UNDERGARMENT WITH AIRING FUNCTION
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to an undergarment with an airing function, and more particularly, to an undergarment that is enhanced in its airing function by installing an airing pad or a separation supporting strap on a bottom portion thereof, thereby effectively removing moisture and thus providing healthy and cool wearing sensitivity to a user.
Background Art
[2] Generally, an undergarment such as a girdle, underpants, lingerie, an all-in-one, and the like is worn under shirts, trousers, dresses, and skirts, etc, and usually next to the skin. [3] Generally, since the skin around the groin area (including the penis or vulva, scrotum, anus, and the like) sweats due to skin-to-skin contact, it provides a good habitat for bacteria or molds. As a result, a person may suffer from a skin disease or a variety of gynecological diseases.

[38] FlGs. 26 and 27 are perspective views of an undergarment with an airing function according to a nineteenth embodiment of the present invention; and [39] FlGs. 28 and 29 are perspective views of an undergarment with an airing function according to a twentieth twenties embodiment of the present invention.
Mode for the Invention [40] Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention. [41] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, an undergarment with an airing function according to a first embodiment of the present invention includes a main body 10 having a front portion 12 for covering a front portion of the user's groin area and a rear portion 14 for covering a rear portion of the user's groin area, a waistband 20 formed on an upper portion of the main body 10 to fit around the waist, and a mesh member 90 installed on an inner surface of the main body 10. [42] The main body 10 may be formed in a rectangular shape as shown in FlG. 1, or in a triangular shape as shown in FlG. 3.
[43] The front portion 12 of the main body 10 functions to cover and protect the genital organs (such as the penis, scrotum, and vulva) of the user, and the rear portion 14 functions to cover and protect the anus of the user.
[44] An upper portion of the main body 10 between the front and rear portions 12 and 14 defines a waist hole 11. A lower portion of the main body 10 between the front and rear portions 12 and 14 defines a pair of leg holes 13.
[45] When the undergarment is for a man, a urination hole may be formed on the front portion 12 of the main body 10 so that it is convenient for the user to easily urinate.
[46] The waistband 20, formed of an elastic material such as rubber, is installed on an upper end of the main body 10 defining the waist hole 11.
[47] The mesh member 90 may be formed of fabric whose netting or hemp threads are sparsely weaved. Alternatively, the mesh member 90 may be formed of silicon, soft synthetic resin, or a leather string.
[48] When the mesh member 90 is formed of the silicon, soft synthetic resin, or leather string, an additional fabric formed of netting threads or hemp threads may be attached to the mesh member 90.
[49] When the mesh member 90 is attached on the inner surface of the main body 10, a plurality of airing holes (which are greater in a size than holes defined between strands forming the main body 10) are formed due to the mesh structure of the mesh member 90, and thus the airing and the moisture removal can be effectively realized.
[50] The mesh member 90 may be installed corresponding to an overall portion of the front and rear portions 12 and 14 of the main body 10 or to only one of the front and rear portions 12 and 14. Alternately, the mesh member 90 may be installed corresponding to only a lower portion of the main body 10.
[51] The shape of the mesh member 90 may be formed corresponding to that of the main body or to a part of the main body.
[52] When the mesh member 90 is installed as described above, the airing can be effectively realized around the user's groin area (including the penis or vulva, scrotum, anus, and the like) that sweats due to the skin-to-skin contact. As a result, dryness and cleanliness are maintained around the groin area.
[53] When the penis and scrotum are damp, a man may suffer from the moistening and itch around the scrotum. When the scrotum is maintained at a high temperature, fertility may be deteriorated. When the vulva is damp, a woman may suffer from a variety of gynecological diseases. When a portion around the anus is damp, he/she may suffer from eczema or hemorrhoid.
[54] However, when the mesh member is installed as described above, outer air circulates through a portion where skin-to-skin contact occurs and thus the temperature at the portion is lowered, thereby preventing the diseases such as eczema and
hemorrhoids and improving the virility.
