주방 싱크대에서 작업을 하는데 있어서 주방 천정에 설치된 조명등만으로는 주방 싱크대를 충분히 조명할 수 없기 때문에 최근에는 사용상의 편의를 위해 주방 싱크대 전용의 조명 기구(이하 ‘싱크대용 보조 조명등’이라 한다)가 별도로 설치되는 추세이다.
이러한 싱크대용 보조 조명등으로 종래에는 주로 형광등이 사용되었는데, 수명이 상대적으로 짧을 뿐만 아니라 밝기 조절이 힘든 편이며 깜박임이 심하여 사용자가 눈의 피로를 쉽게 느낀다는 단점이 있다. 또한 형광등에 사용되는 수은으로 인해 환경오염이 유발되게 된다.
이런 형광등의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 종래 기술로서 LED 조명등이 제안되고 있다. LED 조명등은 형광등에 비해서 비싸다는 단점이 있으나 전술한 형광등과 달리 수은이 사용되지 않고, 깜박임이 없으며, 형광등보다 수명이 길고 고효율이기 때문에 에너지 측면에서도 장점을 가지고 있다.
한편, 종래의 싱크대용 보조 조명등은 사용자가 싱크대의 상단 수납장 하단에 설치된 전원 스위치를 수동으로 조작하여 점등 또는 소등시켜야 하는 번거로움이 있었다. 이러한 문제를 해소하기 위해 근접 센서를 채택하여 사람이 접근하는 경우에 자동으로 점등되고 멀어지는 경우에 자동으로 소등되는 싱크대용 보조 조명등이 제안되어 있으나, 이 경우에 주방 일을 하려는 사람과 주방 싱크대 주위를 단순히 지나가려는 사람의 구분 없이 점등될 뿐만 아니라 빛이 충분히 밝은 경우에도 점등되어 불필요한 전력이 소모되는 문제점이 있다.

도 1은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치의 설치 상태 사시도이다.
일반적으로 주방 싱크대 작업을 하기 위한 주방 가구는 상부 수납장(10)과 하부 수납장(30), 그리고 요리 또는 설거지와 같은 가사를 하기 위해 하부 수납장(30) 위에 설치된 싱크대(40)로 구성되어 있다. 도 1에는 본 발명의 설명을 위해 전술한 주방 가구의 구성 요소만을 도시하고 그 외는 생략하고 있다.
도 1에 도시된 바와 같이 전장 박스(100)는 주방 싱크대 직상부에 배치되어 있는 상부 수납장(10) 하면에 설치될 수 있다. 이때, 전장 박스(100)를 상부 수납장(10) 하면에 돌출되게 설치하거나 또는, 외관을 고려하여 상부 수납장(10)에 설치홈을 형성한 뒤, 전술한 설치홈에 전장 박스(100)를 수납할 수 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치의 전장 박스(100) 정면도를 나타낸다.
도 2에 도시된 바와 같이 전장박스(100)는 주방 싱크대 부근의 부족한 조명을 보조하기 위한 싱크대용 보조 조명등(200), 인체의 존재 여부를 감지하는 인체 감지부(240), 주방 싱크대 부근의 밝기를 감지하는 조도 감지부(260), 음악이 발생되는 스피커(300), 싱크대용 보조 조명등(200)과 스피커(300)를 제어하는 제어부(미도시) 및 전술한 구성들을 지지 또는 고정하고 있는 하우징을 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다.
전술한 구성에서, 싱크대용 보조 조명등(200)은 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이 주방 싱크대(40)를 조명하기 위해 전장 박스(100)와 일체로 설치되거나 상부 수납장(10) 하면에 전장 박스(100)에서 분리된 채로 설치될 수 있다.
한편, 인체 감지부(240)는 주방 안에서 싱크대 부근에 있는 사람만을 감지하기 위해서 바람직하게는 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이 전장 박스(100)에 설치되나, 이와는 달리 상부 수납장(10) 하면이나 하부 수납장(30) 상단에 전장 박스(100)에서 분리된 채로 설치될 수도 있다.
