Abstract
A vessel or container construction, specifically designed for holding cosmetic products such as creams and the like, comprises a vessel body (2) made in a single piece, a cantilever bottom (3) forming a bearing base of a closure assembly including a closure assembling body having a height substantially equal to that of the vessel body, thereby providing a double holding wall (5), as the vessel is in a closed condition, the vessel or holding body (2) including a top closure ring element (7) operating as a sealing gasket and closing the full perimeter of the inner holding body and locking a protecting disc element (6) for protecting the product held in the holding body.
Description
VESSEL CONSTRUCTION FOR COSMETIC PRODUCTS SUCH AS COSMETIC CREAMS AND THE LIKE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vessel or container construction, which has been specifically designed for holding cosmetic products, such as cosmetic creams and the like.
A jar for containing cosmetic creams of a conventional type generally comprises a construction including several components, that is a product inner vessel or container, an outer vessel covering the inner vessel, a cosmetic product protecting disc element and a closure assembly.
The above construction requires several operating steps for assembling its components, that is the' inner vessel must be joined to the outer vessel and the closure assembly must be assembled by a sealing gasket made of a Polespan material, for assuring a desired sealing or tightness relationship.
The double vessel structure is a preferred one, owing to the better protection afforded thereby to the cosmetic product which would be negatively
affected if it would be exposed to light and temperature changes.
Thus, it is necessary to make cosmetic product vessels so that their walls provide a sufficient insulation and protection from light.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly, the aim of the present invention is to provide such a vessel construction, specifically designed for cosmetic products, such as creams and the like, which may be made by inexpensively made and which, moreover, assures a high protection of the cosmetic product held therein.
Within the scope of the above mentioned aim, a main object of the invention is to provide such a vessel or container construction which, owing to its specifically designed structural features, is very reliable and safe in operation.
According to one aspect of the present invention, the above mentioned aim and objects, as well as yet other objects, which will become more apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a vessel construction, in particular for holding therein cosmetic products, such as creams and the like, characterized in that said vessel construction
comprises a single-piece vessel body, a cantilever bottom, forming a bearing base for a closure assembly including a closure assembly body having a height substantially equal to the height of the holding body, thereby providing a double holding wall, with the vessel in a closed condition, said closure assembly including a top closure ring element closing an overall • perimeter of the inner holding body and locking a cosmetic product protecting disc element for protecting the cosmetic product held in the holding body.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent hereinafter from the following detailed disclosure of a preferred, though not exclusive, embodiment of the invention, which is illustrated, by way of an indicative, but not limitative, example in the accompanying drawings, where:
Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of the vessel or container construction according to the present invention;
Figure 2 is an elevation view, as longitudinally cross-sectioned, of the vessel
construction in an assembled condition thereof;
Figure 3 is a further elevation exploded perspective view showing in cross section the main components of the subject vessel construction; and
Figure 4 is yet another perspective exploded view showing the vessel construction according to the present invention.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
With reference to the number references of the above mentioned figures, the vessel or container construction, specifically designed for holding cosmetic products such as creams and the like, according to the present invention, which has been generally indicated by the reference number 1, comprises a holding body 2, made in a single piece with a cantilever bottom or base 3.
The cantilever bottom 3 forms a bearing base for a closure assembly 4 which has a closure assembly height substantially equal to that of the holding body 2, thereby forming, with the vessel construction in a closed condition, a double holding body, generally indicated by the reference number 5, which provides a better protection for the cosmetic product.
The holding body 2, in particular, comprises a top closure ring element 7 operating as a sealing gasket and closing the overall perimeter of the inner holding body 2 and locking the product protecting disc element 6, for protecting said cosmetic product or cream held in the jar.
It has been found that the invention fully achieves the intended aim and objects.
In fact, the invention has provided a vessel or container construction 1 which can be made without the . need of performing expensive assembling operations after having made the individual components thereof.
Accordingly, the making cost will be very low, while providing a cosmetic product vessel or container having all the main aesthetic and functional characteristics required by such an article.
In practicing the invention, the used materials, as well as the contingent size and shapes, can- be any, depending on requirements.
It should be apparent from the figures that the holding body 2 is slightly tapering.
Moreover, the cantilever bottom 3 of the vessel is so contoured as to have a double wall 3' and 3" and a gap 8 therebetween.
Between the vessel body 2 and closure assembly 4, furthermore, is defined a further insulating gap 11 substantially extending for the overall vertical extension of said vessel.
The closure assembly 4, upon bearing on the bearing bottom 3, will provide a cylindric configuration double wall insulating vessel.
Said double wall 5 substantially extends through the overall circular perimeter of the subject cylindric vessel, through the overall height thereof.
Moreover, the closure assembly 4 will be firmly applied to the vessel 2 by projecting inner elements 9 designed for engaging in corresponding ridge elements 10 including stop detent elements 12, formed on the outer bottom portion of the vessel 2.
