Abstract

La présente invention a trait à des cellules solaires à colorant à rendement élevé et à leur procédé de fabrication, lesquelles cellules solaires à colorant incluent une photoélectrode (cathode), une contre-électrode (anode) et un électrolyte situé entre les électrodes. Les cellules solaires à colorant à rendement élevé selon la présente invention comprennent une photoélectrode qui inclut une couche mince d'oxyde semi-conductrice sur laquelle un colorant et une substance fluorescente sont absorbés de façon séquentielle au moyen de liaisons chimiques, ou qui inclut une couche mince d'oxyde semi-conductrice dans laquelle un colorant est absorbé et un électrolyte dans lequel la substance fluorescente est dissoute et l'invention permet d'améliorer le rendement énergétique de conversion en induisant un transfert d'énergie de fluorescence par résonance entre le colorant et la substance fluorescente et en transférant l'énergie de la substance fluorescente dans un état excité vers le colorant.