[55] Referring to FlG. 3, an undergarment with an airing function according to a second embodiment of the present invention includes a mesh member 92 and a main body 10 having front and rear portions 12 and 14. The mesh member 92 is installed on only a portion of an inner surface of the front portion 12.
[56] The mesh member 92 may be formed in a variety of shapes such as a circular shape, an oval shape, a triangular shape, a rectangular shape, a star shape, and the like. The mesh member may also be partly installed on the rear portion 14 or a side portion of the main body 10.
[57] Referring to FlG. 4, an undergarment according to a third embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, the mesh member 94 is formed in a band shape such that it can be installed on the front and rear portions 12 and 14 in a U- shape.
[58] When the mesh member 94 is installed as described above, the material costs for the mesh member 94 can be reduced while the airing can be enhanced at a portion requiring the airing.
[59] A variety of above-described technical constitutions of the undergarment with the airing function according to the present invention may be used for a variety of applications such as rectangular or triangular pants for a man or woman, a girdle, pantyhose, lingerie, an all-in-one, a brassiere, and the like.
[60] Referring to FlG. 5, an undergarment according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention is shown. The undergarment of this embodiment includes a main body 10 having a front portion 12 for covering a front portion of the user's groin area, and a rear portion 14 for covering a rear portion of the user's groin area. The front portion 12 is provided with at least one airing hole 16. The undergarment further includes a waistband 20 formed on an upper portion of the main body 10 to fit around the waist and an airing pad 70 installed on an inner bottom (corresponding to the groin area of a user) of the main body 10.
[61] The airing hole 16 may be formed on only one of the front or rear portions 12 and
14 or both the front and rear portions 12 and 14.
[62] That is, the main body 10 is provided with one or more airing holes 16. When the undergarment is for man, a urination hole is formed on the front portion 12 of the main body 10 so that it is convenient for the user to easily urinate. Therefore, the airing holes 16 are all holes, including the urine hole, which are formed on the main body 10 to provide the airing function.
[63] The airing holes 16 may be formed in a polygonal shape such as a triangular shape, a rectangular shape, a pentagonal shape, an oval shape, a heart shape, a star shape, a petal shape, or a leaf shape.
[64] The airing holes 16 may be formed on a portion of the main body 10 that corresponds to the groin area, so that the airing can be effectively realized at a portion requiring the air circulation.
[65] When the airing holes 16 are formed as described above, the airing can be effectively realized around the user's groin area (including the penis or vulva, scrotum, anus, and the like) that sweats due to skin-to-skin contact. As a result, the dryness and cleanliness are maintained around the groin area.
[66] The airing pad 70 may be formed of rubber, silicon, or a soft synthetic resin.
[67] As shown in FlG. 6, the airing pad 70 includes an edge portion 72 having a predetermined width (e.g., 2- 10mm) and an airing mesh portion 74 surrounded by the edge portion 72.
[68] The airing pad 70 may be attached on the inner bottom surface of the main body 10.
Alternatively, the inner bottom surface of the main body 10 may be formed of the airing pad 70.
[69] The airing mesh portion 74 of the airing pad 70 may be formed of a fabric whose netting or hemp threads are sparsely weaved, or a synthetic resin, a leather strand, or the like. The edge portion 72 may be formed of cloth, silicon, soft synthetic resin, leather, and artificial leather.
[70] When the airing pad 70 is formed of the silicon or synthetic resin, netting or hemp threads may be attached on the airing pad 70.
[71] When the airing pad 70 is attached on the inner surface of the main body 10, a plurality of airing holes 74 (which are greater in a size than holes defined between strands forming the main body 10) are formed due to the mesh structure of the airing pad 90 and thus the airing and the moisture removal can be effectively realized.
[72] The mesh member 90 may be further installed corresponding to the rear portions 14 of the main body 10.
[73] When the airing pad 70 is installed as described above, the airing can be effectively realized around the user's groin area (including the penis or vulva, scrotum, anus, and the like) that sweats due to the skin-to-skin contact.
