Abstract

Men's underwear or swimwear (3) having a band or strap (1) incorporated to extend and support the penis. The band or bands pass through openings (2); tensioning or adjustment of the band is made possible by means of reinforcement (4) in the area between and around the openings.

Description

Men's extender wear
This invention relates to men's underwear underpants also know as briefs or shorts or pants. It relates to any men's wear that cover the genitals.
When wearing underpants men's genitals tend to move around in loose fitting underpants and tend to be pressed and squashed against the body in tight fitting underpants. Sometimes penises tend to shrink back towards the body.
This can lead to the wearer feeling discomfort.
To overcome this, the invention proposes underpants with an attached or detachable strap or band which encircles the shaft of the penis and this band is supported by the underpants. The band passes through one or more slits or openings in the front of the underpants. The band is positioned to raise and extend the penis upwards when fitted to a brief style of underpants and the band is positioned in the lower area of a shorts or trunk style of underpants so as to draw the penis down and extend slightly in the downward position. This band can be easily and quickly opened such as when the wearer wishes to urinate.
The wearer of these underpants will feel that the penis is extended and supported at the same time and will feel more comfortable.
Preferably the underpants have reinforcement of the fabric in the area of and between the openings in the fabric where the band passes through or is attached.
Preferably this reinforcing can be rectangular or circular or any other shape that will fit the contours of the underwear.
Preferably the band is adjustable.
Preferably the material of the band is firm yet comfortable against the skin.
Preferably the band can be fastened inside or outside the underpants;
Preferably the band can be attached or not attached to the underpants.
Preferably the band can be shaped or sculpted or have a rectangular shape.
Preferably the band can be plain or can display a design or motif.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings:
Figure 1 shows a transparent view of brief style underpants with the band fitted inside the underpants and with Velcro fasteners; and
Figure 2 shows a detail of the reinforcing and openings of the brief style underpants; and
Figure 3 shows the band and possible variations of its shape; and
Figure 4 shows a transparent view of a shorts style underpants with the band inside; and
Figure 5 shows a detail of the reinforcing and openings of the shorts style underpants; and
Figure 6 shows the band with Velcro fasteners; and
Figure 7 shows a band with a design or motif; and
Figure 8 shows a band with advertising or promotional content and with hook and eye fasteners; and
Figure 9 shows a band sculpted at one end to form the shape of fingers and with
Velcro fasteners; and
INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE (RULE 20.6) Figure 10 shows a buttoning method of securing the band to the underpants; and
Figure 11 shows a Velcro method of securing the band to the underpants; and
Figure 12 shows a transparent view of a band that fastens on the outside of the brief style of underpants; and
Figure 13 shows a front view of a band that fastens on the inside of the brief style underpants; and
Figure 14 shows a front view of a band that fastens on the outside of the brief style underpants with hook and eye fasteners; and
Figure 15 shows a front view of a band that fastens on the outside of the brief style underpants with Velcro fasteners.
A band 1 passes through openings 2 in the underpants 3 and encircles the penis. An area of reinforcement of the underpants 4 allows the band to be tightened and adjusted without deforming or altering the shape of the underpants. Velcro fasteners 5 or hook and eye fasteners 6 are used to adjust the band and other types of fasteners could be used. A method of securing the band to the underpants can be by button 7 or with Velcro 8 and other types of fasteners can be used. Another method of adjusting the band would be to have one end of the band stitched to the underpants and the other end would be fitted with a fastener to either fasten on the inside or pass through one opening hi the underpants and fasten on the outside. The number of openings will be increased to suit longer penises or for allowing two or more bands.
