Definitions
- the invention relates to a hub, a brake disc and a brake disc hub connection system for rail vehicles.
- brake discs which can convert the kinetic energy of the vehicle into heat energy. These brake discs are subjected to high thermal loads. But the connection to the hub of the rotating axle is a particular problem. Because the mass of the brake disc for structural reasons and because of a
- the hub-brake disc connection must also withstand enormous mechanical stress, in order to achieve a compact design as possible, the space available for connection is relatively narrowly limited.
- the hub brake disc connection is therefore usually made with a large number of connecting screws. Typical is the use of twelve screws. Not only do these need to be assembled, but they must also be checked during maintenance to ensure that no loosening has occurred over time. Any loose screw is a source of danger.

- the hub 10 is provided with a mounting lug 12 which is mountable on an axle, not shown, of a rail vehicle. Furthermore, the hub 10 is provided with a fastening ring 13 with a number of mounting holes 14 distributed over the fastening ring 13 for fastening the brake disk 11 fitted.
- the hub 10 here consists of a right hub part 15 and a left hub part 16, between which the brake disc 11 is held.
- the brake disc 11 shown in Fig. 2 comprises attachment arms 17 which correspond to the mounting holes 14 and which are each provided with an axial opening 19 for connection to the hub 10.
- the holes 14 of the mounting ring 13 are parallel to the axis.
- an axially directed engagement element 18 is arranged between the fastening bores 14 or 14 a, 14 b of the hub 10 on the fastening ring 13.
- This element 18 is immersed in a marked in Fig. 3 wide gap 20 of two mounting arms 17 a, 17 b of the brake disk 11. D. h., He practically replaced the position of a mounting arm.
- the gap 20 is formed by the absence of at least one attachment arm 17 with respect to a uniform in the arrangement angle basic structure G of n mounting arms. This will be explained in more detail with reference to Figure 4, which shows a basic structure G of a brake disc.
- One, two, three or more engaging elements 18 may be provided on the hub 10, three being preferred for reasons of symmetry.
- One or more e.g. three engaging elements may be present. The three engagement elements are then arranged at a distance from each other of 120 ° on the mounting ring 13 and immerse each in the gaps 20a, 20b, 20c, which are marked in Fig. 3. There are, so to speak, three (or more) groups of three (or more) closely adjacent mounting arms 17.
- the engaging element 18 is integrally formed step-like manner on the fastening ring 13, so that the fastening ring 13 is widened in the axial direction in the region of the engagement element 18. As a result, the engagement element 18 projects clearly into the region of the disk 11. In addition, the engagement element 18 is wider than a distance from closely fitting attachment arms 17b, 17c, which are identified in FIG. This distance speaks the distance of the arms 17 according to the basic structure shown in Fig. 4. Overall, three engaging elements 18 are present at 120 ° distance.
- the engagement element 18 is integrally formed stepwise on a ring X applied to the attachment lug 12, so that the ring X is spread in the axial direction in the region of the engagement element 18 and in the intermediate space 20 between two mounting arms 17 (Fig. 2) is immersed.
- the brake disc 11 for rail vehicles shown in Figure 2 is provided with the axial openings 19 for connection to the hub 10, however, the brake disc 11 is associated with a uniform in the arrangement angle basic structure G of n mounting arms.
- This means that the brake disc according to Figure 2 has twelve evenly spaced points (12 x 30 °). However, not every place is occupied by a mounting arm. At every 4th position (y) is missing an arm 17, so that a total of three attachment arms are missing. If at least one attachment arm is missing from the basic structure, then it follows that there are narrow spaces 22 between adjacent attachment arms and at least one wide clearance 20 is present between two attachment arms 17a, 17b.
- this means that a number of x 3 mounting arms 17 is missing, the mounting arms being evenly absent so that the brake disk has a total of nx (ie 12-3), ie nine mounting arms, with at least three mounting arms 17 on the disc 11 remain.
- the brake disk 11 is therefore based on a basic structure of twelve mounting arms, with three mounting arms 17 are missing.
- the brake disk 11 can not only be placed on the hub according to FIG. 1, but also on a conventional hub, i. a hub without an engagement element, so that the disc 11 with the hub of FIG. 5 creates a connection system.
- the disc 11 has the advantage that it can be used universally.
- the mounting arms 17 are connected by bolt connections that is screw 23 to the hub.
- the brake disk 11 also has internal cooling fins 24 and / or air circulation ducts so that it is an internally ventilated disk.
- FIG. 6 shows a variant of the brake disk 11 which has at least one groove 26 intruded on a fastening arm, and shows an undivided shaft brake disk with the 3x3 connection, wherein the fastening arms are designed as cams.
- connection of the shaft brake disk 11 is a connection with nine cams with the cam distribution 3x3 available.
- 3x3 connection also a 3x3 hub with nine holes can be used.
- the centering takes place via three engaging elements 18 or three sliding blocks, of which in each case one is mounted in the middle connecting cam of a cam group.
- Each groove 26 is designed as a guide.
- the guide grooves 26 for the sliding blocks are introduced by milling into the hub 10. As a result, a simple centering is possible, which is otherwise not possible over the outer diameter of the hub 10 by the low surface quality.
- the groove can also be arranged laterally on the attachment arm or on two attachment arms 17.
- This solution enables an undivided shaft brake disc with a 3x3 connection with sliding blocks between the connection points.
- This solution is preferably an alternative to a given réellezentrie- tion.
- the centering of the brake disk 11 can also be realized here via the sliding block (engaging element 18) mounted between the cams (fastening arm 17).
- the outer sides 26 of the attachment arms 17 must be machined to produce a defined sliding surface.
- the engagement element 18 is mounted at the locations where there is no attachment arm 17 between the 3x3 linkage.
- the connection between the engaging element 18 and the hub 10 can, as illustrated in FIG. 7, take place by means of a clamping bushing 28.
- the engagement element 18 is also immersed in a gap, which, however, arises through the lateral grooves 26.
- an engagement element 18 designed as a sliding block can be integrated directly into the hub 10 or as an attachment will be realized.
- the sliding block may optionally be integrally formed, materially connected or connected by means of fastening elements.
- the sliding block can optionally be arranged on a hub web or a clamping ring.
- the engaging element may also have another configuration, such. B. a cylindrical shape. It is also worth mentioning that the creation of the gaps allows the arrangement of sliding or supporting elements of any kind, which leads to the relief of screwed connections.
- the engagement element can optionally be arranged on a hub web or on a clamping ring. Also possible is a split version of the shaft brake disk, in particular a two-part version. In this case, preferably one half of the disk is provided with five and the other half with four cams or fastening elements 17. The two friction ring halves are screwed to a ring with screws.
- the brake disk 11 can thus be divided into two disk halves, so that one half has a higher number of mounting arms 17 than the other disk half.
- the one half pane can z. B. have five attachment arms 17 and the other half disc have four attachment arms.
- the terms “narrow” and “wide” are to be understood as “narrower” and “broader”. Ie. the gap 20 is "wider" than the gap 22.
