Definitions
- the present invention relates to an access authority changing method capable of dynamically changing an access authority for a CSG cell.
- CSG Cellular Subscriber Group
- SAE Service Architecture Evolution
- the core network includes a white list that lists cells that can be accessed by each terminal, and each terminal includes a white list that lists cells that can be accessed by the terminal itself.
- the terminal side refers to its own white list to determine whether the cell can be accessed, and performs access only when the cell is accessible.
- the core network side refers to the white list of the terminal when receiving the service request of the terminal from the CSG cell, and starts the service only when the terminal has access authority to the CSG cell. If permission is granted and the user does not have access authority, the service is interrupted and the wireless access of the terminal is disconnected.
- a terminal that is not normally permitted to access is temporarily accessible according to an instruction from the owner of the base station that constitutes the CSG cell, and conversely, a terminal that is permitted to access the terminal is permitted. It can be temporarily inaccessible.
- Such techniques are disclosed in Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2 below.
- 3GPP TS36.300 “Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) and Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN); Overall description; Stage 2 (Release 8),” V8.7.0 (2008-12) 3GPP TR24.801, “3GPP System Architecture Evolution (SAE); CT WG1 Aspects (Release 8),” V8.1.0 (2008-12)
- 3GPP does not stipulate a technique for dynamically changing the access authority for the CSG cell. For this reason, when the access authority for the CSG cell is dynamically changed, there is a problem that a mismatch may occur temporarily in the white lists on the terminal side and the core network side.
- the owner of the home base station instructs the core network to temporarily access a specific guest terminal to the cell of the home base station, and the core network provides a white list of guest terminals that the core base station has
- a case is assumed in which access to a base station cell is changed. In this case, the guest terminal cannot access (do not try) the cell of the home base station unless the white list provided by the guest terminal is changed. Therefore, if there is no cell that the guest terminal can connect to other than the cell of the home base station, that is, if the connection path from the guest terminal to the core network is not other than the path through the cell of the home base station, the core network , Cannot notify the guest terminal of whitelist update.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above, and an access authority change capable of dynamically changing an access authority for a CSG cell without causing inconsistency between white lists on a terminal side and a core network side
- the purpose is to obtain a method.
- the present invention includes at least one terminal, a core network device, and a base station that constitutes a cell capable of connecting only terminals permitted to access.
- the core network device maintains a first list that is a white list that lists cells accessible to each terminal, and each terminal is a white list that lists cells that can be accessed by itself.
- An access authority changing method in a cellular system that holds a second list, wherein the base station has permitted access to a predetermined terminal that is not permitted to access its own cell.
- the guest terminal addition instruction step for notifying the network device, and the core network device that has received the notification are listed in the first list.
- a first cell addition step of adding a cell of the base station as a cell accessible by a certain terminal, and a first list in which the core network device has added cells in the first cell addition step A change content transmitting step for transmitting to the base station, a notifying step for broadcasting the first list received from the core network device in the cell by the base station, and the predetermined terminal comprising the base station
- the access authority changing method according to the present invention has an effect that no inconsistency occurs between the white lists on the terminal side and the core network side.

- FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of a cellular system according to the present embodiment.
- the cellular system includes terminals 1, 2, 3, a core network device 10, and base stations 20, 30.
- Cells 21 and 31 indicate areas where communication is possible in the base stations 20 and 30, respectively.
- Terminals 1 to 3 are mobile terminals that communicate with the core network apparatus 10 via the base station 20 or the base station 30.
- the core network device 10 is connected to the base station 20 and communicates with a terminal that is in the cell 21 of the base station 20 and in a communicable state. In addition, it connects to the base station 30 and communicates with a terminal located in the cell 31 of the base station 30 and in a communicable state.
- the base stations 20 and 30 are base stations set indoors where outdoor radio waves are difficult to reach, such as homes.
- the cells 21 and 31 are CSG cells. It is assumed that the cells 21 and 31 do not receive radio waves from other base stations.
- FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of a white list provided in the core network device 10. It consists of a pair of a terminal identifier and a list of CSG cells to which a terminal specified by the terminal identifier can be connected. Specifically, the terminal 1 can access the cell 21, and the terminals 2 and 3 can access the cell 31.
- wound with which each terminal is provided it becomes only the information regarding an own terminal among the contents shown in FIG. For example, the white list of terminal 1 is only “21”, and the white list of terminals 2 and 3 is only “31”. When such a white list is provided, the terminals 1 to 3 located in the cell 21 are in the following communication state.
- Terminal 1 The terminal 1 acquires the cell identifier from the broadcast information broadcast in the cell 21 by the base station 20, and collates the white list. Since the cell 21 is registered in the white list of the terminal 1, the terminal 1 determines that the cell 21 is accessible, and is positioned with the core network device 10 via the base station 20 configuring the cell 21. Register. The core network device 10 recognizes that the terminal 1 is in the cell 21. As a result, when there is an incoming call to the terminal 1, the core network device 10 can notify the terminal 1 of the incoming call by sending a paging message toward the cell 21. On the other hand, after the location registration is completed, the terminal 1 enters a standby state in the cell 21 and can monitor a paging message transmitted from the core network device 10 and can also transmit from itself when necessary.