[74] As shown in FlG. 7, a plurality of protrusions 76 may be formed on the edge portion 72 of the airing pad 71.
[75] When the protrusions 76 are formed on the edge portion 72, external air can go in and out through spaces formed by the projections 76 and thus the airing can be enhanced.
[76] The protrusions 76 may be integrally formed with the edge portion 72 and formed of a same material as the edge portion 72. Alternatively, the protrusions 76 may be formed of jade, ceramic, a permanent magnet, a corrosion-proof metal or nonmetal, or a shape memory alloy, and attached on the edge portion.
[77] As shown in FlG. 8, the airing pad 77 may be formed in a frame shape. That is, the airing pad 77 may be composed of only the edge portion 72. In this case, the central portion of the airing pad 77 defines a single airing pad 78.
[78] Since other portions of this embodiment except for the above-described structure may be identically formed to the first embodiment, a detailed description thereof will be omitted herein.
[79] Referring to FlG. 9, an undergarment with an airing function according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, the airing pad 70 is installed on the bottom portion of the main body 10 as well as the front portion 12.
[80] For example, instead of forming the airing hole on the front portion 12 of the main body, the airing pad 70 is installed on the front portion 12.
[81] The airing pad 70 installed on the front portion 12 of the main body 10 extends in a circumferential direction of the user to provide a relatively large airing space.
[82] The airing pad 70 may be formed on only one of the front or rear portions 12 and
14, or on both the front and rear portions 12 and 14.
[83] Referring to FlG. 10, an undergarment with an airing function according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, the airing pad 70 is installed on side portions where the front and rear portions 12 and 14 are joined as well as the bottom portion of the main body 10.
[84] Referring to FlG. 11, an undergarment with an airing function according to a seventh embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, the airing pad 70 is not installed on the bottom portion of the main body 10 but the front and/or rear portion 12 and/or 14.
[85] Referring to FlG. 12, an undergarment with an airing function according to an eighth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, the airing pad 70 is installed in the bottom portion of the main body 10 and an airing hole 78 is formed on the front and/or rear portion 12 and/or 14 and the side portions of the main body 10.
[86] In the fifth through eighth embodiments, it is also possible to install the airing pad
70 on the front portion 12 and to form the airing hole 16 on the rear portion 14. It is further possible to install the airing pad 70 on the rear portion 14 and to form the airing hole 16 on the front portion 12.
[87] Furthermore, in the fifth through eighth embodiments, since other structures in addition to the above-described structure may be identically formed to the first and fourth embodiments, a detailed description thereof will be omitted herein.
[88] When the airing pad 70 and 77 is installed as described above, the airing is effectively realized around the user's genitalia and area, thereby removing moisture therefrom.
[89] The variety of above-described technical constitutions of the undergarment with the airing according to the present invention may be used for a variety of applications such as rectangular or triangular pants for a man or woman, a girdle, pantyhose, lingerie, an all-in-one, a brassiere, and the like.
[90] Referring to FlG. 13, an undergarment with an airing function according to a ninth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, a gap maintaining member 60 is installed on each portion defining each airing hole 16 to maintain a predetermined gap between the user's skin and the hole defining portion.
[91] The gap maintaining member 60 is formed of rubber, silicon, soft synthetic resin, or the like. Alternatively, the gap maintaining member 60 may be formed of stainless steel having a high corrosion-proof property or a shape memory alloy.
[92] The gap maintaining member 60 may be formed of the same material as the main body, enclosing the hole defining portion.
[93] When the gap maintaining member 60 is installed as described above, the hole defining portion is spaced away from the user's skin to provide an airing space.
[94] When the main body 10 is formed in a triangular shape, the gap maintaining member 60 may be installed on a portion defining the leg hole 13.
[95] That is, when the main body is formed in the triangular shape, the portion defining the leg hole 13 is formed having an elastic force. Therefore, when the gap mainlining member 60 is installed on the leg hole defining portion, the outer air can more effectively go in and out.
