Furthermore, since area above the user's eyebrow is made of a layer of skin over rigid bone, the strip is easily attached to the user's forehead by pressing the base against the bone. Because the skin on the forehead is generally less sensitive than between the eyebrows and the eyes, applying the strip to the forehead decreases the chance of skin irritations due to the application and removal of the strip, and due to the contact between the skin and the adhesive substance. The distance between the eye and the strip decreases or totally eliminates negative effects on the user's peripheral vision.

Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à une bande adaptée pour dévier de la sueur de l'œil d'un utilisateur, la bande contenant une base étanche à l'eau et un rabat étanche à l'eau. La base étanche à l'eau comprend une face arrière qui est dirigée vers l'utilisateur et une face avant qui est dirigée à l'opposé de l'utilisateur. La face arrière est revêtue d'une substance adhésive étanche à l'eau et elle est conçue pour adhérer au front de l'utilisateur, en dessus des sourcils. Le rabat étanche à l'eau est joint à la face avant de la base, de sorte à former un canal entre la base et le rabat. Le canal est conçu pour recueillir la sueur qui s'écoule le long du front de l'utilisateur et empêche ainsi la sueur de pénétrer dans l'œil de l'utilisateur. La bande est allongée et configurée de sorte à s'étendre sur une zone du front, en dessus du sourcil, de telle sorte qu'aucune extrémité de la bande ne se trouve directement au-dessus de l'œil.