- Terminal 2 Similarly to the terminal 1, the terminal 2 acquires a cell identifier from the broadcast information broadcasted by the base station 20 in the cell 21, and collates the white list. Since the cell 21 is not registered in the white list of the terminal 2, the terminal 2 determines that access is not permitted in the cell 21, and communicates with the core network device 10 via the base station 20 configuring the cell 21. The cell is searched for other connectable cells without performing location registration. Here, since the radio waves from other base stations do not reach the cell 21, no alternative cell is found, and the terminal 2 is out of the communication range. In addition, since the radio wave of the cell 21 has arrived, it is assumed that it can be transmitted from the cell 21 in an emergency. On the other hand, the core network device 10 cannot determine the location of the terminal 2 because there is no location registration from the terminal 2, and determines that the terminal 2 is out of reach of radio waves or is turned off.
- Terminal 3 The communication state is the same as that of the terminal 2.
- an owner (not shown) of the base station 20 notifies the core network device 10 that the terminal 2 is permitted to access the cell 21.
- a general communication method in a cellular system is used.
- the owner connects to the core network using his / her terminal and operates the terminal to register, or the owner calls the service center and registers by the operator's operation. It is not limited.
- FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of the rewritten white list included in the core network device 10.
- the cell 21 is added to the column of the terminal 2 as an accessible cell.
- FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of the access control update information.
- the access control update information is composed of N information elements, each corresponding to a base station cell that is a target of the access control update. Each information element is composed of “target cell”, “number of access-permitted terminals”, and “access-permitted terminals”, and indicates the number of terminals that are temporarily allowed to access in the corresponding CSG cell and the identifier of the terminal. .
- FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of access control update information.
- the number of terminals permitted to access is one, indicating that the terminal 2 can be temporarily accessed.
- the base station 20 extracts the identifier of the terminal that is temporarily allowed access in the cell corresponding to the own station from the access control update information received from the core network device 10, and broadcasts it as broadcast information of the cell.
- the base station 20 has only a cell 21 as a cell in the communication area.
- the access control update information received from the core network device 10 is as shown in FIG. 5, it is described that the terminal 2 is temporarily permitted access in the cell 21, so the base station 20
- the identifier of the terminal 2 is included in the 21 broadcast information.
- a list of identifiers of terminals that are temporarily allowed access in the cell that is broadcast from each cell by each base station is referred to as a CSG cell white list.
- the terminals 1 to 3 located in the cell 21 are in the following communication state.
- Terminal 1 The terminal 1 is already in a communicable state in the cell 21 based on the white list provided in itself. Therefore, a CSG cell white list based on broadcast information from the cell 21 is not acquired.
- Terminal 2 The terminal 2 obtains the CSG cell white list based on the broadcast information from the cell 21, and since its own identifier is described in the CSG cell white list, the terminal 2 is temporarily allowed access in the cell 21. Recognize that. Therefore, the terminal 2 rewrites the contents of the white list (adds the cell 21), and normally communicates with the core network device 10 via the base station 20 in the same manner as the cells registered in the white list. As in the case of the terminal 1, communication is possible.
- Terminal 3 acquires the CSG cell white list based on the broadcast information from the cell 21, but since the identifier of the CSG cell white list is not described in the CSG cell white list, the cell 21 determines that access is not possible, and the state outside the communication range again. It becomes.
- the terminal 2 to which access is temporarily permitted can be newly connected in the cell 21 and can communicate with the core network device 10 via the base station 20.
- the owner of the base station 20 notifies the core network device 10 that the terminal 2 is prohibited from accessing the cell 21.
- the core network device 10 selects the cell 21 from the list of accessible cells of the terminal 2 in its own white list. delete.
- the white list included in the core network device 10 is as shown in FIG. 2 again.
- FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of access control update information.
- the core network device 10 transmits access control update information shown in FIG. 6 to the base station 20.
- FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of access control update information.
- the cell 21 of the target cell there is no terminal that is temporarily allowed to access. That is, it indicates that access is prohibited for the terminal 2 to which access is temporarily permitted.
- the base station 20 When the base station 20 receives the access control update information shown in FIG. 6, the base station 20 deletes the identifier of the terminal 2 from the CSG whitelist which is the “list of temporarily accessible terminals” broadcasted in the cell 21 (this book In the case of the embodiment, the list is empty).
- the terminal 2 After changing the access authority for the terminal 2 in the core network device 10 and the base station 20, the terminal 2 is prohibited from accessing the cell 21 by any of the following methods (1) to (4), for example. Recognizing this, the cell 21 enters the out-of-communication state again.
- the core network device 10 When the terminal 2 is communicating, the core network device 10 notifies the terminal 2 that access is prohibited in the cell 21 using the connection being communicated. The terminal 2 becomes out of communication range after the communication is completed. The notification may be during communication or at the end of communication. The core network device 10 recognizes the terminal 2 as out of service at the stage of notifying the terminal 2 that access is prohibited.
