Abstract
The invention relates to a refrigerated cabinet (1.1; 1.2; 1.3; 1.4; 1.5) having a refrigeration compartment (2) for accommodating products which are to be cooled, at least one fan (6), ventilator, blower or similar fluid-flow machine which generates a stream (8) of circulating air, and an evaporator (9) for cooling the stream (8) of circulating air which is routed through the refrigeration compartment (2) in order to cool the products, wherein the refrigerated cabinet (1.1; 1.2; 1.3; 1.4; 1.5) is designed to cool the refrigeration chamber (2) using cold ambient air. Provision is made for the refrigerated cabinet (1.1; 1.2; 1.3; 1.5) to have at least one inlet (3.1; 3.2) for feeding ambient air or fluid which is cooled using ambient air to the stream (8) of circulating air, and at least one outlet (4.1; 4.2) for discharging air from the stream (8) of circulating air. The invention also relates to a kit for retrofitting a refrigerated cabinet to form a refrigerated cabinet (1.1; 1.2; 1.3; 1.4; 1.5) for cooling the refrigeration compartment (2) of said refrigerated cabinet using cold ambient air.
