Abstract
The invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and is intended for the smooth engagement of driven shafts during torque conversion. The hydraulic inertial converter, the transmission thereof and the method for converting torque using same provide for the reciprocating movement of plates in radial slots in a rotor, thereby generating dynamically variable amounts of the volumes of working fluid being rotated. Thus, the variable volumes of working fluid give rise to the hydraulic inertial component of the transmitted torque, which can be summed with the mechanical inertial component of the torque. The summed amount of the converted torque is adjusted to the maximum value thereof transmitted to a secondary shaft of the transmission by varying the angle of displacement of a ring of the driven assembly from the central position and, accordingly, varying the reduction ratio of the transmission. The result is improved performance in the integrated working of the hydraulic inertial converter, the system for controlling same, the transmission and the method for converting torque using same.