[96] Since other portions of this embodiment except for the above-described structure may be identically formed to the first embodiment, a detailed description thereof will be omitted herein.
[97] Referring to FlG. 14, an undergarment with an airing function according to a tenth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, the front portion 12 of the main body 10 is formed in a band shape having a relatively narrow width so that the leg holes 13 function as the airing holes 16.
[98] Referring to FIGS. 16 and 17, an undergarment with an airing function according to an eleventh embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, the undergarment includes a main body 10 having front and rear portions 12 and 14. The front portion 12 is provided with at least one airing hole 16. The main body 10 further includes a waistband 20 formed on an upper portion of the main body 10 to fit around the waist, and a separation supporting strap 50 formed of an elastic material for separating a penis and a scrotum from each other and supporting the separation state. The separation supporting strap 50 crosses at its middle portion in the main body 10 and opposite ends of the separation supporting strap 50 go out of the main body 10 through the airing holes 16 and are fixed on the waistband 20.
[99] The separation supporting strap 50 may be fixed on the main body 10 instead of the waistband 20.
[100] The opposite ends of the separation supporting strap 50 may be integrally fixed with the waistband 20 or the main body 10. Alternatively, buttons, snaps, clamps, Velcro fasteners, double-sided tape, or hooks may be installed on the opposite ends of the separation supporting strap 50 so that the separation supporting strap 50 can be detachably fixed on the waistband 20 or the main body 50.
[101] The separation supporting strap 50 may be spirally or linearly formed. When the separation supporting strap 50 is linearly formed, beads may be strung thereon at predetermined intervals.
[102] For example, as shown in FIG. 18, in order to support the penis or scrotum at the inner surface of the front portion 12, the separation supporting strap 50 is straightly formed and opposite ends of the separation supporting strap 50 are fixed on the wristband 20 so that a middle portion thereof droops. At this point, an interval adjusting member 52 such as a bead is attached on the separation supporting strap 50.
[103] When the separation supporting strap 50 is formed in a spiral shape or in a straight shape where the bead is strung, the penis and scrotum are more securely separated as compared with the case when the separation supporting strap 50 is simply formed in the straight shape.
[104] The separation supporting strap 50 may be formed of an elastic material such as rubber, silicon, or a soft synthetic resin.
[105] Alternatively, the separation supporting strap 50 may be formed of stainless steel or a shape memory alloy. In this case, the strap 50 is formed in a coil strip to provide elastic force.
[106] As shown in FIGS. 16 and 17, the separation supporting strap 50 may have opposite end portions 52 that are straight and a crossed middle portion 54 that is spiral.
[107] With reference to the crossed point of the separation supporting strap 50, the scrotum is supported on a portion below the crossed point while the penis is supported on a portion above the crossed point.
[108] By the separation supporting strap 50, the scrotum and penis that have closely contacted each other are separated. Therefore, the airing between the scrotum and penis is more effectively realized, thereby maintaining the drying and cooling state of the scrotum and penis.
[109] Particularly, in order to enhance the motility and vitality of the sperm, the scrotum must be at a temperature lower than that of the body. Therefore, the scrotum has a different structure from that of other body portions to effectively dissipate the body heat. That is, a relatively large number of wrinkles are formed on the scrotum.
[110] Therefore, when the penis and scrotum are separated and supported by the
separation supporting strap 50, the temperature of the scrotum can be lowered, thereby enhancing the genital ability of the user.
[Ill] Referring to FIGS. 19 and 20, an undergarment with an airing function according to a thirteenth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, upper and lower separation supporting straps 56 are horizontally installed on an inner-center surface of the front portion 12 in parallel to each other.
[112] The penis is supported on the upper separation supporting strap 56 while the scrotum is supported on the lower separation supporting strap 56.
[113] The upper and lower separation supporting straps 56 may be formed of stainless steel having a high corrosion-proof property, or a shape memory alloy. The separation supporting straps 56 may be formed in a coil spring shape so that they can have elastic force.
