Abstract

본 발명은, 해상 탐색 구조 시스템에서 해상 재난 시에 선박들의 위치 확인 및 구조를 위한 비상 위치 지시용 무선 표지(EPIRB: Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) 단말기, 및 상기 EPIRB 단말기의 동작 상태를 감시하는 장치와 방법에 관한 것으로, 상기 EPIRB 단말기는, 비상 위치 지시용 무선 표지 단말기가 설치된 선박의 침몰을 감지하는 센서부; 상기 센서부의 감지 결과에 상응하여 조난 메시지를 생성하는 생성부; 상기 조난 메시지를 포함하는 조난 신호를 방송하는 송신부;를 포함하며; 상기 센서부는, 상기 선박의 내부에서의 수압을 감지하여 수압 감지 신호를 출력하는 수압 센서; 상기 선박의 내부에서의 수분을 감지하여 수분 감지 신호를 출력하는 수분 센서; 및 상기 선박으로부터 상기 비상 위치 지시용 무선 표지 단말기의 분리를 감지하여 분리 감지 신호를 출력하는 분리 센서;를 포함하며; 상기 센서부는, 상기 수압 감지 신호, 상기 수분 감지 신호, 및 상기 분리 감지 신호가 모두 출력될 경우, 상기 선박의 침몰을 정상적으로 인지하여 상기 조난 메시지의 생성 요청 신호를 상기 생성부로 출력한다.
