Abstract
The invention relates to a contact pin (01) for use on illumination means and a method for the production thereof, wherein the contact pin (01) is formed substantially from a hollow cylinder (06), in which a wire can be brought into contact. The hollow cylinder (06) is produced from a section of a roll-formed sheet metal strip for this purpose, wherein the edges of the sheet metal strip form a gap (07) on the hollow cylinder (06) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the contact pin (01). The contact pin (01) preferably has a collar (08) and at least one tapered section (09).
