Abstract

무선랜 시스템에서 전송자에 의한 MIMO 패킷 전송 방법이 제공된다. 상기 방법은 적어도 하나 이상의 수신자 각각으로 전송되는 적어도 하나 이상의 공간 스트림(spatial stream) 세트를 포함하는 MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) 패킷(packet)을 생성하되, 공간 스트림 세트 각각은 두 개의 인코딩 기법 중 하나를 기반으로 인코딩되며, MIMO 지시자 및 제1 MCS(modulation and coding scheme) 필드를 포함하는 제1 제어 정보를 전송하되, 상기 MIMO 지시자는 상기 MIMO 패킷이 SU(signle user)-MIMO 또는 MU(multi user)-MIMO를 위한 것인지 여부를 지시하고, 상기 제1 MCS 필드는 상기 MIMO 패킷이 SU-MIMO 전송을 위한 것이면 상기 MIMO 패킷을 위해 사용된 MCS를 지시하며, 상기 MIMO 패킷이 MU-MIMO 전송을 위한 것이면 상기 공간 스트림 세트 각각에 대하여 적용된 인코딩 기법을 지시하고 및 상기 MIMO 패킷을 적어도 하나 이상의 수신자로 전송하는 것을 포함한다. 상기 두 개의 인코딩 기법 각각은 LDPC(low density parity check) 인코딩, BCC(binary convolution coding) 인코딩인 것을 특징으로 한다.
