Abstract

 脂肪量測定装置(1)は、被測定者の胴部の所定位置を検出し、検出された位置を用いて、胴部の所定部位を検出するための部位検出部(12)と、部位検出部(12)によって検出された所定部位の体表面において、生体インピーダンスを測定するための胴部縦方向に沿った複数の位置を決定するための電極位置決定部(13)と、決定された複数の位置のそれぞれ毎に、インピーダンス測定電極を接触させて生体インピーダンスを測定するインピーダンス測定部(16)と、インピーダンス測定部(16)により測定された複数の位置それぞれの生体インピーダンスと、所定部位の胴部サイズとに基づき、所定部位の脂肪体積を算出するための腹部脂肪量算出部(18)と、を備える。

Description

脂肪量測定装置
 この発明は脂肪量測定装置に関し、特に、被測定者の腹部の脂肪量を測定する脂肪量測定装置に関する。
 生体の測定部位に装着された複数の電極間において測定されたインピーダンスを用いて、電極装着部位断面の体脂肪分布を算出する体脂肪測定装置が、たとえば、特許文献1(特開平11-113870号公報)と特許文献2(特開2005-288023号公報)に示される。

 内分泌・代謝系に係るリスクを正確に診断するためには、脂肪量、より特定的には腹部脂肪体積を測定することが望ましいとされている。しかしながら、特許文献1(特開平11-113870号公報)と特許文献2(特開2005-288023号公報)に示される体脂肪測定装置は、電極装着部位断面の体脂肪分布を算出するが、体積を算出するものではない。
 腹部脂肪体積を測定する従来の他の方法として、X線CT(Computed Tomography)によって得られる腹部断層画像を用いて測定する方法がある。この方法は、複数箇所の腹部断層画像を撮影して、複数枚の腹部断層画像それぞれから脂肪の画像面積を幾何学的に算出し、算出した面積を積算することにより脂肪量(体積)を測定するというものであったために測定に時間を要していた。
 また、MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging)によってもX線CTと同様の腹部断層画像を撮影することは可能であるが、同様の課題があった。さらには、X線CTまたはMRIなどを用いる場合には、大型の設備が必要であり非効率的であった。
 それゆえに、この発明の目的は、生体の所定部位の脂肪量を効率よく測定できる脂肪量測定装置を提供することである。
 本発明に係る脂肪量測定装置は、インピーダンス測定電極を、被測定者の体表面に接触させて測定した生体インピーダンスに基づき、生体の脂肪量を測定する装置である。
 この脂肪量測定装置は、被測定者の胴部の所定位置を検出するための位置検出部と、位置検出部によって検出された位置を用いて、胴部の所定部位を検出するための部位検出部と、部位検出部によって検出された所定部位の体表面において、生体インピーダンスを測定するための胴部縦方向に沿った複数の位置を決定するための電極位置決定部と、電極位置決定部により決定された複数の位置のそれぞれ毎に、インピーダンス測定電極を接触させて生体インピーダンスを測定するインピーダンス測定部と、インピーダンス測定部により測定された複数の位置それぞれの生体インピーダンスと、所定部位の胴部サイズとに基づき、所定部位の脂肪量を算出するための脂肪量算出部と、を備える。
 本発明によれば、所定部位の脂肪量を効率よく測定することができる。

 本発明の各実施の形態について図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。なお、各図中、同一または相当部分には同一符号を付し、その説明は繰返さない。
 本実施の形態では、「胴部」とは体幹部を指す。「腹部」とは、胴部のうちの胸部を除く部分であり、腹部脂肪量測定部位となる。本実施の形態では、腹部脂肪量測定部位は第十二肋骨と腸骨までの間を指す。また、「腹部より離れた部位」とは、上腕、前腕、手首および手指からなる上肢と、大腿、下腿、足首および足指からなる下肢とを含む。また、「体軸」とは、被測定者の腹部の横断面に対し略垂直な方向の軸である。また、「腹部前面」とは、被測定者の腹部のうち、被測定者を正面から観察した場合に視認可能な部分を含む。たとえば、被測定者の腹部のうち、被測定者のへそおよび背骨を通るとともに被測定者の体軸と垂直な軸に沿って、被測定者をへそ側から観察した場合に視認可能な部分を含む。また、「腹部背面」とは、被測定者の腹部のうち、被測定者を後ろから観察した場合に視認可能な部分を含む。たとえば、被測定者の腹部のうち、被測定者のへそおよび背骨を通るとともに被測定者の体軸と垂直な軸に沿って、被測定者を背骨側から観察した場合に視認可能な部分を含む。
 [実施の形態1]
 図1を参照して本発明の実施の形態1に係る脂肪量測定装置の外観について説明する。図1を参照して、本実施の形態に係る脂肪量測定装置1は、コンピュータ100と、コンピュータ100に通信接続された制御部101を有する。制御部101は、被測定者が仰臥位で寝るベッドに内蔵されている。ベッドの被測定者が仰臥位する表面サイズは、十分に大きなサイズであり、仰臥位の被測定者の体が表面からはみ出すことはないものと想定する。ベッドには、仰臥位の被測定者の背中と相対する位置に電極マット200が固定して配置されている。
 なお、図1では被測定者の衣服は、腹部背面側の布が無いデザインである。したがって、図1の仰臥位では腹部背面側の体表面には、電極マット200が接触し得る。
 電極マット200は略長方形であり、電極マット200の長辺が延びる方向は、ベッド上の被測定者の体軸が延びる方向(ベッドの長手方向)に一致し、短辺はベッド上の被測定者の体軸と略直交する方向)に従って延びている。短辺の長さはベッドの短手方向の長さに一致する。
 ベッドの長手方向側面には、ベッドの長手方向に沿って延びたスライドレール400が形成されている。スライドレール400の長さは、電極マット200の長辺の長さに一致している。
 スライドレール400には、レールに沿って自在に移動可能なように、スライダ401が嵌め込まれている。スライダ401には、スライドレール400と直交する方向に延びるスライドバー402の一方端が固定して接続されている。したがって、スライダ401がスライドレール400に沿ってスライド移動することにより、スライドバー402がスライドレール400に沿って、すなわち電極マット200の長辺に沿って自在に移動する。
 スライダ401のレールへの取付け部は、制御部101のステップモータ(図示せず)の回転軸と接続されている。したがって、スライダ401は、ステップモータの回転に連動して、ステップモータの回転方向と回転角度(以下、回転量と言う)に従った方向と距離だけスライド移動する。これにより、ステップモータの回転量に基づけば、スライドバー402のスライドレール400上における位置を検出することができる。
 (位置検出機能と所定部位検出機能)
 ベッド上で仰臥位の被測定者の胴部側面、または胴部前面の所定位置には粘着シート状のマーク201,201が貼付けられる。
 スライドバー402のスライダ401に接続された側とは反対側には、仰臥位の被測定者の方向にレーザ照射可能なようにレーザセンサ403が取付けられている。マーク201および202は、レーザセンサ403から照射されるレーザを反射する材料から構成されている。
 動作において、スライドバー402がスライドレール400に沿ってスライド移動しながら、レーザセンサ403はレーザ光を照射する。照射されたレーザ光は、スライドバー402が移動してマーク201,202に対応するスライドレール400上の位置に達したとき、マーク201,202で反射する。反射光はレーザセンサ403の受光部によって受光される。レーザセンサ403は、マーク201および202からの反射光を受光したとき受光信号を出力する。したがって、受光信号が検出されたときのスライドバー402のスライドレール400における位置は、マーク201,202の電極マット200の長辺上の位置に対応する。
