Description

METHOD FOR PROVIDING DONATION AND COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A DONOR AND DONEE IN A NETWORK AND THE SYSTEM THEREOF
FIELD OF THE INVENTION: -
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a method for providing a donation and communication in regard with donations between a donor and donee (recipient of donation) in a network and a system thereof. More particularly the present disclosure deals with a safe and secured transmission of donation between different parties along with different related services like methods for allotting donations, providing acknowledgement to donors and tracking use of the allotted donations. BACKGROUND ART
[0002] An increased amount of electronic communications has enabled a wide variety of the public to communicate with other members of the public. In addition, there are numerous types of electronic communication channels that are now available. [0003] Special interests of individuals may be current events, health concerns, safety concerns, religious concerns, or any other variety of concerns. Information about special interests and concerns may be found in the public libraries, reference volumes, or from charitable organizations who maintain public information for distribution to individuals. Charitable organizations are defined as non-profit or not for profit type organizations.
[0004] One medium for providing information to individuals is through the World Wide Web or Internet. The Internet is a tool that enables charitable organizations to maintain or provide websites on the Internet and present programs, projects, and causes that exemplify their particular endeavours. Interested individuals may, if desired, view the charitable organization's endeavours via the internet. [0005] Soliciting monetary donations from individuals by charitable organizations in support of the charitable endeavours is a costly and time-consuming effort. Attempts in the past to solicit monetary donations from individuals focused on telephone solicitation, direct mail, radio, and television. These attempts have produced limited results due to the high cost of producing events that appeal to prospective individual donors. A donor is defined as an individual person or organization wishing to make a monetary contribution to a charitable organization and a donee as a recipient of such donations. [0006] There are many types of donation like hidden donations wherein the donor does not want to be public whereas in some cases the donor wants to be public and need solicitation. Some donations are carried out for getting remissions in taxes, but some are for only cause. Some donations are carried out with huge amount, but some donations are with very less amount. Similarly the donor and donee both can be individuals or organisations / trust. Thus, there is a need for improving the manner in which organizations communicate with potential donors.
[0007} There is another problem exists wherein the donor cannot decide the split of the various contributions to be made for a gainful utilization of money to different agencies / organisations / donee. For example, a donor cannot currently split various monetary amounts (or donations) amongst different agencies or certain projects run by or related to a charitable organization (or charity) based on a single donated amount. Thus, a weighting of a donation is not possible. Further, it is not possible to currently control which specific agencies or projects (out of a larger number of agencies or projects) should be the recipient of the monetary amount provided by the donor.
[0008] Additional problems relate to a point of purchase or activation of an element, such as a donation card, which is related to a certain monetary amount. An entity, operating a web site, for example, does not current have the ability to track such an element across the distributor of the element and to pay a commission to the distributor based on the number of elements that the distributor has sold or activated.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0050] Therefore such as herein described there is provided a system and method for providing communication in regard with donations among a donor and donee (recipient of donation) in a network. The network as discussed may be a mobile network and / or Internet / Intranet.
[0051] As discussed in the summary the present disclosure deals with a safe and secured transmission of donation between different parties alongwith different related allied services. The different configured methods includes method for allotting donations to different organisations / donee's as per the donor desire and / or weight, providing acknowledgements to donors and tracking use of the allotted donations etc.
[0052] Therefore as per the principle object of the present invention the method for allotting donations, providing acknowledgements to donors (donation certificate generation system), tracking the use of the allotted donations and at least one electronic commerce engine.
[0053] With reference to fig 1, when the donations are made by the donor's using SMS, the donation is being carried out by a communication wherein a code of equivalent value (money) is sent to the donee. The fig 1 discloses a method for the verification of code. In the said process the donor has to buy a donation card from a source with the equivalent money of intended donation. To donate the respective money to the donee the donor has to open the secret code; after that the donor has to send this secret code to service provider engine with the donee details. The service provider engine will verify the code and if code is incorrect the engine sends a response SMS to the donor for invalid card; else if secret code is valid then it will verify the donee details. If the donee details are incorrect the engine sends a response SMS for invalid donee details else if donee details are correct then it send a response SMS to donor "Your Donation has been Success of Amount XXX for the Donee ZZZ, Thanks for your Contribution" and a further SMS is sent to the Donee for the donated money alongwith the donor details and is recorded in a dedicated database connected with a server.
