Abstract

La présente invention concerne un poly(acide dihydroférulique) (PHFA) thermoplastique biorenouvelable inédit qui est un bon mimétique du poly(téréphtalate d'éthylène) (PET). Le PHFA peut être préparé par homocondensation de l'acide acétyldihydroférulique qui, peut, en fin de compte, être synthétisé à partir de la vanilline isolée depuis la lignine ou d'autres sources biorenouvelables.
