Abstract

Automatic Fire Fighting System that provides safety from any sudden occasion of fire of any automobile system regarding its engine, passengers and fuel reserving and delivery system. The system consists of series of heat (2), smoke (1 ) and current sensors that being soread all over engine zone (C), passengers' zone (B) and fuel delivery features (A) regarding its tank. Mentioned sensors (1,2) actuate series of CO2 (3) and powder (5) to engine's zone, water to passengers' zone and cooling fluid to fuel delivery features regarding its tank. Simultaneously a pump (D) retracts fuel into its tank to isolate it from heat source. The system can be either automatic or manually operated by choice of automobile driver.

Description

Automatic fire fighting system
Technical Field
Fire fighting Measures for Automotive Industries
Background Art
The use of fire fighting measures of automotive industries has been conducted by ordinary manual fire extinguishers. In addition, the use of Helium automatically fire fighting system has been used for saving the engine from any sudden fire ignition.
These two measures don't include the automatic safety response system for the passengers of the automotive entity.
Most of complains of the previously mentioned safety measures come from their suspicious effect on the passengers. While the use of manually operated fire extinguishers needs passenger's close reach for the extinguisher and rapid react with the source of fire, which increases the response time depending upon passenger's skill with fire fighting.
Disclosure of Invention
To overcome the absence of any automatic fire extinguishing system oriented toward saving the passenger's zone of the vehicle, the proposed system deals with three thirds of the fire triangle. Of fuel, medium of combustion and spark ignition the system automatically isolates and freezes fuel, simultaneously compensates the medium of combustion and provided ignition preventing mechanism as the following Three Concepts.
1. Treatment
1.1 Engine
As illustrated in Figure 3, (A) represents fuel tank zone, (B) represents passengers' zone and (C) represents engine's zone. Smoke Sensors 1 and Heat Sensors 2 signal the fire occurrence. In addition, if the vehicle has a natural gas tank or any other flammable material, smoke and heat sensors ought to be provided at the location of the gas tank.
The feedback signal locates position of the fire then unleashes a solenoid valve of liquefied CO2 tank 3 connected to CO2 guns 4 compensating fire at the engine zone. Simultaneously Powder tank 5 is to be unleashed and oriented toward engine by powder nozzles 6.
1.2 Passengers' Zone
Smoke Sensors 1 and Heat Sensors 2 signal the position fire occurrence, then water pump 7 Supplies water to passengers' zone and water guns 8 spread water all over passengers' zone.
2. Prevention of fire proceeding
2.1 Fuel
Simultaneously with the previously discussed treatments of Engine and Passengers' Zone, a tank connected pump 8 fixed internally to the fuel feed system withdraws fuel into its tank. By so, fuel is to be isolated from danger zone.
As illustrated in Figure 2, in case of temperature increase at fuel tank area by any cause such as sudden impact of fire approach, temperature sensor 9 signals to pressurized cooling fluid 10 to be pumped into fuel tank 14 maintaining its temperature below critical limit.
3. Grounding Safety Measure
Mean source of self induced fire is vehicle battery. As illustrated in Figure 1 , proposed system deals with battery grounding by providing current sensor 1 1 and thermal sensor 12 connected to battery's connecting wires. If current and/or temperature reach (s) critical limits, electrical fuse 13 isolates battery from engine ignition system.