 ここで、マーク201と202は、腹部脂肪量測定のための胴部の所定部位、より特定的には腹部部位を指す目安としての第十二肋骨と腸骨の辺りにそれぞれ貼り付けられる。したがって、レーザセンサ403から受光信号が出力されたときに検出されるマーク201,202の電極マット200の長辺上の対応する位置に基づき、胴部の所定部位(腹部)の電極マット200上の位置を検出することができる。ここでは、胴部の所定部位の電極マット200上の位置を検出することを、所定部位を検出するという。
 なお、マーク201および202は、粘着シートに代替してジェル、ベルトなどで胴部に取付けられてもよい。
 また、マーク201および202は両方貼付けされているとしているが、いずれか一方のみを貼付けしてもよい。つまり、被測定者の身長によって、第十二肋骨と腸骨の位置はおおよそ一意に特定できるから、その一方の位置をレーザセンサ403の受光信号に基づき検出し、検出した位置と、被測定者の身長とに基づき、他方の位置を検出するようにしてもよい。
 このように、レーザセンサ403を用いてマーク201,202が指す所定位置を検出することができる。また、所定位置の検出結果に基づき腹部脂肪量を測定すべき胴部の所定部位を検出することができる。
 (電極位置決定機能)
 所定部位の体表面において、インピーダンスを測定するための胴部縦方向(体軸が延びる方向)に沿った複数の位置を決定する。言い換えると、電極マット200において、腹部背面に接触し得るインピーダンス測定に用いるべき電極を決定する。
 図2を参照して、電極マット200について説明する。電極マット200は、図示されるように、複数個の電極対AP1(i)、AP2(i)、AP3(i)およびAP4(i)(但しi=1、2、…、k、…、N)が2次元マトリックス状に配列されている。配列は、電極マット200の長辺と平行に電極対の列AP1、AP2、AP3、およびAP4を含む。列AP1では、複数個の電極対AP1(i)が配列され、同様に、列AP2、AP3、およびAP4のそれぞれでも、複数個の電極対AP2(i)、AP3(i)およびAP4(i)を含む。
 ここでは、電極マット200の短辺に平行に並んだ、すなわち行方向に隣接して並んだ4つの電極対(図2の矩形破線で囲まれた4個の電極対)を電極組という。
 また、電極マット200では電極対は2次元配列されているので、電極マット200の短辺をY軸、長辺をX軸とすると各電極対の電極マット200上の位置は座標(x、y)で一意に特定できる。
 なお、説明を簡単にするために、被測定者の腹部を含む胴部の体軸と直交する方向の長さは、電極マット200の短辺の長さに一致すると想定する。
 次に、胴部の所定部位(腹部)の縦方向に沿って位置する複数の電極対の選択について説明する。検出された所定部位の縦幅、すなわち体軸方向の長さが、電極マット200の長辺の位置K~M(図2参照)の長さに対応すると想定する。この場合、電極マット200の複数の電極組のうち、位置K~Mに対応して位置する複数行の電極組が、インピーダンス測定用電極として決定される。
 インピーダンス測定時には、決定された複数の電極組のそれぞれが、順次に選択されて、選択される電極組毎に当該電極組を用いてインピーダンスが算出される。
 (脂肪量測定装置1の機能構成)
 図3には、脂肪量測定装置1の機能構成が示される。ベッドに内蔵される制御部101は、インピーダンス測定用電極に定電流を印加するための定電流生成部31、端子切替部32、インピーダンスを検出するために、定電流が印加された場合にインピーダンス測定用電極の電位差を検出する電位差検出部33、スライドバー402のスライド移動を制御するステップモータを含むスライダ制御部34、およびレーザセンサ403を制御するためのセンサ制御部35を含む。
 コンピュータ100側の制御部(CPU(Central Processing Unit)を含む)10は電極決定部11および演算処理部15を含む。
 さらに、体格情報計測部24、被測定者の体格情報および属性情報などの各種情報を受付けるための情報入力部25、表示部26、操作部27、電源部28、メモリ部29、およびインピーダンス測定用の複数の電極を備えている。
 電極決定部11は、前述した所定部位検出機能を有する部位検出部12および電極位置決定機能を有する電極位置決定部13を含む。演算処理部15は、インピーダンス測定部16および脂肪量算出部17を含む。インピーダンス測定部16は、所定演算式に従ってインピーダンスを算出するインピーダンス算出部161およびインピーダンス測定に用いるべき電極を選択する電極選択部162を含む。脂肪量算出部17は、腹部脂肪量算出部18を有する。
 部位検出部12は、センサ制御部35を介してレーザセンサ403の受光信号を入力すると、応じてスライダ制御部34のステップモータの回転量を検出し、検出した回転量に基づき、スライドバー402のスライドレール400上の位置を検出する。検出した位置に基づき、電極マット200上における仰臥位の被測定者の胴部の所定部位(腹部)を検出する。
 電極位置決定部13は、インピーダンス測定に用いるべき電極対を決定する。具体的には、メモリ部29には、電極マット200上の各電極対に対応して当該電極対の電極マット200上の位置を指す座標(x、y)を格納する座標テーブル291が記憶される。電極位置決定部13は、検出された所定部位の、電極マット200の長辺に対応する位置(X座標)に基づき、座標テーブル291を検索し、当該位置に対応する座標(x、y)を読出す。これにより、仰臥位の被測定者の所定部位の体表面に接触し得る複数の電極対、すなわち複数の電極組の座標(x、y)を検出することができる。検出された各電極対の座標(x、y)を電極識別情報として、電極選択部162に出力する。
 説明を簡単にするために、腹部背面に接触し得る複数の電極組の4個の電極対を、列AP1~AP4のそれぞれに対応した電極対AP(1),AP(2),AP(3)およびAP(4)と称する(図3参照)。図3では、インピーダンス測定用電極として、被測定者の腹部背面に接触する電極組(電極対AP(1)~AP(4))と、腹部より離れた部位である、たとえば被測定者の上肢および下肢に装着される上肢電極H11,H21と下肢電極F11,F21とが示されている。
 制御部10のCPUは、脂肪量測定装置1の全体的な制御を行なう。具体的には、制御部10は、上述した各種機能ブロックに対して指令を送出したり、得られた情報に基づいて各種の演算処理を行なったりする。演算処理部15は、この各種の演算を処理する。
 各電極組の電極対AP(1)~AP(4)は、それぞれ体軸方向に被測定者の腹部背面の体表面に装着される。上肢電極H11,H21は、好ましくは右手の手首の体表面と左手の手首の体表面とにそれぞれ装着される。下肢電極F11,F21は、好ましくは右足の足首の体表面と左足の足首の体表面とにそれぞれ装着される。電極マット200の電極対、上肢電極H11,H21、および下肢電極F11,F21は、端子切替部32と電気的に接続されている。図3では、説明を簡単にするために、電極マット200の電極対のうち、電極対AP(1)~AP(4)が、端子切替部32と電気的に接続された状態が示される。
 端子切替部32は、たとえばマルチプレクサ回路を含む。マルチプレクサ回路は複数の端子を有する。この複数の端子それぞれには、電極マット200の電極対のそれぞれ、ならびに上肢電極H11,H21、および下肢電極F11,F21が接続される。端子切替部32は、電極選択部162からの指令を解析し、解析結果に基づき、複数の端子のうちから当該指令によって指示される端子を選択する。そして、選択された端子に接続された電極と定電流生成部31とを電気的に接続するとともに、選択された端子に接続された電極対と電位差検出部33とを電気的に接続するように、マルチプレクサ回路を制御する。
