Abstract

A method for producing a stack (12) of metal sheets (11) includes the step of positioning a stacking table (6) relatively vertically in relation to horizontally adjustable stop elements (7) which are arranged above the stacking table (6). In a further step, the horizontally adjustable stop elements (7) are positioned horizontally such that a plurality of horizontal setpoint positions (10) for a plurality of metal sheets (11) to be deposited are each entirely determined exclusively by the stop elements (7) and such that the metal sheets (11) are guided - preferably exclusively - laterally when deposited from the stop elements (7). This is followed by sequential or simultaneous deposition of the metal sheets (11) in the setpoint positions (10) and finally by the repetition of the abovementioned steps with further metal sheets (11) until the desired stack (12) has been produced.
