Abstract
Les procédés et appareils faisant l'objet de l'invention se rapportent à une valvule extensible qui peut être implantée dans le corps, par exemple à une position semi-lunaire du cœur. La valvule peut comprendre une structure de valvule extensible située autour d'un certain nombre de valves de valvule et peut être implantée chez de jeunes patients. Le diamètre de la structure de valvule extensible peut augmenter de manière appropriée afin de s'adapter à la croissance des patients, la valvule s'étirant en même temps que la structure de valvule. Selon certains modes de réalisation, une valvule extensible se trouve dans une endoprothèse vasculaire recouverte qui présente des manchons extensibles fixés aux extrémités opposées de l'endoprothèse vasculaire. Les manchons extensibles du dispositif peuvent être fixés chirurgicalement à des zones distinctes du tissu afin d'assurer une communication fluidique entre les zones du tissu. Selon un mode de réalisation, un manchon extensible fixé à une extrémité d'une endoprothèse vasculaire est suturé à une paroi extérieure d'un ventricule droit, et un manchon extensible fixé à l'extrémité opposée de l'endoprothèse vasculaire est suturé à une paroi extérieure de l'artère pulmonaire principale, ce qui crée un passage pour la circulation du fluide (c'est-à-dire du sang) entre le ventricule droit et l'artère pulmonaire principale, par l'intermédiaire de la valvule. Le dispositif implantable peut être extensible afin de s'adapter à la croissance des jeunes patients. Dans certains cas, la forme du dispositif peut être modifiée pour permettre le placement du conduit de valvule extensible à l'intérieur du corps.