 ここで、メモリ部29には、電極(または電極対)の電極識別情報と、当該電極(または電極対)を接続する端子の端子識別情報との対応関係を格納する対応関係テーブル292が記憶されている。なお、電極対の識別情報は、電極マット200の座標(x、y)で示される。電極選択部162は、電極位置決定部13から与えられる電極対の座標(x、y)に基づき、対応関係テーブル292を検索することにより、当該電極対が接続される端子の端子識別情報を読出す。読出した端子識別情報を含む端子切替の指令信号を生成し、端子切替部32に与える。端子切替部32は、上述したように、電極選択部162からの指令信号に基づき、マルチプレクサ回路を、当該指令信号に含まれる端子識別情報が指示する端子を、定電流生成部31または電位差検出部33に接続するように制御する。
 これにより、端子切替部32によって定電流生成部31と電気的に接続された電極対が定電流印加電極対として機能するようになるとともに、端子切替部32によって電位差検出部33と電気的に接続された電極対が電位差検出電極対として機能するようになる。端子切替部32による電気的な接続は、測定動作中において種々切り替えられる。
 定電流生成部31は、制御部10から受けた指令に基づいて定電流を生成し、生成した定電流を端子切替部32に供給する。定電流生成部31は、たとえば、体組成情報を測定するために好適に使用される高周波電流(たとえば、50kHz,500μA)を供給する。これにより、端子切替部32によって定電流生成部31と電気的に接続された電極対、すなわち定電流印加電極対を介して定電流が被測定者に印加されることになる。
 電位差検出部33は、端子切替部32によって電位差検出部33と電気的に接続された電極対、すなわち電位差検出電極対の電極間における電位差を検出し、検出した電位差を制御部10へ出力する。これにより、定電流が被測定者に印加された状態における電位差検出電極対の電極間の電位差が検出されることになる。
 体格情報計測部24および情報入力部25は、制御部10の演算処理部15による演算処理に利用される被測定者情報を得るための部位である。ここで、被測定者情報とは、被測定者に関する情報を意味し、たとえば年齢、性別および体格情報などの情報のうちの少なくとも1個を含む。
 体格情報とは、被測定者の身体のサイズに関する情報、たとえば、ウエスト長(腹部周長)、腹部横幅および縦幅ならびに腹部厚みなどの情報と、身長および体重などの情報とを含む。体格情報計測部24は、被測定者の体格情報を自動計測する部位であり、計測した体格情報を制御部10へ出力する。一方、情報入力部25は、被測定者情報を入力するための部位であり、入力された被測定者情報を制御部10へ出力する。
 なお、図3に示される機能ブロック図においては、体格情報計測部24および情報入力部25の両方が脂肪量測定装置1に設けられた場合を例示しているが、これら体格情報計測部24および情報入力部25は、必ずしも必須の構成ではない。これら体格情報計測部24および/または情報入力部25を設けるか否かについては、制御部10の演算処理部15において行なわれる演算処理に利用される被測定者情報の種類に基づいて適宜選択される。また、被測定者情報のうち、体格情報については、体格情報計測部24で自動計測を行なうように構成してもよいし、情報入力部25において被測定者自ら、またはオペレータが体格情報を入力するとしてもよい。
 インピーダンス測定部16のインピーダンス算出部161は、定電流生成部31によって生成された定電流の電流値と、電位差検出部33において検出されて制御部10が受けた電位差情報とに基づいて各種のインピーダンス(生体インピーダンスという)を算出する。
 脂肪量算出部17は、インピーダンス算出部161において得られたインピーダンス情報と、体格情報計測部24および/または情報入力部25から受けた被測定者情報とに基づいて脂肪量を算出する。脂肪量算出部17は、被測定者の腹部の脂肪量を算出する腹部脂肪量算出部18を含む。ここで算出される脂肪量とは、脂肪の量を指し示す指標を意味し、本実施の形態では脂肪体積を指す。
 表示部26は、演算処理部15において算出された脂肪量の情報を表示する。表示部26としては、たとえばLCD(Liquid Crystal Display)が利用可能である。
 操作部27は、脂肪量測定装置1に対してオペレータが命令を入力するための部位であり、たとえば押下可能なキー,スイッチなどによって構成される。
 電源部28は、制御部10などに電力を供給するための部位であり、バッテリなどの内部電源および商用電源等の外部電源等が含まれる。
 メモリ部29は、不揮発のメモリを含む。メモリ部29は、脂肪量測定装置1に関する各種のデータおよびプログラムを記憶するための部位であり、たとえば上述した被測定者情報、算出された脂肪量、および後述する脂肪量測定処理を実行するためのプログラムなどを記憶している。
 (生体に対する電極配置の例)
 図4には、実施の形態1に係る脂肪量測定装置1による測定時の、腹部の電極配置例が示される。図4では、1個の電極組(4個の電極対AP(1),AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)からなる組)が腹部に配置された状態が示されて、他の部位の電極は略されている。
 図4を参照して、電極対AP(1)は、電極A11およびA21を含む。電極対AP(2)は、電極A12およびA22を含む。電極対AP(3)は、電極A13およびA23を含む。電極対AP(4)は、電極A14およびA24を含む。
 被測定者が図1の仰臥位で電極マット200に腹部背面が接触した状態では、電極対AP(1),AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)は、被測定者の腹部背面において体軸方向に配置され、かつ体軸と略垂直な方向に互いに間隔をあけて配置される。たとえば、電極対AP(2)は、電極対AP(1)の電極A11,A21を通る軸から所定距離離れて配置される。
 電極対AP(1),AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)の各々の電極間距離は略等しい。たとえば、電極対AP(1)の電極A11,A21間の距離と電極対AP(2)の腹部電極A12,A22間の距離とは略等しい。電極対AP(1),AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)の電極の各々は、対応する他の電極対の電極と体軸に略垂直な方向に整列して配置される。すなわち、電極A11,A12,A13,A14は体軸と略垂直な方向に一列に配置される。電極A21,A22,A23,A24は体軸と略垂直な方向に一列に配置される。
 定電流生成部31は、端子切替部32によって定電流生成部31と電気的に接続された電極対(以下、電流電極対とも称する)の電極間に電流を流す。
 そして、電位差検出部33は、端子切替部32によって電位差検出部33と電気的に接続された電極対(以下、電圧電極対とも称する)の電極間の電位差を検出する。
 (脂肪量算出手順)
 次に、脂肪量を示す指標としての腹部脂肪面積および腹部脂肪体積の算出の際に実施される演算処理を例示する。
 今、図4のように、腹部背面に接触し得る複数電極組のうち1個の電極組が選択された状態であると想定する。インピーダンス算出部161は、定電流生成部31において生成される電流値と、電位差検出部33において検出される電位差とに基づいて、2種類のインピーダンスを算出する。2種類のインピーダンスの一方は、被測定者の腹部における除脂肪量を反映するインピーダンス(以下、インピーダンスをZtとも称する。)である。他方のインピーダンスは、被測定者の腹部における皮下脂肪量を反映するインピーダンス(以下、インピーダンスをZsとも称する。)である。
