Abstract
본 발명은 전기영동 입자, 이를 포함하는 전기영동 매체 및 전기영동 디스플레이에 관한 것으로서, 구체적으로 본 발명의 전기영동 입자는 고분자 주쇄와 상기 주쇄에 공유 결합된 하나 이상의 부쇄를 포함하고, 상기 고분자 주쇄가 입자 형상을 띄고 있는 바인더 수지; 상기 바인더 수지 상에 분산되어 있는 색재; 및 상기 바인더 수지 상에 분산되어 있는 전하조절제를 포함하고, 상기 부쇄의 적어도 일부는 입자 표면으로 노출되어 있는 형태이다. 상기 전기영동 입자는 그 제조 단계가 간단하고 용이하면서도, 입자간 응집 현상이 적게 일어나, 전기영동 디스플레이에 적용 시 향상된 영상 안정성 및 빠른 응답 속도를 나타낼 수 있어, 전기영동 입자를 포함하는 전기영동 디스플레이의 제조에 관한 산업 분야에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