[0054] Further as shown in Fig 2, the process gets started from donation card provider, for generating secret codes for the donation card, for this the service provider will have to enter a valid usemame and password. If usemame & passwords are valid then service provider will be able to generate and store the code into the database. Printing apparatus will print the donation cards and these donation cards information will remain saved into database for further use. Finally, the donor has to buy a donation card and after open the secret code. Then the donor has to send this secret code to server by SMS/IVR/USSD/Phone Call and that code will verify by communicating with database. At last, donor will receive a response on his/her mobile from the system after verifying the code. For the Valid Code donor will get Message Υour Donation has been paid to Donee." Else the donor will get a message for Invalid Code or Invalid Donee Details. [0055] Further in case when the donor wants to donate by means of credit card, third party money transfer etc then the e-commerce engine is configured for the receipt of such payments. A person skilled in the art will be able to appreciate and understand the different configurations needed for such kind of transaction. However for the sake of simplicity, all the examples herein described use one mode of transaction i.e. by means of the secret code, which is valid for all type of communications.
[0056] Under the condition when the donations are made through Internet and the donation is being carried out by a communication wherein a code of equivalent value (money) is being sent to the donee. The fig 3 discloses a method for the verification of code under such circumstances. In the said process the donor has to buy a donation card from the source. To donate the respective money to the donee, the donor has to open the secret code, followed by communicating the said code through a dedicated and configured website. In the website the donor has to select donee to whom he/she want to make donation, after selecting the donee the donor has to enter the secret code on the website field and press submit/continue button for verification, the system engine will verify this code and if code is incorrect it engine will send to the response page as invalid card; else if secret code is valid then it will send to the response page with the message "Your Donation has been Success of Amount XXX for the Donee 777 Thanks for your Contribution." And a SMS/ E-mail will be send to Donee for the donated money.
[0057] In accordance with one aspect of the disclosure, there is provided a method for providing a donation comprising indicating one or more donors, indicating a donation amount in respect of each of the one or more donors, indicating one or more donations in respect of each of the one or more donors, acknowledging each accepted donations to the donors, the generating a donation certificate in respect of each of the one or more donors on demand. The donation certificate is in the form of reply SMS1 email or a paper certificate, which can be sent to donors address.
[0058] With reference to Fig 4, when the donor wants to send the donations through Internet, the said fig discloses the method of communication through the internet. The process gets started from the donation card provider, for generating secret codes for the donation card, for this the service provider has to enter a valid username and password. If usemame & passwords are valid then service provider can generate and store the codes into the database. Printing apparatus will print the donation cards and these donation cards information will remain saved into database for further use. Finally, the donor has to buy a donation card and after open the secret code. Then the donor has to hit to service provider website and enter the code for verification. The entered code will verify by server through communicating with database. At last, donor will be forwarded to the response page. If the entered secret code is Valid the donor will get information "Your Donation of amount XXX has been paid to Donee 777." Else the donor will get information for Invalid Code.
[0059] Under the condition when the donation are made through IVRS and the donation is being carried out by a communication wherein the a code of equivalent value (money) is sent to the donee. The fig 5 discloses a method for the verification of code under such circumstances. In the said process the donor again has to buy a donation card from the source. To donate the respective money to the donee, the donor will open the secret code; the donor has to place a call to IVR, the IVR will ask for secret code and Donee details, after entering the donee details and secret code number the IVR will send these details to system engine for verification, the system engine will verify this code and if code is incorrect it will send a voice response as invalid secret code and ask for the secret code again; else if secret code is valid then it will verify the donee details. If the donee details are incorrect the engine will send a voice response as invalid donee details and ask for the donee details again; else if donee details are correct then it send a voice response message like "Your Donation has been Success of Amount XXX for the Donee ZZZ, Thanks for your Contribution." And a SMS/E-mail will be send to Donee for the donated money.
[0060] In accordance with another aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a system for donating money and communication. In the system, a database stores a list of donations donors and donee's. An interface is provided allows a user to select at least one donee from the list of donee's and nominate a donation amount. The configured e-commerce engine transfers the donation amount to the at least one donee.