 腹部脂肪量算出部18は、算出された2種類のインピーダンスZt,Zsと、被測定者の体格情報(ウエスト長)と、に基づいて、被測定者の腹部脂肪面積(単位:cm)を算出する。具体的には、たとえば、2種類のインピーダンスZt,Zsおよび被測定者のウエスト長と腹部脂肪面積との関係を表わす以下のような式(1)によって、腹部脂肪面積Svが算出される。
   Sv=a×W-b×(1/Zt)-c×W×Zs-d   …(1)
   (ただし、a,b,c,d:係数、W:ウエスト長)。
 上述のように、1個の電極組を用いて腹部脂肪面積Svが算出されると、電極選択部162は、次位の電極組を、腹部背面に接触し得る複数個の電極組のうちから選択する。電極選択部162は選択された次位の電極組の各電極対の識別情報を含む通電の指令を、端子切替部32に出力する。
 これにより、次位の電極組(電極対AP(1),AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)からなる組)について、同様に、定電流が印加されるとともに、電位差が検出されて、インピーダンス算出部161はインピーダンスZt,Zsを算出し、腹部脂肪量算出部18により、腹部脂肪面積Svが算出される。
 以降、腹部背面に接触し得る複数の電極組が順次に選択され、選択された各電極組を用いて腹部脂肪面積Svが算出される。
 図5を参照して、腹部脂肪量算出部18による腹部脂肪体積の算出手順の概念について説明する。上述したように部位検出部12により検出された所定部位の位置に基づき、電極位置決定部13により脂肪量測定のために使用すべき複数の電極組の電極マット200上の位置が決定される。決定される位置は、図5の位置Pi(i=1,2,3・・・k・・・n)であると想定する。動作においては、各位置Piの電極組が電極選択部162により選択されて、選択された電極組を用いて図5の縦軸に示す腹部脂肪面積Svが算出される。そして、各位置Piで算出される腹部脂肪面積Svを積算することにより、図5の斜線部で示される腹部脂肪体積が算出される。
 (測定処理)
 実施の形態1に係る測定処理の一例について図6と図7のフローチャートに従って説明する。
 図6と図7のフローチャートは予めプログラムとして、メモリ部29に格納される。制御部10のCPUが当該プログラムをメモリ部29から読出し、プログラムの各命令を実行することにより処理が実現される。
 図6を参照して、まず、制御部10のCPUは、操作部27、体格情報計測部24および情報入力部25を介して、各種情報を入力する(ステップS1)。
 次に、スライダ401が、スライドレール400上をスライド移動するように、スライダ制御部34に指令信号を出力するとともに、レーザセンサ403がレーザの照射・受光をするように、センサ制御部35に指令信号を出力する。スライダ制御部34は、指令信号に従ってスライダ401を、スライドレール400上でスライド移動させ、同時に、センサ制御部35は、指令信号に従ってレーザセンサ403からレーザを照射させる。スライド移動によりレーザセンサ403がマーク201,202に対応する位置に到達すると、マーク201,202におけるレーザの反射光がレーザセンサ403により受光されて、受光信号が出力される。部位検出部12は受光信号を入力したときの、スライドバー402のスライドレール400における位置(これは、ステップモータの回転量から検出される)に基づき、胴部の所定部位(腹部)の電極マット200上における位置を検出する(ステップS3)。
 続いて、検出された所定部位の位置に基づき、電極位置決定部13により脂肪量測定のために使用すべき複数の電極組の電極対の電極マット200上の位置(座標(x、y))が決定される(ステップS5)。ここでは、決定される位置は、図5の位置Pi(i=k・・・m・・・n)に対応すると想定する。電極位置決定部13は、各電極組の電極対について決定した位置を、電極識別情報として電極選択部162に出力する。
 次に、操作部27を介して、オペレータにより測定指示が入力されたか否かが判定される(ステップS7)。測定指示がない(ステップS7でNO)と判定される間は、CPUは測定指示の入力を待機する状態となる。
 測定指示があったと判定されると(ステップS7でYES)、インピーダンス測定に用いるべき最初の電極組の位置Pi(すなわちi=k)が電極選択部162によって選択され、選択された電極組の電極対に対応する端子識別情報を含む指令信号が端子切替部32に出力される(ステップS9)。
 そして、端子切替部32は、与えられる指令信号の端子識別情報により示される端子を定電流生成部31または電位差検出部33に電気的に接続するようにマルチプレクサ回路を制御する。これにより、定電流生成部31または電位差検出部33に電気的に接続される電極組の各電極対を用いて、インピーダンス算出部161により、前述した式(1)に従って、インピーダンスが算出される(ステップS11)。このインピーダンスの算出処理については後述する。
 続いて、ステップS11で算出されたインピーダンスに基づき、腹部脂肪量算出部18によって腹部脂肪面積Svが算出される(ステップS13)。
 腹部脂肪面積Svの算出後、CPUはステップS15において、ステップS5で電極位置決定部13により決定された複数の電極組を用いて、腹部脂肪面積Svの算出が終了したか否かを判定する(ステップS15)。すなわち、図5の位置Pnの電極組を用いたインピーダンス算出が終了したか否かが判定される。
 終了したと判定されると(ステップS15でYES)、後述するステップS19の処理に移るが、終了していないと判定されると(ステップS15でNO)、電極選択部162によって次位の位置Pi(i=i+1)の電極組が選択される(ステップS17)。その後、選択された次位の電極組を用いてインピーダンスが測定される(ステップS11)。
 このように、ステップS11~S17の処理が、部位検出部12によって検出された所定部位(腹部背面)に接触し得る各電極組について、すなわち位置Pk~Pnの電極組のそれぞれについて繰返される。これにより、各電極組(図5の位置Pk~Pnに対応する各電極組)を用いて測定されたインピーダンスを用いて腹部脂肪面積Svが算出される。
 ステップS19では、腹部脂肪量算出部18により、各腹部脂肪面積Svが積算されて腹部脂肪体積が算出される。算出された脂肪体積は、表示部26を介して表示される(ステップS21)。
 図7には、インピーダンス測定処理(ステップS11)のフローチャートが示される。
 まずインピーダンスZtの算出処理を行なう。
端子切替部32は、与えられる指令信号に基づき、たとえば1対の上肢電極H11,下肢電極F11および1対の上肢電極H21,下肢電極F21をそれぞれ電流電極対として選択し、端子識別情報により指示される電極対AP(1)を電圧電極対として設定する。つまり、端子切替部32は、マルチプレクサ回路を介して、1対の上肢電極H11,下肢電極F11および1対の上肢電極H21,下肢電極F21を定電流生成部31と電気的に接続し、かつ電極対AP(1)を電位差検出部33と電気的に接続する(ステップT9)。ここで、端子切替部32は、電極選択部162からの指令信号に基づいて、選択されていない電極と定電流生成部31および電位差検出部33との電気的接続を切断する。