In Figure 1 a man's genital area is portrayed and a band 1 is shown encircling the penis, hi this style of brief the penis can adopt a downward position and this can cause squashing. A more comfortable position is to pull the penis upwards and extend it slightly; Depending on the fabric used in the briefs, the penis can be squashed especially if the briefs are manufactured from elasticated fabrics. This drawing shows a brief style underwear 3 with the outlets 2 and reinforcing 4 positioned so as to accommodate a penis pulled upwards. The band passes around the penis and through two openings 2. The briefs 3 are shown in transparency to allow viewing of the band inside. The band is shown with Velcro fasteners. The area of reinforcement 4 is illustrated as a rectangular patch covering and surrounding the outlets at the front of the briefs.
In Figure 2 the sample transparent brief 3 shown in Figure 1 is shown in solid form and shows the detail of the openings 2 and the reinforcing 4 between and around the openings.
In Figure 3 bands 1 are shown. In the left-hand drawing the band is shown as a simple long rectangular shape which is of sufficient length and width to encircle the penis and with Velcro fasteners placed on the ends. The right-hand drawing shows a band that has been shaped so as to be narrower in the middle and thus would be fitted through narrower openings. Velcro fasteners 5 are shown and would be sufficiently long and positioned so as to fasten securely around the penis without causing discomfort or irritation to the skin.
Figure 4 shows an alternative embodiment in which the band 1 is fitted to a short or trunks style brief 3. This style of underwear allows the penis to adopt a downward position. The openings 2 and reinforcement 4 are positioned to suit a penis that hangs down and to one side of the trunks and the fastening of the band is shown as Velcro 5.
INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE (RULE 20.6) As in Figure 1 the man's genital area is shown with the briefs in transparency 3 so as to show how the band 1 passes through the openings and around the penis inside the trunks.
Figure 5 shows the sample transparent trunks 3 in Figure 4 in solid form and shows the detail of the openings 2 and the reinforcing 4 between and around the openings.
Figure 6 shows the band 1 in simple rectangular format and with Velcro fasteners 5.
Figure 7 shows an embodiment of the band 1 with a design on it. In this drawing Velcro fasteners 5 are shown.
Figure 8 shows an embodiment of the band 1 with promotional or advertising material on it. This drawing shows hook and eye fasteners 6. The number and arrangement of the hooks and eyes is arranged to suit various sizes of underpants and peruses.
Figure 9 shows a band 1 with a design on one end to represent female fingers encompassing the penis when fastened. Other types of finger designs can be used and other shapes or designs. This drawing shows Velcro fasteners 5.
Figure 10 shows a band 1 with shaping and with a button 7 method of attaching to the underpants. The method of fastening is shown as Velcro 5.
Figure 11 shows a band 1 with shaping and with a Velcro 8 method of attaching to the underpants. The method of fastening is shown as Velcro 5.
In Figure 12 a man's genital area is portrayed and a band 1 is shown encircling the penis. In this style of brief the penis can adopt a downward position and this can cause squashing. A more comfortable position is to pull the penis upwards and extend it slightly. Depending on the fabric used in the briefs, the penis can be squashed especially if the briefs are manufactured from elasticated fabrics. This drawing shows a brief style underwear 3 with the outlets 2 and reinforcing 4 positioned so as to accommodate a penis pulled upwards. The band passes around the penis and through two openings 2. The briefs 3 are shown in transparency to allow viewing of the band inside. This drawing shows the band exiting the two outlets and fastening on the outside of the underwear. The band is shown with Velcro fasteners 5.
In Figure 13 the sample transparent brief 3 shown in Figures 1 and Figure 12 is shown in solid form and shows the detail of the openings 2 and the reinforcing 4 between and around the openings. It also shows how the band 1 looks from the front when the fasteners are inside the underwear.
Figure 14 is an embodiment of the brief 1 fitted with an external hook and eye fasteners 6. the sample transparent brief 3 shown in Figures 1 and Figure 12 is shown in solid form and shows the detail of the openings 2 and the reinforcing 4 between and around the openings. It also shows how the band 1 looks from the front when the
INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE (RULE 20.6) fasteners are outside the underwear.
Figure 15 is an embodiment of Figure 14 with Velcro fasteners 5.
