Abstract
본 발명은 텍스트(Text), 오디오(Audio), 이미지(Image), 비디오(Video)의 조합으로 구성된 리치미디어를 재생할 수 있는 재생 기능을 서버 상에 구비하고, 서버가 사용자 디바이스로부터 해상도 정보를 전달받아 리치미디어를 사용자 디바이스의 해상도에 맞게 영상의 크기와 프레임율을 변경하여 스트리밍 데이터로 생성한 후 사용자 디바이스로 스트리밍하는, 미디어 스트리밍을 이용한 리치미디어 서비스 방법 및 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 미디어 스트리밍을 이용한 리치 미디어 서비스는, 사용자 디바이스에서 해상도, 영상의 크기, 프레임율, 사용자 입력 방식이 포함된 디바이스 정보를 리치미디어 서비스 서버로 전송하여 리치미디어 서비스를 요청하고, 리치미디어 서비스 서버가 사용자 디바이스로부터 전송받은 디바이스 정보를 근거로 사용자 디바이스로 제공할 리치미디어에 대해 디바이스 정보에 맞게 해상도와 영상의 크기, 프레임율 등을 변경하여 스트리밍 형태의 스트리밍 데이터로 인코딩한 후 사용자 디바이스로 스트리밍하는 것이다. 본 발명에 의하면, 서비스 제공자는 다양한 단말기 각각에 대해 rich media application을 개발하지 않고 interactive 한 rich media service를 제공할 수 있으며, rich media service의upgrade, bug path 또한 단말기에 새로운 어플리케이션(application)을 설치하지 않고 지원할 수 있다. 그 결과, 서비스 제공자는 용이하게 다양한 단말기에 rich media service를 제공할 수 있고, 사용자는 자신의 단말기의 성능에 관계없이 rich media service를 제공받을 수 있다.
