Abstract

La présente invention concerne un service Web destiné à faciliter le paiement en temps réel de factures de fournisseurs avec des comptes délivrés par des émetteurs à des titulaires de comptes. Une demande de paiement reçue par le service Web en provenance d'un client, et qui identifie la limite de crédit d'un compte commercial parmi un groupe de comptes, est envoyée par le service Web à l'émetteur pour déterminer l'existence du compte et la limite de crédit du titulaire du compte. Si la réponse de l'émetteur à cette demande confirme l'existence du compte, des instructions de paiement destinées à l'émetteur sont envoyées par le service Web pour payer la facture du fournisseur. En variante, la demande peut viser à déterminer l'existence d'un compte à usage unique (SUA) et à faire ajuster la limite de crédit du titulaire du compte par l'émetteur afin d'effectuer sur le SUA un prochain paiement unique auprès du fournisseur pour un achat correspondant à une prochaine facture du fournisseur qui n'a pas encore fourni les marchandises et/ou les services correspondant à la facture.