 定電流生成部31は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、上肢から下肢の方向に電流を流す。たとえば、定電流生成部31は、上肢電極H11および上肢電極H21から下肢電極F11および下肢電極F21へ電流を流す(ステップT10)。この場合、端子切替部32は、上肢電極H11と上肢電極H21とを短絡し、かつ下肢電極F11と下肢電極F21とを短絡させる構成であることが好ましい。なお、定電流生成部31および端子切替部32は、上肢電極H11,H21のいずれか1個から下肢電極F11,F21のいずれか1個へ電流を流す構成であってもよい。
 この状態において、電位差検出部33は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(1)の電極A11,A21間の電位差を検出する(ステップT12)。
 そして、端子切替部32は、選択されている電極組の電極対AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)を順番に電圧電極対として設定する。すなわち、端子切替部32は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)を順番に電位差検出部33と電気的に接続する(ステップT9)。そして、電位差検出部33は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)各々の電極間の電位差を順番に検出する(ステップT12)。
 インピーダンス算出部161は、すべての電極対の組み合わせに対して電位差の検出が終了した場合、ここでは電極対AP(1),AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)の各々の電極間における電位差の検出が終了した場合(ステップT13でYES)、定電流生成部31が流した電流値と、電位差検出部33が検出した各電位差とに基づいて、インピーダンスZt1~Zt4を算出する(ステップT14)。インピーダンス算出部161が算出したインピーダンスZt1~Zt4の値は、たとえばメモリ部29に一時的に格納される。
 次に、インピーダンスZsが算出される。
 すなわち、端子切替部32は、電極対AP(1)を電流電極対として設定し、電極対AP(2)を電圧電極対として設定する。つまり、端子切替部32は、電極対AP(1)を定電流生成部31と電気的に接続し、かつ電極対AP(2)を電位差検出部33と電気的に接続する(ステップT16)。ここで、端子切替部32は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、選択されている電極組の各電極対を選択的に電位差検出部33と電気的に接続し、選択されていない電極対、上肢電極および下肢電極と定電流生成部31および電位差検出部33との電気的接続を切断する。
 定電流生成部31は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(1)の電極A11,A21間に電流を流す(ステップT18)。
 この状態において、電位差検出部33は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(2)の電極A12,A22間の電位差を検出する(ステップT20)。
 そして、端子切替部32は、電極対AP3およびAP4を順番に電圧電極対として設定する。すなわち、端子切替部32は、電極対AP(3)およびAP(4)の順番に電位差検出部33と電気的に接続する(ステップT16)。そして、電位差検出部33は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(3)およびAP(4)各々の電極間の電位差を順番に検出する(ステップT20)。
 次に、端子切替部32は、電極対AP(2)を電流電極対として設定し、電極対AP(1)を電圧電極対として設定する。すなわち、端子切替部32は、電極対AP(2)を定電流生成部31と電気的に接続し、かつ電極対AP(1)を電位差検出部33と電気的に接続する(ステップT16)。
 定電流生成部31は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(2)の電極A12,A22間に電流を流す(ステップT18)。
 この状態において、電位差検出部33は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(1)の電極A11,A21間の電位差を検出する(ステップT20)。
 そして、端子切替部32は、電極対AP(3)およびAP(4)を順番に電圧電極対として設定する。すなわち、端子切替部32は、電極対AP(3)およびAP(4)を順番に電位差検出部33と電気的に接続する(ステップT16)。そして、電位差検出部33は、制御部10のCPUからの指令信号に基づいて、電極対AP(3)およびAP(4)の各々の電極間の電位差を順番に検出する(ステップT20)。
 同様に、端子切替部32は、電極対AP(3)およびAP(4)を順番に電流電極対として設定し、電極対AP(3)およびAP(4)の各々について電極対AP(1)~AP(4)のうちの電流電極対以外の電極対を順番に電圧電極対として設定し、電圧電極対の電極間の電位差をそれぞれ検出するように制御する(ステップT16~T20)。
 インピーダンス算出部161は、ステップS9(またはS17)で選択された電極組について、当該電極組のすべての電極対(電極対AP(1)~AP(4))の組み合わせに対して、電流の印加および電位差の検出が終了した場合(ステップT21でYES)、定電流生成部31が流した電流値と、電位差検出部33が検出した各電位差とに基づいて、インピーダンスZs1~Zs12を算出する(ステップT22)。インピーダンス算出部161が算出したインピーダンスZs1~Zs12の値は、たとえばメモリ部29に一時的に格納される。
 これにより、ステップS11のインピーダンス算出の処理は終了する。
 図6に戻り、ステップS13では、腹部脂肪量算出部18は、ステップS1で受付けた体格情報(ウエスト長)と、ステップS11で算出されたインピーダンスZt1~Zt4と、インピーダンスZs1~Zs12とに基づいて腹部脂肪面積Svを算出する。腹部脂肪面積Svは、上述の式(1)により算出される。
 なお、電極組が4個の電極対AP(1)~AP(4)を備える場合には、たとえば、4個のインピーダンスZt1~Zt4の平均値が式(1)におけるインピーダンスZtに代入され、12個のインピーダンスZs1~Zs12の平均値が式(1)におけるインピーダンスZsに代入される。
 以上の、図6と図7のフローチャートに従う測定により、腹部脂肪体積を算出することができる。
 実施の形態1に係る脂肪量測定装置1は、被測定者の腹部背面において体軸方向に配置するための電極対AP(1)~AP(4)を用いてインピーダンスを測定する。したがって、腹部の形状すなわち腹部の横断面と平行な方向への突出度合いが異なる被測定者間において、電流電極対の電極間の湾曲度の差および電圧電極対の電極間の湾曲度の差をより小さくすることができる。これにより、電極間の湾曲度の差による被測定者間の電位差の検出範囲および検出感度のばらつきを低減することができる。また、呼吸の際に発生する腹部の横断面に平行な方向の電極位置の変動による、電位差の変動を低減することもできる。したがって、実施の形態1に係る脂肪量測定装置1では、測定精度を向上させることができる。
 また、複数の電極対AP(1),AP(2),AP(3),AP(4)を用いて測定した各電極対の電極間の電位差に基づいて、複数のインピーダンスZtおよび複数のインピーダンスZsを算出し、インピーダンスZtおよびインピーダンスZsの各々の平均値を用いて脂肪体積を算出する。これにより、脂肪の分布および脂肪の厚みのばらつきによる影響を除去することができる。
