Abstract

In any kind of sport, practitioners are subject to accidents due to contact or even due to other trivial reasons, such as slips. In these situations, the service has to be fast to avoid the evolution of a more serious problem. In first aid, the speed of care is a preponderant requirement, because the line between life and death can be in a time span of a few seconds and minutes. In this sense, it is necessary to consider the distance that separates the paramedics from the place where the accident occurred, which follows a relationship inversely proportional to the time, that is, the greater the distance the predicted time for the emergency will be. This fact is aggravated in places of large areas such as soccer fields and arenas.

Initially, the handling of sports incidents was one hundred percent performed on hand stretchers operated by two stretcher workers who were running in a dismal career towards the place of occurrence. Apart from the time factor, this device model, due to its constructive and operational peculiarities, causes too many bumps and impacts on the athlete's removal from the field, and an eventual spinal injury could be aggravated.

Thus, as stated, the search for solutions that would solve and / or solve the problems above were now demanded by the sports.
