Abstract

The application relates to a system for protecting products against courterfeiting. The problem is to enable a customer to verify that an item is genuine. The solution is to include a code to the product which is hidden before the product is sold. After purchasing the product, the customer uncovers the code and enters the code on a website in order to find out whether the product is genuine. Each code can be verified only once; after verification, the code is blocked in the data base.