 なお、図7のフローチャートにおいて、インピーダンス算出部161は、すべての電極対の組み合わせに対応する電位差が検出されてから、一括してインピーダンスを算出するとしたが、これに限定するものではない。電極対の電極間の電位差が検出されるたびに、インピーダンスを算出する構成であってもよい。また、電流電極対および電圧電極対の選択の順序は、図7のフローチャートに示す順序に限定されるものではない。また、インピーダンスZsを算出してからインピーダンスZtを算出する構成であってもよい。
 また、図7のフローチャートにおいて、腹部脂肪量算出部18は、インピーダンスZt1~Zt4の平均値を式(1)におけるインピーダンスZtに代入し、インピーダンスZs1~Zs12の平均値を式(1)におけるインピーダンスZsに代入する構成であるとしたが、これに限定するものではない。インピーダンス算出部161が、上肢電極および下肢電極間に電流が流された場合に検出された複数の電位差の平均値に基づいて、インピーダンスZtを算出する。また、インピーダンス算出部161が、腹部電極対の電極間に電流が流された場合に検出された複数の電位差の平均値に基づいて、インピーダンスZsを算出する構成であってもよい。
 また、インピーダンス算出部161が、インピーダンスZtおよびZsの各々について相関式を設けて、インピーダンスZtおよびZsを算出する構成であってもよい。また、インピーダンスZtおよびZsの代表値をそれぞれ選択する構成であってもよい。代表値は、たとえば算出した複数のインピーダンスの最大値等、所定の条件に基づいて選択される。
 また、式(1)では、体格情報として胴部周囲長であるウエスト長を用いて腹部脂肪面積Svを算出したが、これに限定するものではなく、ウエスト長の代わりに腹部横幅および腹部厚みを体格情報として用いてもよい。
 (位置検出機能の他の例)
 実施の形態1では、被測定者の胴部の所定位置を検出するために、レーザセンサ403を用いたが、これに限定されない。マーク201と202がマグネットからなり、マグネットの磁場を検出する磁気センサを用いてもよい。または、超音センサを用いてもよい。センサヘッドから超音波を発信し、マーク201,202で反射する超音波を受信することによりマーク201,202の位置を検出するようにしてもよい。
 これらは胴部の所定位置を非接触により検出するが、接触型で検出してもよい。たとえば、接触型のセンサの1例として圧力センサを用いた位置検出を説明する。
 図1に示すように、ベッドにはマット404が内蔵される。マット404は、被測定者が仰臥位となるベッド上の全面に敷かれており、略長方形である。マット404の長辺が延びる方向は、ベッドの長手方向に一致する。
 マット404は、マトリックス状に配列された複数個の圧力センサ(図示せず)を含む。圧力センサは、圧力を、ダイヤフラムを介して感圧素子で計測し、電気信号に変換し出力する。
 被測定者が図1のように仰臥位の状態であるとき、体の重みによる圧力は各圧力センサから信号として出力される。図8上段では、この場合の、マット404の各圧力センサの出力レベルの分布、すなわち計測した圧力の分布が示される。図8の下段のグラフでは、縦軸(Y軸)に圧力センサの出力レベルを取り、横軸(X軸)に圧力センサのマット404の長辺が延びる方向の位置を取ると、図8の上段の圧力分布は、図8の下段のグラフのように変換できる。
 被測定者が仰臥位であれば、図8の上段に示すように、マット404にかかる重みは肩と臀部の部分が大きくなる。したがって、図8の下段のグラフの極値点(変化の最も大きい点)を微分処理などで算出することにより、被測定者の胴部の所定位置(肩および臀部の位置)を検出することができる。ここで、マット404の長辺と、電極マット200の長辺とは並行であるので、測定者の胴部の所定位置をマット404の長辺上の位置として検出することにより、当該所定位置を電極マット200の長辺上の位置に換算することができる。
 部位検出部12は、肩および臀部の電極マット200の長辺上の位置と、被測定者の身長の情報とに基づき、電極マット200上における胴部の所定部位を検出することが可能となる。
 なお、マット404は電極マット200とは個別に設けたが、両者を一体的に構成するようにしてもよい。
 [実施の形態2]
 上述の実施の形態1では、電極を被測定者の腹部背面に接触させてインピーダンスを測定したが、電極の接触部は腹部背面に限定されず、本実施の形態2に示すように腹部前面であってもよい。
 図9を参照して、本発明の実施の形態2に係る脂肪量測定装置1Aの外観について説明する。脂肪量測定装置1Aは、脂肪量測定装置1のコンピュータ100と制御部101に代替して、コンピュータ100Aと制御部101Aを備える。
 本実施の形態2では、ベッドに仰臥位の被測定者の腹部には、インピーダンス測定用電極として電極マット200ではなく、ベッドの短手方向に跨るように取付け可能な枠体110が有する電極支持体120の電極が用いられる。
 なお、図9の被測定者の衣服は、腹部前面側の布が取外し可能なデザインである。したがって、測定時には、図9の仰臥位で腹部前面側の体表面に、電極支持体120に設けられた電極を接触させることができる。
 ベッドの長手方向に延びる一方の側面(図面手前の側面)には、ベッドの長手方向に延びたスライドレール300が形成されている。スライドレール300には、スライダ301が嵌め込まれている。スライダ301には、棒状の枠体110の一方端が着脱自在に接続される。枠体110は、被測定者がベッド上に仰臥位となって測定開始可能になったとき、スライダ301に装着されると想定する。枠体110がスライダ301に接続された場合には、スライダ301がスライドレール300に沿ってスライド移動することにより、スライダ301ととともに枠体110がスライドレール300に沿って、すなわちベッドの長手方向に沿って自在に移動する。
 なお、ベッドの長手方向に延びる他方の側面にも、ベッドの長手方向に延びた別のスライドレール(図示せず)が形成されており、枠体110の他方端は、一方端と同様に、別のスライドレールに沿って自在に移動する。
 スライダ301は、制御部101Aのステップモータ(図示せず)のモータの回転軸と接続されており、ステップモータの回転方向と回転角度(以下、回転量と言う)に従った方向と距離だけスライド移動する。したがって、ステップモータの回転量に基づけば、スライダ301のスライドレール300上における位置、すなわち枠体110が一体的に有する電極支持体120の電極の位置を一意に検出することができる。
 (位置検出機能と所定部位検出機能)
 枠体110には、レーザセンサ403が取付けられる。レーザセンサ403は、仰臥位の被測定者に貼付けされているマーク201,202にレーザを照射可能な位置に取付けられる。
 動作において、スライダ301に一体的に取付けられた枠体110がスライドレール300に沿ってスライド移動しながら、レーザセンサ403はレーザを照射する。照射されたレーザは、スライダ301が移動してマーク201,202に対応するスライドレール300上の位置に達したとき、マーク201,202で反射する。反射光はレーザセンサ403の受光部によって受光される。レーザセンサ403は、マーク201および202からの反射光を受光したとき、受光信号を出力する。したがって、受光信号を検出したときのスライダ301のスライドレール300における位置は、マーク201,202の位置に対応する。
 ここで、マーク201,202は、実施の形態1と同様に、腹部部位を指す目安としてのたとえば第十二肋骨と腸骨の辺りにそれぞれ貼付けられるから、レーザセンサ403の受光信号を用いて検出したマーク201,202のスライドレール300上の位置と、被測定者の身長の情報に基づき、スライドレール300上の腹部に対応する位置を検出することができる。
