Abstract
The invention relates to the use of a granulated mineral or mineral agglomerate which contains naturally occurring smectite-rich clays and/or bentonites having a proportion of swellable three-sheet silicates and/or naturally occurring nanohalloysites, where the granulated mineral or mineral agglomerate has not been chemically treated and is free of additives, as gas adsorbent for removing ozone, siloxanes, formaldehyde, mercaptans, hydrocarbons and organic amines from waste air/offgas, natural gas and gaseous energy carriers.