[0061] As per one of the disclosed embodiment, the configured website provides information amount the different organisations related to the donations, their performance, need and the various projects involved. Therefore the method of providing the donation is further configured wherein the donor can split his desired donation among different organisations based on a single donated amount by viewing the different reports over the organisations available in the website. Thus, a weighting of a donation is possible. Further, it is possible to control which specific agencies or projects (out of a larger number of agencies or projects) should be the recipient of the monetary amount provided by the donor
[0062] Further as shown in Fig 6, and the method disclosed herein, the fund provided by all the donors through any communication medium is firstly credited to the service provider account. After that the service provider creates a list of donee's to which the fund has been received from the donors as per the amount received. After that the service provider either issues the cheques for doπees's or create a Transaction File with the account numbers and respective amount to be paid with the bank details in which bank the donee's account through a e-commerce engine. The service provider after creating transaction file, will forward the transaction to the respective banks for the clearance. After getting the payment confirmation file from the respective banks or getting status from bank for cheque cleared, a request will be generated to update the database of the system. After updating the status in to system, it is confirmed the payment has been Successful for the Donee.
[0063] As shown in Fig 7, the process of code generation is described. The authorized person will hit to the system and enter the username and passwords, after that system verifies for the user if the entered username and passwords are valid then it allows the user for entering into the system otherwise it will give an error, and inform to the user for Incorrect Usemame and Passwords. The number of attempt to login into system will be counted and if the number of attempts crosses the limit the user will get disabled and get enabled after the Administrator will unlock the user. If the entered usemame and passwords are correct then the system allows him to generate the codes, at the time of code generating when user has to give an instruction to generate the codes, the codes will be generated and stored into system automatically. The generated codes can be any format like numerical, alphanumerical, alphabetic, symbols, and combination of these all, and any two or more as well as QR Codes, images and so on.
[0064] In continuation with the Fig 7, wherein the method for the code generation is disclosed, fig 8 illustrates the process of code printing. In the said process the service provider has to enter into the system with a proper authorisation and enter the usemame and passwords, after that system verifies the user if the entered usemame and passwords are valid then it allows entering into system otherwise it will give an error, and inform to the user for Incorrect Usemame and Passwords. After entering into system the user has to initiate the system for the printing of the codes. The system and the associated accessories are configured for the different types of the secret codes. The secret code should be printed into which format like QR code, images and so on. The user has to give a command to print the secret codes, and the printing apparatus will interact to the database system and access the codes for printing. After printing the secret code the labeller hides that code, after labelling the card move to hidden code scanner it reads the code after labelling, and verify the code from database, if the printed code is as at as database code it sends an instruction to the system for updating the status that the code has been printed successfully and instruction to print next card is generated, if the printed code is not as at as database code the card gets destroyed and instruction to print a next card is generated.
[0065] Further fig 9 discloses a flowchart which illustrates the QR code reader. In the said process the donor has to buy a donation card from the source. To donate the respective money to the donee, the donor has to open the secret code. After opening the secret code the donor gets the code in the form of image or QR code.
The donor has to read the code from mobile camera, web camera/scanner and after reading the code the donor has to add donee details and send these details to the service provider. The donor can save this code in to mobile and verify through website as well as IVRS and any communication medium.
[0066] In one embodiment, With reference to Fig 10, where the donation has been received successfully irrespective of the mode of donation and the respective amount is transferred from donor account to donee account. Thereafter system generates a request for generating the certificate for the respective contribution, the service provider or any authorized third party will generates the contribution certificate and send that certificate to the donor. Each and every contribution certificate will have a unique certificate number, so the contribution certificate can be verified by authorized person. This contribution certificate will help the donor for tax benefit. [0067] As per another embodiment, with reference to Fig 11 , where the donation has been received successfully irrespective of the mode of donation and the respective amount is transferred from donor account to donee account. The system generates an acknowledgement for the respective contribution, and the system sends the acknowledgement with the help of the same communicating medium by which the donation has been communicated as well as a SMS may also be send to the donor. In case if the donor require the acknowledgement in hard copy then the donor can collect the acknowledgement from the service provider office as well as donee office also to whom he/she made the donation. Even he/she can collect online also.