- the core network device 10 calls the terminal 2 by paging via the base station 20, and after being connected via the base station 20, is communicating in the same manner as (1) Using the connection, the terminal 2 is notified that access is prohibited in the cell 21.
- the subsequent processing is the same as (1) above.
- the core network device 10 is connected during communication in the same manner as (1) when the terminal 2 is connected via the base station 20 for position registration periodically performed by the terminal 2. Is used to notify the terminal 2 that access is prohibited in the cell 21. The subsequent processing is the same as (1) above.
- the terminal 2 When the terminal 2 periodically acquires broadcast information and recognizes that it has been deleted from the CSG cell white list, the terminal 2 connects to the core network device 10 via the base station 20 and Perform the withdrawal process. After the leaving process, the terminal 2 is out of the communication range, and the core network device 10 recognizes the terminal 2 as out of the communication range.
- the core network device 10 decides to prohibit the access of the terminal 1 in the cell 21 by the notification from the base station 20, each information element in the access control update information shown in FIGS.
- the terminal 1 recognizes that access to the cell 21 is prohibited by any one of the above methods (1) to (3), deletes the cell 21 from its own white list, and then goes out of communication range. It becomes a state.
- the core network device transmits access control update information to the base station, the base station generates a CSG cell white list based on the access control update information, and broadcasts as broadcast information of the CSG cell in the same cell
- the terminal outside the service area can recognize that access to the CSG cell is permitted.
- the terminal changes the white list. It can be connected to the core network device via the base station.
- the terminal 2 determines that access to the cell 21 is permitted based on the CSG cell white list and performs location registration with the core network device 10 via the base station 20, You may make it synchronize a white list between.
- the core network device 10 transmits access control update information to each base station, and each base station generates a CSG cell white list to be broadcast in the CSG cell.
- the present invention is not limited to this. is not.
- the core network device 10 may generate a CSG cell white list to be broadcast in each CSG cell and notify each base station, and each base station may broadcast the received CSG cell white list as it is.
- s (N, I) is obtained by scrambling a terminal-specific identifier I such as IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) for a random sequence number N that changes periodically, and then CRC (Cyclic Redundancy) Check) is added, and s (N, I)
- IMSI International Mobile Subscriber Identity
- CRC (s (N, I) is set as the terminal identifier in the CSG cell white list.
- Embodiment 2 FIG. In the present embodiment, a terminal is called by paging, and a change in access control is notified to the terminal. A different part from Embodiment 1 is demonstrated.
- the configuration of the cellular system and the white list of each device are the same as those in the first embodiment. That is, in the cell 21, the terminal 1 is in a communicable state and the terminals 2 and 3 are in a communicable state. In the first embodiment, the terminals 2 and 3 are in the same state as when they are outside the communication range, and communication between the core network device 10 and the terminals 2 and 3 is impossible. Then, the terminals 2 and 3 enter a semi-standby state in the cell 21 when no other accessible cell is found. In the semi-standby state, only the paging message is awaited without performing location registration or transmission.
- the core network device 10 when the core network device 10 receives the notification from the base station 20 and decides to temporarily permit the terminal 2 to access in the cell 21, the core network device 10 rewrites its own white list as shown in FIG. 20, a paging message is transmitted to the cell 21 to call the terminal 2.
- the terminals 2 and 3 are waiting for a paging message transmitted from the cell 21, and both receive the paging message.
- only the identifier of the terminal 2 is included in the paging message, only the terminal 2 connects to the core network apparatus 10 via the base station 20 configuring the cell 21 in response to paging.
- the core network device 10 and the terminal 2 update the content of the white list using the connection established through the base station 20 so that the terminal 2 also rewrites the content of its own white list (add the cell 21). can do.
- terminal 2 can access cell 21 as a terminal that is temporarily permitted to access, and can communicate with core network apparatus 10 via base station 20. It becomes possible. Note that the method of prohibiting access to the terminal 2 to which access is temporarily permitted is the same as in the first embodiment.
- a terminal that is temporarily permitted to access exists in the CSG cell, but if the CSG cell is not registered in the white list of the terminal, the terminal As a semi-standby state, a paging message from the CSG cell can be received.
- the core network device calls the target terminal when it is desired to change the access authority to the CSG cell, and updates the white list of both terminals after connecting to the terminal via the base station, thereby allowing the terminal to update the CSG cell.
- the cell can be accessible.
- the core network device 10 transmits the paging only to the cell 21 via the base station 20, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the core network device 10 is located around the target cell to which access is permitted. Paging may be transmitted to a plurality of cells.
- FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of the cellular system. The point provided with the base station 40 is different from FIG. The cell 41 indicates an area in the base station 40 where communication is possible.
- the terminal 2 when both the radio wave from the base station 20 and the radio wave from the base station 40 reach the terminal 2, the terminal 2 is in a semi-standby state in the cell 41 and is directed to the cell 21.