[114] Referring to FlG. 21, an undergarment with an airing function according to a fourteenth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, a plurality of airing holes 16 are formed on the front portion of the main body 10 and opposite ends of each separation supporting strap 56 are joined after being wound by one turn through the adjacent airing holes 16.
[115] In this case, since the opposite ends of the separation supporting strap 56 are directed joined with each other, the installation thereof is more securely realized as compared with the case when the opposite ends of the separation supporting strap 56 are fixed on the main body 10.
[116] When the mesh member of the first embodiment is horizontally divided into a plurality of sections, the penis and scrotum can be supported on the separated sections without using the separation supporting strap 56.
[117] Since other portions of the twelfth through fourteenth embodiments except for the above-described structure may be identically formed to the first through eleventh embodiments, a detailed description thereof will be omitted herein.
[118] Referring to FlG. 22, an undergarment with an airing function according to a fifteenth embodiment of the present invention is shown. This embodiment is identical to the fourth embodiment except that the front and rear portions 12 and 14 of the main body 10 are formed in a mesh shape.
[119] Referring to FlG. 23, an undergarment with an airing function according to a sixteenth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, an airing pad 70 is installed on the bottom surface of the main body 10, and the front and rear portions 12 and 14 of the main body 10 are formed in the mesh shape.
[120] The front and rear portions 12 and 14 may be formed of a fabric whose netting threads are sparsely weaved or leather straps weaved in the mesh shape. It may be possible that only one of the front and rear portions 12 and 14 is formed in the mesh
shape.
[121] When the front and/or rear portion is formed in the mesh shape, overall airing efficiency can be dramatically improved.
[122] Since other portions of the fifteenth and sixteenth embodiments except for the above-described structure may be identically formed to the first through fourteenth embodiments, a detailed description thereof will be omitted herein.
[123] Referring to FlG. 24, an undergarment with an airing function according to a seventeenth embodiment of the present invention is shown. This embodiment is identical to the tenth embodiment except that the front and rear portions 12 and 14 are formed in a mesh shape and the separation supporting strap 50 is installed on the front portion 12.
[124] In this embodiment, a plurality of airing holes 16 may be formed on the front and rear portions 12 and 14 to enhance the airing efficiency.
[125] Referring to FlG. 25, an undergarment with an airing function according to an eighteenth embodiment of the present invention is shown. In this embodiment, the front and rear portions 14 of the main body 10 are formed in a band shape having a relatively narrow width so that the leg holes 13 function as the airing holes 16. Airing pads 77 each having an airing hole 78 are installed on the front and rear portions 12 and 14 of the main body 10.
[126] Referring to FlGs. 26 and 27, there is shown an undergarment according to a nineteenth embodiment of the present invention.
[127] According to this embodiment, in order to support the penis and scrotum without skin contact, a mesh member 95 is installed on a front portion 12 of the main body 10.
[128] All or part of edges of the mesh member 95 is fixed on the front portion 12 of the main body 10. The mesh member 95 includes a fixing mesh 97 provided with a separation hole 98 through which the penis is inserted and a scrotum separation mesh 96 having edges fixed on the fixing mesh 97 to form a pouch shape having an opened top.
[129] The fixing mesh 97 and the scrotum separation mesh 96 may be formed in a variety of shapes such as a circular shape, a semi-circular shape, an oval shape, a rectangular shape, a heart shape, and a crescent shape.
[130] The scrotum separation mesh 96 and the fixing mesh 97 are fixed with each other at their edges except for top edges through backstitch. That is, the scrotum separation mesh 96 and the fixing mesh 97 are fixed to each other to form a pouch in which the scrotum is put so that there is no skin contact between the scrotum and the leg, thereby enhancing the airing.
[131] The scrotum separation mesh 96 and the fixing mesh 97 can be fixed to each other by a Velcro fastener, buttons, snap buttons, hooks, and the like.