한편, 조도 감지부(260)는 주방 싱크대 부근의 밝기를 감지하기 위해 바람직하게는 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이 전장 박스(100)에 설치되나, 이와는 달리 상부 수납장(10) 하면에 설치되어 전장 박스(100)에서 분리된 채로 설치될 수도 있다. 스피커(300)도 역시 전장 박스(100)에 설치되는 것이 바람직하나, 이와는 달리 상부 수납장(10) 하면에 전장 박스(100)에서 분리된 채로 설치될 수도 있다.
도 3은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치의 개략적인 기능 블록도이다. 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치의 전기적인 구성은 크게 후술하는 장치의 각 부에 동작 전력을 공급하는 전원부(120), 싱크대 주위의 인체 존재 여부를 감지하는 인체 감지부(240), 싱크대 주위의 밝기를 감지하는 조도 감지부(260), 싱크대용 보조 조명등(200)과 이를 구동하는 조명등 구동부(220) 및 인체 감지부(240)와 조도 감지부(260)로부터 입력된 감지 신호에 의거하여 조명등 구동부(220)를 제어하는 제어부(140)를 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다.
전술한 구성에서, 전원부(120)는 상용교류전원을 감압, 정류 및 평활하여 직류 전원으로 변환한 후에 장치의 각 부에 공급한다.
싱크대용 보조 조명등(200)은 조명등 구동부(220)의 온/오프에 따라서 점등 또는 소등되는데, LED 조명등으로 구현하는 것이 바람직하다. 조명등 구동부(220)로는 예를 들어, 트랜지스터와 같은 전자식 스위치 또는 물리적인 접점을 갖는 릴레이 스위치 및 그 주변 회로 소자를 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다.
다음으로, 인체 감지부(240)는 적외선 센서 또는 열 센서 또는 초음파 센서 및 그 주변 회로 소자를 포함하여 이루어질 수 있는데, 센싱 정확성을 향상시키기 위해 위에 열거한 각 센서들을 조합한 복합 센서로 구현할 수도 있다.
조도 감지부(260)는 CdS(황화 카드뮴) 센서나 포토트랜지스터 등으로 구현할 수 있다.
한편, 인체 감지부(240)는 인체가 싱크대 주위에 존재하는 경우에 인체 감지 신호를 제어부(140)에 출력하는데, 이 경우에 제어부(140)가 인체 감지 신호가 입력되는 즉시 싱크대용 보조 조명등(200)이 점등되도록 제어하면 불필요하게 전력이 낭비될 뿐만 아니라 오히려 오작동으로 인하여 불쾌감을 줄 수도 있다. 이를 감안하여 제어부(140)는 인체 감지부(240)로부터 인체 감지 신호가 소정의 기준 시간(이 시간은 평소 싱크대 주위를 지나가는데 소요되는 시간을 측정하여 최적으로 정해질 수 있을 것이다), 예를 들어 5초 이상 지속적으로 입력되는 경우에 현재 싱크대 주위의 사람이 주방 일을 하고자 하는 것으로 판단하여 비로소 싱크대용 보조 조명등(200)이 점등되도록 조명등 구동부(220)에 제어 신호를 출력한다.
더욱이, 현재 싱크대 주위가 밝음에도 불구하고 인체 감지부(240)로부터 인체가 감지되었다고 무조건 싱크대용 보조 조명등(200)을 점등시키는 경우에는 불필요한 전력이 낭비되기 때문에 이를 방지하기 위해 비록 인체 감지부(240)로부터 인체 감지 신호가 상기한 기준 시간 이상 지속적으로 입력되더라도 조도 감지부(260)에 의해 감지된 조도가 소정의 기준 조도 이하인 경우에 한하여 싱크대용 보조 조명등(200)이 점등되도록 조명등 구동부(220)에 제어 신호를 출력한다.
