Abstract

In the present invention clean overclothes worn in clean workplaces, particularly nursing clothes worn by doctors and nurses in hospitals, and cotton-fabric covering garments worn by patients undergoing treatment in hospitals are subjected to an antimicrobial, deodorising and anti-soiling treatment involving spraying or coating or soaking with an antimicrobial, deodorising and anti-soiling agent comprising an active ingredient consisting of a titanium-phosphate-based compound, or a condensate thereof, and are then dried for 48 hours, the titanium-phosphate-based compound being produced by mixing 5 ml of titanium tetrachloride with a mixture of 25 ml of isopropyl alcohol and 25 ml of purified water, diluting 100 times with purified water, adding 5 ml of phosphoric acid aqueous solution and reacting the resulting titanium-phosphate-based compound with titanium tetrachloride and water or an alcohol having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms or other such mixed solution and further reacting with phosphoric acid; and, in the case of patient garments, the inner surface of a back sheet (1a) has a water-absorbing layer, and the water-absorbing layer is provided with a detachable health-enhancing back support (2) having an anion-releasing function and an antimicrobial, deodorising and anti-soiling agent.