[132] The top edge of the fixing mesh 97 is fixed to the waistband through backstitch to prevent the penis put on the fixing mesh 97 through the separation hole 98 from drooping. [133] A hook strap 99 is installed on the scrotum separation mesh 96 and a button 29 on which the hook strap 99 is fixed is installed on the waistband 20. Since the hook strap
99 is supported on the button 29, the scrotum put on the scrotum separation mesh 96 does not droop. [134] The fixing mesh 97 has side edges and/or bottom edge that may be fixed on the front portion 12 of the main body through backstitch or by buttons, snap buttons, hooks, a Velcro fastener. [135] A urine hole 15 may be formed on the front portion 12 of the main body 10 so that it is convenient for the user to easily urinate. [136] The main body 10 is provided at a rear portion 14 with a lateral airing hole 16 to prevent the rear portion 14 of the main body from being inserted between hips. [137] In use, when the user wears the undergarment by inserting his/her legs through the leg holes 13, the scrotum is naturally put in a space between the scrotum separation mesh 96 and the fixing mesh 97 and the scrotum and penis are separated from each other without skin contact. Then, the user allows the hook strap 99 to be hooked on the button 29, thereby finishing the wearing. [138] FlGs. 28 and 29 show an undergarment with an airing function according to a twentieth twenties embodiment of the present invention. [139] Referring to FlGs. 28 and 29, a scrotum separation mesh 96 of a mesh member 96 is fixed on the front portion 12 of the main body 10 except for a top edge. A fixing mesh 97 provided with a separation hole 98 is supported on the waistband 20. [140] The top edge of the fixing mesh 97 may be fixed on the waistband 20 through backstitch or by buttons, snap buttons, hooks, a Velcro fastener. [141] The other edges of the fixing mesh 97 may not be directly fixed on the front portion
12 of the main body 10 or all or part of the other edges of the fixing mesh 97 may be fixed on the front portion 12 of the main body 10 through backstitch or by buttons, snap buttons, hooks, a Velcro fastener. [142] A fixing mesh 97 may be supported by the hook strip 99 hooked on the button 29 of the waistband 20. Both ends of the hook strip 99 are fixed on the fixing mesh 97 and supported by the button 29 installed on the waistband 20. [143] The scrotum separation mesh 96 has both side edges extending in a D-shape, which is fixed to the waistband 20 through backstitch or by buttons, snap buttons, hooks, a
Velcro fastener. [144] The scrotum separation mesh 96 of a D-shape may be separated three part, which is fixed each other through backstitch or by buttons, snap buttons, hooks, a Velcro
fastener. [145] In the ninth through twentieth embodiments, a band-shaped mesh member may be used instead of the hook strap 29. In addition, a snap button, a hook, or a Velcro fastener can be used instead of the button 29. [146] The undergarment with the airing function can be made by variously combining at least two of the first through eighteenth embodiments. [147] The variety of combinations selected from at least two of the first through eighteenth embodiments may be used for a variety of applications such as rectangular or triangular pants for a man or woman, a girdle, pantyhose, lingerie, an all-in-one, a brassiere, and the like. If possible, the airing pads 70 or 71 and/or the separation supporting strap 50 or 56 may be applied to a variety of commercialized undergarments. [148] When there is no airing hole on the main body 10, the separation supporting strap
50 may be fixed on the inner surface of the main body 10 or the inner surface of the waistband 20.
Industrial Applicability [149] According to the present invention, since the separation supporting strap having elastic force is installed, the penis and scrotum can be separated and supported so that the airing can be effectively realized therebetween, thereby preventing the moistening and itching around the scrotum. [150] In addition, since the airing pad is installed on the bottom surface of the main body, the airing can be effectively realized around the anus and female genitalia. [151] Furthermore, since the spiral gap maintaining member is installed on a portion defining the airing hole, the airing can be enhanced to allow the outer air to be circulated. [152] In the present invention, by the installation of the mesh member or by forming the main body in a mesh structure, the overall airing can be basically improved. [153] In addition, as the undergarment is formed in a band shape having a relatively small width, the undergarment covers a minimum body portion and thus the sufficient airing can be realized. [154] It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in the present invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention covers the modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