 なお、本実施の形態2でも、実施の形態1と同様に、マーク201および202のいずれか一方のみを貼付けて、その一方の位置をレーザセンサ403の受光信号に基づき検出し、検出した位置と、被測定者の身長とに基づき、他方の位置を検出するようにしてもよい。
 また、本実施の形態2でも、マット404を、その長辺をスライドレール300と平行となるように配置しておく。そして、各圧力センサの出力に基づき、図8に示したように、肩と臀部の位置を検出して、検出した位置に基づき、スライドレール300上の腹部に対応する位置を検出するようにしてもよい。
 枠体110は、ベッドに仰臥位の被測定者の胴部を跨ぐようにして、ベッドに取付け可能な門形状を有する(図9参照)。図10~図12には、枠体110、電極支持体120および両者の接続態様が示される。図示されるように、枠体110は、棒状の前枠部111、棒状の左枠部112、棒状の右枠部113、および前枠部111に取付けられた電極支持体120を含む。また、枠体110の左枠部112には、仰臥位の被測定者に対してレーザ照射可能な位置にレーザセンサ403が取付けられる。
 枠体110の前枠部111の略中央部には、内側に向けて突出するように電極支持体120が配置されている。電極支持体120は、その両端部が前方に位置するとともにその中央部が後方に位置するように曲成された湾曲板にて構成されている。電極支持体120の前面121には、上述した電極対AP(1)~AP(4)が露出するように設けられており、好ましくは、電極対AP(1)~AP(4)は、電極支持体120の前面121から僅かに突出している。電極支持体120は、図9のような測定時に電極対AP(1)~AP(4)が被測定者の腹部前面に向くように、前枠部111に位置決めして取付けられている。電極支持体120には、電極対AP(1)~AP(4)を端子切替部32に電気的に接続するためのケーブル40が接続される。
 また、図11に示すように、電極支持体120は、枠体110の前枠部111にたとえばボールジョイントなどを含む接続部115を介して取付けられている。これにより、電極支持体120は、前枠部111によって揺動可能に支持されている。なお、電極支持体120は体軸と略直交する方向に揺動可能である。したがって、測定時には、電極支持体120の前面121に設けられた電極対AP(1)~AP(4)を、確実にかつ適正な押し付け力にて被測定者の腹部305の前面に接触させながら(図12参照)、枠体110をスライドレール300に沿って自在に移動させることができる。
 また、接続部115にバネなどの弾性体を具備させることにより、電極支持体120が前枠部111によって支持されるようにしてもよい。このような弾性体を用いても、電極対AP(1)~AP(4)を確実にかつ適正な押し付け力にて被測定者の腹部305の前面に接触させることができる(図12参照)。
 図13には、実施の形態2に係る脂肪量測定装置1Aの機能構成が示される。図13の脂肪量測定装置1Aの構成と、図3の脂肪量測定装置1の構成とを比較し異なる点は、コンピュータ100と制御部101が、コンピュータ100Aと制御部101Aに代替された点である。
 コンピュータ100Aは、図3の制御部10に代替して制御部10Aを有する。他の構成は図3と同じである。制御部10Aは、図3のインピーダンス測定部16に代替して、インピーダンス測定部16Aを有する。インピーダンス測定部16Aは、インピーダンス算出部161、移動量決定部163および駆動制御部164を含む。制御部10Aの他の構成は、制御部10と同じである。
 制御部101Aは、制御部101のスライドバー402のスライダ制御部34に代替して、枠体110のスライダ制御部34Aを備える。制御部101Aの他の構成は、制御部101と同じである。
 枠体スライダ制御部34Aは、レーザセンサ403と電極支持体120が取付けられた枠体110を、スライドレール300上をスライド移動させるためのステップモータを含む。枠体110はステップモータの回転軸と接続されている。枠体スライダ制御部34Aは、指令信号を入力すると、指令信号により指示される回転量に従ってステップモータを回転させる。これにより、枠体110は、ステップモータの回転に連動してスライド移動する。
 部位検出部12は、枠体110のスライド移動中にセンサ制御部35を介してレーザセンサ403の受光信号を入力すると、応じて枠体スライダ制御部34Aのステップモータの回転量を検出し、検出した回転量に基づき、枠体110のスライドレール300上の位置を検出する。これにより、胴部におけるマーク201,202の位置をスライドレール300上の対応する位置として検出できる。そして、この検出した位置と、被測定者の身長情報に基づき、所定換算式に従って、仰臥位の被測定者の胴部における腹部の位置をスライドレール300上の位置として算出する。これにより、インピーダンス測定電極を接触させるべき所定部位を検出することができる。
 電極位置決定部13は、部位検出部12により検出された所定部位の体表面において、インピーダンス測定のための電極を接触させるべき複数の位置を決定する。つまり、上述したように、仰臥位の被測定者の胴部の所定部位のスライドレール300上の対応する位置が検出されることにより、検出された位置に基づき、所定部位の縦幅、すなわち体軸方向の長さを算出可能である。電極位置決定部13は、算出した所定部位の長さと、所定部位のスライドレール300上の対応位置とに基づき、所定部位の体軸方向に沿った複数の位置を、スライドレール300上の対応する複数個の位置として算出する。複数の位置は、腹部脂肪体積の測定精度を得ることが可能な所定間隔毎に算出される。算出された複数の位置は、インピーダンス測定のために電極支持体120の電極を接触させるための位置として決定される。ここでは、説明を簡単にするために、図5の位置Pk~Pnが決定されたと想定する。
 移動量決定部163は、電極位置決定部13により決定されたスライドレール300上の複数の位置Pk~Pnのそれぞれについて、スライドレール300上の基準位置からの相対的な移動量(すなわち、枠体110の移動する方向と距離)を決定する。決定された移動量は、駆動制御部164に出力される。
 駆動制御部164は、位置Pk~Pnのそれぞれについて、当該位置に対応の移動量に基づきステップモータの回転量を決定する。駆動制御部164は、決定した回転量を指令する指令信号を生成して枠体スライダ制御部34Aに出力する。枠体スライダ制御部34Aは、指令信号の回転量に従いステップモータを回転させる。ステップモータの回転に連動して枠体110はスライド移動する。これにより、枠体110で電極支持体120を、電極位置決定部13により決定された位置Pk~Pnのそれぞれの位置にまで移動させて、当該位置において停止させることができる。
 (測定処理)
 実施の形態2に係る脂肪量測定装置1Aによる測定処理を、実施の形態1の図6と図7のフローチャートに従って説明する。基本的には、実施の形態1の処理手順と同様であるので、相違する処理を中心に説明する。
 図6を参照して、脂肪量測定装置1Aは各種情報を入力し(ステップS1)、部位検出部12は、枠体110のレーザセンサ403を用いて検出した所定位置に基づき、仰臥位の被測定者の胴部における腹部の位置を、スライドレール300上の位置として検出する(ステップS3)。
 電極位置決定部13は、検出された所定部位の体軸方向の長さ(所定部位の縦幅)および位置から、上述したようにインピーダンス測定用電極を接触させるべき位置Pk~Pnを決定する(ステップS5)。測定指示の入力が検出されると(ステップS7でYES)、移動量決定部163は、ステップS5で決定された位置Pk~Pnのそれぞれに対応して、上述したように移動量を決定する。