전술한 기능을 수행하는 제어부(140)는 하드웨어 타이머와 비교기 회로를 포함한 하드웨어적인 구성으로 이루어지거나 또는 이들을 소프트웨어적으로 구현한 마이컴으로 구현될 수 있다.
본 발명의 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치는 또한 수도꼭지(50)의 개폐 여부를 감지하는 수도꼭지 개폐 감지부(340)와 주방 일을 하는데 지루함을 덜어주기 위한 음향(음악)을 출력하는 음향 발생부(320)를 더 구비할 수도 있는데, 이 경우에 제어부(140)는 수도꼭지 개폐 감지부(340)로부터 수도꼭지 개방 신호가 입력된 경우에 음향 발생부(320)를 제어하여 음악이 출력되도록 할 수 있다. 이에 따라 주방 일을 즐겁게 할 수 있도록 할 뿐만 아니라 수도꼭지를 개방한 채로 주방을 벗어나는 것을 방지함으로써 수돗물이 불필요하게 낭비되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
여기에서, 수도꼭지 개폐 감지부(340)는 수도꼭지(50)에 구비된 레버나 차단 밸브에 설치되어, 레버나 차단 밸브가 회전하면 제어부(140)에 전기 신호를 보내는 스위치 회로나 센서로 구성될 수 있다. 또 다른 실시예로 수도꼭지 개폐 감지부(340)는 싱크대(40)의 배수구와 같은 곳에 설치되어 수압을 감지하는 센서 또는 수위를 감지하는 센서 등으로 구현될 수도 있다.
음향 발생부(320)는 다수의 음악이 내장된 음원용 메모리, 음원용 메모리에 저장된 음악 데이터를 아날로그 신호로 변환한 후에 전력 증폭하는 증폭기와 전력 증폭된 전기 신호를 음파로 변환하여 출력하는 스피커를 포함하여 이루어질 수도 있다, 이와는 달리 CD플레이어 또는 MP3 플레이어와 같은 오디오 기기로 구현한 상태에서 제어부(140)가 단지 이들 기기에 온/오프 신호만 전달하는 구성으로 구현할 수도 있을 것이다.
본 발명의 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치는 전술한 실시예에 국한되지 않고 본 발명의 기술 사상이 허용하는 범위 내에서 다양하게 변형하여 실시할 수가 있다.

Claims (4)

  1. 주방 상부 수납장 하단에 설치되는 싱크대용 보조 조명등;
    주방 싱크대 부근에 설치되어 인체의 존재 여부를 감지하는 인체 감지부;
    상기 싱크대용 보조 조명등을 온 또는 오프 시키는 조명등 구동부 및
    상기 인체 감지부로부터의 인체 감지 신호가 일정 시간 이상 입력되면 상기 싱크대 보조 조명등을 점등하고 상기 인체 감지 신호가 입력되지 않는 경우에는 즉시 상기 싱크대용 보조 조명등을 소등하도록 상기 조명등 구동부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하여 이루어지는 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 싱크대용 보조 조명등은 LED 조명등으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치.
  3. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 싱크대 부근에 설치되어 주위의 조도를 감지하는 조도 감지부를 더 구비하고,
    상기 제어부는 상기 조도 감지부로부터의 조도 감지 신호에 의거하여 싱크대 부근의 조도가 기준 조도보다 높을 때에는 비록 상기 인체 감지 신호가 입력되더라도 상기 조명등 구동부를 제어하여 상기 싱크대용 보조 조명등을 오프시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치.
  4. 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항에 있어서,
    상기 싱크대 부근의 수도꼭지에 설치되어 수도꼭지의 개폐를 감지하는 수도꼭지 개폐 감지부를 더 구비하고,
    상기 제어부는 상기 수도꼭지 개폐 감지부로부터의 수도꼭지 개폐 감지 신호에 의거하여 수도꼭지가 개방된 경우에 음향 발생부를 제어하여 음향이 출력되도록 한 것을 특징으로 하는 주방 싱크대 작업용 전자 장치.
