Abstract
The present invention relates to an apparatus for reducing fuel consumption by a vehicle, which is capable of contributing to reduced fuel consumption by enabling a vehicle to coast in a fuel cutoff state, in which engine torque being transferred to the drive wheels is shut off when the RPM of the drive wheels is high relative to the output of the engine while the vehicle is travelling.
