Abstract

본 발명의 실시예는 영상의 구조적 정보를 이용한 적응적 움직임 벡터 부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치와 그를 이용한 영상 부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예는, 현재블록의 주변블록의 구조정보를 바탕으로 예측움직임벡터를 결정하여 상기 현재블록의 움직임벡터와 상기 예측움직임벡터와의 차분값인 차분움직임벡터를 부호화하고, 주변블록의 구조정보를 바탕으로 예측움직임벡터를 결정하고 비트스트림으로부터 차분움직임벡터를 추출하고 상기 추출된 차분움직임벡터와 상기 예측움직임벡터를 가산하여 복원될 현재블록의 움직임벡터를 복원하여 복호화하는 움직임 벡터 부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치와 그를 이용한 영상 부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치를 제공한다.
