Abstract

인터 예측 방법 및 그 인터 예측 방법을 이용한 동영상 부호화/복호화 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 동영상 부호화 방법은, 랜덤 액세스의 기준이 되는 제 1 픽처를 부호화하는 단계; 제 1 픽처보다 먼저 디스플레이되는 제 2 픽처에 포함된 블록을 복수의 참조 화상을 사용하여 인터 예측 부호화하는 단계; 제 2 픽처보다 먼저 디스플레이되는 과거 화상이 제 2 픽처의 부호화에 참조 화상으로서 사용되는지를 나타내는 참조화상정보를 생성하는 단계; 및 부호화된 제 1 및 제 2 픽처와 참조화상정보를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
