.
Überraschend hat es sich gezeigt, dass es nur einer einzigen als Abdeckung wirksamen Schicht aus Elastomermaterial bedarf, um die oben erwähnte Vielzahl von Anforderungen zu erfüllen. Entsprechend vereinfacht sich der Aufbau des Photo- voltaikmoduls.
In einer besonders bevorzugten Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist die Folie homogen aus einem einzigen Elastomermaterial hergestellt. Das Elastomermaterial kann auch ein thermoplastisches Elastomer umfassen.
Bei dem Elastomermaterial handelt es sich vorzugsweise um EPDM.
Zweckmäßig ist die Folie mit einer Schicht zur Verbindung, insbesondere Schweißverbindung, mit der die Fotoelemente enthaltenden Kemlage vorgefertigt.
Diese Verbindungsschicht ist durchgehend auf der gesamten Folie aufgebracht und mit der Folie verbunden. Vorzugsweise handelt es sich bei der Verbindungsschicht um eine Polyethylenschicht, welche eine zusätzliche Dampfsperre bildet.
In einer besonders bevorzugten Ausführungsform der Erfindung haftet die Verbindungsschicht durch Vulkanisation der Folie im Kontakt mit der Verbindungsschicht an der Folie an. Das heißt, die Verbindungsschicht wird selbst in Folienform auf die noch nicht vulkanisierte Folie aufgebracht. Bei der Vulkanisierung der Folie kommt es zu einer festen Verbindung.
In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ist die elektrische Leitfähigkeit der Folie durch Ersatz von Rußanteilen der Elastomermaterialmischung durch anorganische nichtleitende Füllstoffe vermindert.
Die Dicke der Folie liegt zweckmäßig zwischen 0,6 und 1 ,3 mm. Die Dicke der Verbindungsschicht beträgt vorzugsweise 100 pm bis 300 pm.
Die Erfindung wird nachfolgend anhand von Ausführungsbeispielen und der beiliegenden, sich auf eines dieser Ausführungsbeispiele beziehenden Zeichnungen weiter erläutert. Es zeigen:
Fig. 1 einen Photovoltaikmodul mit einer erfindungsgemäßen Abdeckung in einer
Schnittansicht,
Fig. 2 eine Teildarstellung des Photovoltaikmoduls in einer Draufsicht auf die Rückseite, und
Fig. 3 eine Teilansicht der in dem Photovoltaikmodul von Fig. 1 verwendeten Abdeckung im Querschnitt.
Ein aus mehreren Lagen aufgebauter Photovoltaikmodul umfasst eine Kernlage 1 , in die miteinander teils in Reihe teils parallel verschaltete, einfallendes Licht in Elektroenergie umwandelnde Fotoelemente 2 zwischen Verkapselungsfolien 9 und 10 eingebettet sind. Auf der Lichteinfallsseite ist die Kernlage 1 durch eine Lage 3 aus lichtdurchlässigem Material, z.B. Glas, abgedeckt. Auf der der Lage 3 abgewandten Seite weist der Photovoltaikmodul eine die Kernlage 1 rückseitig versiegelnde
Abdeckung 4 auf, durch die hindurch Anschlussleitungen 5 verlaufen.
Zur randseitigen Versiegelung des Photovoltaikmoduls dienf eine rahmenartig umlaufende Randeinfassung 6. Die Randseitenlängen des tafelförmigen Photovoltaikmoduls liegen in dem gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel bei 0,6 m x 1 ,2 m.
Die in Fig. 3 ausschnittsweise gesondert dargestellte Abdeckung 4 umfasst eine Folie 7 aus einem Elastomermaterial. In dem gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel handelt es sich um EPDM.
Die Abdeckung 4 ist mit einer Verbindungsschicht 8 vorgefertigt, die an der Folie 7 über deren gesamte, der Kernlage 1 zugewandte Fläche anhaftet und vorzugsweise aus dampfundurchlässigem Polyethylen besteht. Die Anhaftung der Verbindungsschicht 8 an der Folie 7 beruht darauf, dass die Verbindungsschicht 8 in Form einer Folie an die noch unvulkanisierte Folie 7 angelegt und die Folie 7 im Kontakt mit der die Verbindungsschicht 8 bildenden Folie vulkanisiert wurde.
Über die Verbindungsschicht 8 ist die Abdeckung 4 vollflächig mit der Kernlage 1 verschweißt. Zur Schweißverbindung dient auf Seiten der Kernlage 1 die die Kernlage 1 rückseitig abschließende Verkapselungsfolie 9.
Die Kernlage 1 kann mit der lichtdurchlässigen Lage 3 verklebt sein.
Der vorangehend beschriebene Photovoltaikmodul erfüllt mit seiner rückwärtigen, aus einem Elastomermaterial hergestellten Abdeckung 4 alle mit einem dauerhaften Betrieb des Moduls im Freien verbundenen Anforderungen.
Claims
1 . Abdeckung (4) zur Versiegelung eines Photovoltaikmoduls auf seiner der Licht- einfalfseite abgewandten Seite, wobei die Abdeckung (4) eine Folie (7) um- fasst, die mit einer Fotoelemente (2) enthaltenden Lage (1 ) des Photovoltaikmoduls verbunden ist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Folie (7) aus Elastomermaterial hergestellt ist.
2. Abdeckung nach Anspruch 1 ,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Folie (7) homogen aus einem Elastomermaterial hergestellt ist.
3. Abdeckung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Folie (7) aus EPDM hergestellt ist.
4. Abdeckung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Folie (7) mit einer Schicht (8) zur Verbindung, insbesondere Schweißverbindung, mit der die Fotoelemente (2) enthaltenden Kernlage (1 ) vorgefertigt ist.
5. Abdeckung nach Anspruch 4,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Verbindungsschicht (8) über die gesamte Folie durchgehend an der Folie (7) anhaftet.
6. Abdeckung nach Anspruch 4 oder 5,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Verbindungsschicht (8) eine Polyethylenschicht ist.
7. Abdeckung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 6,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Verbindungsschicht (8) durch Vulkanisation der Folie (7) im Kontakt mit der Verbindungsschicht (8) an der Folie (7) anhaftet.
8. Abdeckung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7,
dadurch gekennzeichnet
dass die elektrische Leitfähigkeit der Folie (7) durch Ersatz von Rußanteilen der Elastomermischung durch nicht leitende anorganische Füllstoffe vermindert ist.
9. Abdeckung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Dicke der Folie zwischen 0,6 und 1 ,3 mm beträgt.
10. Abdeckung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 9,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass die Dicke der Verbindungsschicht zwischen 100 pm und 300 μητι liegt.
