Abstract

The tube and the anchoring part are joined together by means of an upper connection and a lower connection, the latter corresponding to the lower edge of the tube. The invention is characterized in that the upper connection consists of a pressure clamping of an upper portion of the anchoring part (2) on the tube (1), two fins (3) and (4) that form part of the anchoring part (2) being secured together, to that end, in the top part, said fins guaranteeing the stability of said upper connection. On the other hand, the lower connection is produced by means of a weld bead. The securing method is notable essentially in that, during the upper connection of the anchoring part (2), pressure clamping is maintained between said anchoring part and the tube (1).

Description

UNIÓN MEJORADA ENTRE AMARRE Y TUBO DE UNA SUSPENSIÓN DE VEHÍCULOS Y PROCESO DE FIJACIÓN DE DICHA UNIÓNIMPROVED UNION BETWEEN AMARRE AND TUBE OF A VEHICLE SUSPENSION AND SUCH UNION FIXING PROCESS
OBJETO DE LA INVENCIÓNOBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention, as expressed in the statement of this specification, refers to an improved connection between mooring and tube of a vehicle suspension and fixing process of said union.
The union of the invention consists of a mono-mooring of those used in vehicle suspensions, at the same time as they are fixed to the sleeves, whose function is to provide a fastener with a series of improved mechanical specifications of a tube that is part of the shock absorber.
Starting from this premise, the object of the invention is an improved union that prevents the deterioration of the mechanical properties of the tube. For this, a superior weld is eliminated, which decreases these properties, thus reducing the weight, the cost and increasing the fatigue resistance of the tube-mooring subassembly.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓNBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Actualmente, en las suspensiones tipo MacPherson o pseudo MacPherson de los vehículos se utilizan módulosCurrently, modules are used in MacPherson or pseudo MacPherson type suspensions of vehicles
(amortiguador, plato, soporte muelle, muelle y soporte superior) para asegurar la unión entre el conjunto masa no suspendida (rueda, pivote, freno) y la masa suspendida(shock absorber, plate, spring support, spring and upper support) to ensure the union between the mass not suspended (wheel, pivot, brake) and the suspended mass
Consequently, the module is subjected to longitudinal, transverse and vertical stresses. To withstand these efforts, mechanical characteristics of the tube-mooring subset that support the specifications of car manufacturers are needed.
In the current concepts of connection between mooring and tube, two perimeter welds are made, one of 360 ° minus an arc corresponding to the spindle at the top of the union between the mooring and the tube and another of 360 ° at the bottom of the union also between the mooring and the tube.
Welding of the upper part weakens the mechanical properties of the tube, which is subjected to longitudinal and transverse forces.
To compensate for the weakness due to welding, tubes of higher qualities and / or higher dimensions should also be used. This obviously makes the final product more expensive and / or increases its weight.
On the other hand, some current suspensions incorporate Strut-type shock absorbers of those commonly used in motor vehicles in MacPherson suspensions. The shock absorber will be attached to the sleeve through the lower tie.
The stresses coming from the wheels are transmitted to the assembly formed by the tube and the mooring. The efforts of the upper box assembly are also transmitted to the tube and tie assembly. On the other hand it should be noted that the tie is attached to the tube by means of two welds, one at the top and one at the bottom. The upper weld weakens the tube as mentioned above, in an area that has to withstand high stresses. Consequently, tubes of mechanical and geometric characteristics superior to what would in principle be sufficient if the mechanical properties of the tube in the weld were not deteriorated are used.
OF THE INVENTION In order to achieve the objectives and avoid the drawbacks mentioned in the previous sections, the invention proposes an improved connection between mooring and tube of a vehicle suspension and fixing process of said union. The most characteristic of the union is that the upper weld between the mooring and the tube is eliminated, getting in this way reduce weight and costs, as well as an increase in the fatigue resistance of the mooring tube subset.
Thus, the upper weld that connected the mooring with the tube is replaced by the union of two ends of the mooring wings. In this way it is not necessary to perform the upper welding of the tube to the mooring and therefore the mechanical characteristics of the tube are not penalized.
To optimize the performance of the assembly it is necessary to guarantee the correct tightening of the mooring on the tube.
To achieve this tightening, a fixing process is applied, in such a way that the mooring makes a tightening on the tube. Said tightening is achieved by applying forces on the wings of the mooring in the same direction but in opposite directions, such that the union or mooring between mooring and tube is closed on the tube achieving the desired tightening. Once this tightening is achieved, the clamping force is maintained on the wings of the mooring and the different welding beams are made.
Next, in order to facilitate a better understanding of this descriptive report and forming an integral part thereof, some figures are attached in which the object of the invention has been shown as an illustrative and non-limiting nature.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA FORMA DE REALIZACIÓN PREFERIDAFigures 3 to 6.- They show the process of fixing the joint between the tube and the mooring. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Considering the numbering adopted in the figures, the improved connection between mooring and tube of a vehicle suspension consists in principle of replacing an upper welding cord that joins the tube 1 with the mooring 2, replacing it with the pressure exerted by the clamp hug 2 on the tube 1, said hug being secured by joining two wings 3 and 4 that are part of the mooring 2, so that said wings 3 and 4 are joined together by means of a hooking element 5 that is welded to said wings 3 and 4 of mooring 2 in an upper area thereof, or by any other type of joint that makes the strength of the assembly optimal and stable.
The connection of the wings 3 and 4 of the mooring 2 must be carried out guaranteeing the tightening of the hug of the mooring 2 on the tube 1.
On the other hand, the welded joint 6 of the lower end of the tube on the mooring 2 is maintained, that is, that this lower joint is conventional. In this lower connection there is a cover 7 which can be an individual element as is the case represented in the figures, or it can consist of a deformation of the tube 1 constituting a single element. In this case, the bottom weld 6 would be faster. The fixing process between the tube 1 and the mooring 2 is shown in Figures 3 to 6 and is as described below.
Firstly, the tube 1 and cover 7 are introduced in the housing 8 of the mooring 2. Then, a tightening of the mooring 2 is carried out on the tube 1 and the wings 3 and 4 of the mooring 2 are joined in its upper part by welding the hook 5, or by another type of joint. Subsequently, the mooring 2, the tube 1 and the cover 7 are welded at the bottom. Finally the welds of the rest of the set would be completed.
The tightening of the mooring 2 on the tube 1 is carried out by means of a clamping device 9 that presses on wings 3 and 4 maintaining the pressure until all the welds are finished.
