Abstract

본 발명은 3차원 애니메이션이나 3차원 가상 공간, 광고 내용 전달 등에서 등장하는 3차원 캐릭터가 울거나 웃는 등의 감정표현 동작을 실행하면서 전달 내용을 말로 표출하는 발화 동작을 동시에 실행함으로써, 3차원 캐릭터를 통해 스토리 전달이나 광고 전달, 내용 전달 등이 명확하게 이루어질 수 있도록 된, 캐릭터의 발화와 감정표현 제공 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 캐릭터의 발화 및 감정표현 제공 시스템은, 주변 상황을 인식하기 위한 상황 인식부; 상기 인식된 주변 상황에 따른 발화문을 선택하는 발화문 선택부; 상기 선택된 발화문을 표현하는데 필요한 입술모양을 선택하기 위한 발화이미지 선택부; 상기 인식된 주변 상황에 따른 감정표현에 대응된 얼굴표정을 선택하기 위한 표정 선택부; 상기 선택된 발화문에 해당하는 음원을 생성하는 음원 생성부; 상기 발화문으로부터 입술모양 생성에 필요한 자음 및 모음 정보를 추출하고, 상기 입술모양이 변하는 자음 및 모음이 발음되는 시간 정보를 생성하는 구문 분석부; 상기 얼굴표정과 상기 입술모양 및 상기 음원을 동기시켜 표출하도록 제어하는 제어부; 및 상기 동기된 얼굴표정과 입술모양 및 음원을 표출하는 감정 표현부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 2D 또는 3D 캐릭터에 있어서 얼굴 표정과 발화 내용을 동시에 표출할 수 있는 캐릭터를 제공할 수 있다. 따라서, 캐릭터의 얼굴표정과 발화내용에 따라 다양한 감정표현을 제공할 수 있다.