 まず、最初の位置(図5の位置Pk)が選択される(ステップS9)。つまり、移動量決定部163は最初の位置に対応の移動量を決定して、駆動制御部164に出力する。駆動制御部164は、与えられる移動量に基づき指令信号を生成して、枠体スライダ制御部34Aに出力する。枠体スライダ制御部34Aのステップモータは指令信号に従って回転する。この結果、枠体110は最初の位置までスライド移動して停止する。このとき、電極支持体120の電極対AP(1)~AP(4)は腹部の体表面に接触した状態である。
 その後、最初の位置で、実施の形態1と同様に、インピーダンス算出部161により図7のフローチャートに従ってインピーダンスが算出され(ステップS11)、そして、腹部脂肪面積Svが算出される(ステップS13)。最初の位置で腹部脂肪面積Svが算出されると、次位の位置(図5の位置Pkの次の位置)が選択されて(ステップS17)、同様にして、電極支持体120を次位の位置まで移動させて、ステップS11~S13の処理により、次位の位置で腹部脂肪面積Svが算出される。このような処理を繰返すことにより、全ての位置(図5の位置Pk~Pnまで)について腹部脂肪面積Svが算出されると(ステップS15でYES)、(式1)に従って腹部脂肪量算出部18により腹部脂肪体積が算出される(ステップS19)。算出された腹部脂肪体積は、表示部26を介して表示される(ステップS21)。これにより、腹部脂肪体積の測定は終了する。
 本実施の形態2では、レーザセンサ403は枠体110に取付けられるので、レーザセンサ403の移動機構と、電極移動機構とを共用することができ、装置を小型化・簡略化することができる。
 [変形例]
実施の形態1の電極マット200を被測定者の胴部に巻かれるベルトとして構成されてもよい。その場合には、腹部前面側に電極が位置するようにベルトを巻くことで、実施の形態1の測定手順で、腹部前面側からインピーダンスを測定することができる。
 実施の形態1の腹部背面からの脂肪量の測定と、実施の形態2の腹部前面からの脂肪量の測定を個別に適用して腹部脂肪体積を測定してもよく、また、両者を併用して測定してもよい。併用する場合には、腹部脂肪量算出部18は、腹部前面および腹部背面の両方に対応するインピーダンスに基づいて内臓脂肪量を算出する。または、腹部脂肪量算出部18は、腹部前面および腹部背面のいずれか一方に対応するインピーダンスを選択して腹部脂肪体積を算出する構成であってもよい。たとえば、腹部脂肪量算出部18は、腹部前面に対応するインピーダンスと腹部背面に対応するインピーダンスとで大きい方を選択する構成であってもよい。
 また、腹部脂肪量算出部18が、腹部前面における測定結果に基づく腹部脂肪体積と腹部背面における測定結果に基づく腹部脂肪体積とで大きい方を選択する構成であってもよい。
 また、腹部脂肪量算出部18が、腹部前面における測定結果に基づく腹部脂肪体積、および腹部背面における測定結果に基づく腹部脂肪体積の平均値を求めて代表値とする等、所定の条件に基づいて腹部脂肪体積の代表値を算出する構成であってもよい。
 腹部脂肪の体積を計測するにあたっては、体が大きい人、小さい人によってインピーダンス測定用の電極を接触させる位置を、体のサイズに併せて変更する必要があるけれども、各実施の形態によれば、自動で電極の接触位置を体のサイズに合わせて変更することができる。これにより、被測定者の体のサイズによらず、腹部脂肪体積を測定するための適切な位置に電極を接触させることが可能となり、正確な脂肪量の算出が可能となる。
 また、X線CTまたはMRIなど大型の設備を必要とすることなく、また画像から幾何学的に脂肪量を算出するための時間も必要とせずに、正確な脂肪量の算出が可能となる。
 また、本実施の形態では、図1に示すように特別のベッドを準備したが、これに限定されず、市販の一般的なベッドを用いることができる。つまり、市販されているベッドの上にスライドレール400およびスライダ401を一体的に取り付けた電極マット200を敷くようにする。この場合、図1の制御部101の機能はコンピュータ100に内蔵されることになり、市販ベッドの電極マット200側とコンピュータ100はケーブルなどを介して通信する。また、図1では比較的大型のコンピュータ100を用いているが、当該コンピュータ100に代替して、携帯型の小型のコンピュータを用いてもよい。
 今回開示された実施の形態はすべての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えられるべきである。本発明の範囲は上記した説明ではなくて請求の範囲によって示され、請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。

Claims (6)

  1.  インピーダンス測定電極を、被測定者の体表面に接触させて測定した生体インピーダンスに基づき、生体の脂肪量を測定するための脂肪量測定装置であって、
     被測定者の胴部の所定位置を検出するための位置検出手段と、
     前記位置検出手段によって検出された位置を用いて、胴部の所定部位を検出するための部位検出手段(12)と、
     前記部位検出手段によって検出された前記所定部位の体表面において、前記生体インピーダンスを測定するための胴部縦方向に沿った複数の位置を決定するための電極位置決定手段(13)と、
     前記電極位置決定手段により決定された複数の位置のそれぞれ毎に、前記インピーダンス測定電極を接触させて前記生体インピーダンスを測定するインピーダンス測定手段(16)と、
     前記インピーダンス測定手段により測定された前記複数の位置それぞれの前記生体インピーダンスと、前記所定部位の胴部サイズとに基づき、前記所定部位の脂肪量を算出するための脂肪量算出手段(18)と、を備える、脂肪量測定装置。
  2.  前記脂肪量算出手段は、
     前記複数の位置それぞれ毎に、前記生体インピーダンスと、前記所定部位の胴部周囲長とに基づき、所定式に従って当該位置に対応した脂肪面積を算出し、算出された前記脂肪面積を積算することにより、前記所定部位の脂肪体積を算出する、請求項1に記載の脂肪量測定装置。
  3.  前記生体のうちの少なくとも前記所定部位を含む部分の体表面に接触可能なように、複数個の前記インピーダンス測定電極が配列された電極配列部を、さらに備え、
     前記インピーダンス測定手段は、
     前記電極位置決定手段により決定された体表面の複数の位置のそれぞれに基づいて、体表面の当該位置に接触させるべきインピーダンス測定電極を、前記電極配列部に配列された前記複数個のインピーダンス測定電極のうちから選択する電極選択手段(162)を含む、請求項1に記載の脂肪量測定装置。
  4.  前記インピーダンス測定電極を、体表面に接触可能なように支持する電極支持部と、
     前記電極支持部を、前記胴部縦方向に沿って移動させるための移動部と、をさらに備え、
     前記インピーダンス測定手段は、
     前記電極位置決定手段により決定された体表面の複数の位置のそれぞれ毎に、当該位置に基づき前記移動部の移動量を決定する移動量決定手段と、
     前記移動量決定手段によって決定された複数の位置のそれぞれの移動量に基づいて、当該位置に前記電極支持部を移動させるように、前記移動部を制御する移動制御手段と、を含む、請求項1に記載の脂肪量測定装置。
  5.  前記位置検出手段は、
     前記所定位置を指示するために生体に関連して設けられたマーカを検出するためのマーカ検出手段を、含み、
     前記マーカ検出手段の出力に基づき、前記所定位置を検出する、請求項1に記載の脂肪量測定装置。
  6.  前記位置検出手段は、
     生体のうちの前記所定部位を含む部分の重みによる圧力を検出可能な複数個の圧力センサが配列されたセンサ配列部を、さらに備え、
     前記センサ配列部の複数個の圧力センサの検出信号に基づき、胴部の前記所定部位を検出する、請求項1に記載の脂肪量測定装置。
