Abstract

본 발명은 이동 통신 시스템에서 캐리어를 활성화하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 캐리어 집적을 위한 지시 메시지 수신 시, 다수개의 순방향 캐리어들을 집적하고, 순방향 캐리어 별로 순방향 비트 위치를 결정하고, 순방향 캐리어 별 상태를 지시하는 상태 비트맵을 포함하는 캐리어 상태 메시지 수신 시, 상태 비트맵에서 결정된 순방향 비트 위치에 따라 순방향 캐리어 별 상태를 파악하고, 파악된 상태에 따라 순방향 캐리어를 활성화시키거나 비활성화시키도록 구성된다. 본 발명에 따르면, 캐리어 활성화 및 비활성화에 따른 시그날링 오버 헤드를 최소화할 수 있다.