[0068] As per yet another embodiment of the present invention, during the issuance of the donation certificate or else after the donation is received by the service provider, the donor may be provided with a statement indicating a tax status of the [0068] As per yet another embodiment of the present invention, during the issuance of the donation certificate or else after the donation is received by the service provider, the donor may be provided with a statement indicating a tax status of the donation. In one embodiment, the donor may be advised that the donor is not entitled to the tax deduction because the donation was the organisation was not covered under the tax shelter, according to relevant tax law or else may be advised for the different organisations / institutions which are covered under such shelter. However based on the desire of the donor, the tax consultancy and the tax related statement may be provided to the redeemer directly as a web page, or may be emailed or SMS to the donor using contact details provided by him as shown in fig 12.
[0069] As per another embodiment, when the donation has been received form the different donors in the name of different donee's and get accumulated in the account of the service provider wherein the transaction took place by the different means as discussed above, the disbursement of the donations ia made as per the flowchart shown in Fig 13. The system generates a request for generating the certificate for the respective contribution. The service provider or any authorized third party will generate the contribution certificate and send that certificate to the donor. After that the service provider creates a list of donee's to which the fund has been received from the donors as per the fund received. After that the service provider either issues the cheques for donees's or create a Transaction File with the account numbers and respective amount to be paid with the bank details in which bank the donee's account. If the service provider is creating transaction file then they will forward the transaction to the respective country reserve bank. After getting the payment confirmation file from the reserve bank or getting status from bank for cheque cleared, a request is generated to update the database of the system. After updating the status in to system, it is confirmed the payment has been Successful for the Donee. [0070] Another embodiment of the present invention provides the facility to communicate the use of the donation by the donee's to the donor on demand as shown in Fig 14. In the current system the fund provided by all the donors through any communication medium gets credited to the service provider account. After that the service provider creates a list of donee's to which the fund has been received from the donors as per the amount received. After that the service provider disburses the respective fund to the donee's and thereafter after getting the receiving acknowledgement the system gets updated. After that the donee's may spend that amount in to respective or new fields and update the status of their work into system, so the each and every step of spending fund will get updated into system, and on the request of donor the service provider may send the current status of work, running at donee end. [0071] yet another embodiment provides a facility for the donor certification / receipt verification service through SMS as shown in Fig 15. In the current system after giving a successful donation the donor gets a donation certificate / receipt, each and every donation certificate / receipt will have a unique code printed on donation certificate/receipt. This unique code will be the combination of alphabetic, number and symbols also or any one/two of them and QR Codes, images and so on. The donor is having right to submit the said certificate/receipt to take the rebate in tax. The donor has to submit this certificate/receipt for rebate in tax; the authorized person will read the certificate/receipt number from the donation certificate/receipt and send it for verification through SMS. If the donation/receipt number is valid then the system sends the donation certificate complete details(like donor name, donor mobile number, amount, address, donation date and time, donee details and so on) to the Mobile through SMS and the donor can avail tax benefit for that if already not taken else the system sends message as "Wrong code".
[0072] Further embodiment discloses a flowchart for donation certification / receipt verification through Internet as shown in Fig 16. In the current system whenever the donor submits his certificate/receipt for rebate in tax; the authorized person reads the certificate/receipt number from the donation certificate/receipt and hit to the service provider website for verification, after that the verifier will enter this code to the website and press the submit button. If the donation/receipt number is valid then the system will forward to the success page and display the donation certificate complete details (ϋke donor name, donor mobile number, amount, address, donation date and time, donee details and so on) and the donor will get tax benefit for that if already not taken else it will send display message for invalid code like "WRONG [0073] Further embodiment discloses a flowchart for donation certification / receipt verification through IVRS as shown in Fig 17. Whenever the donor gives his donation certificate / receipt for verification to a verifier, the Verifier has to place a call to IVR, the IVR will ask for certificate/receipt code, after entering the certificate/receipt code, the IVR will send certificate/receipt code to system engine for verification, the system engine will verify this certificate/receipt code and if certificate/receipt code is incorrect it will send a voice response as invalid certificate/receipt code and ask for the certificate/receipt code again; else if certificate/receipt code is valid then it will send a voice response to the verifier, the verifier will listen and match the details like (like donor name, donor mobile number, amount, address, donation date and time, donee details and so on) . if the details gets match then the donor will get tax benefit for that if already not taken
[0074] Another embodiment of the present invention discloses a method for the selection of the donee's intended to facilitate the donors in order torn make the decision of donation as shown in Fig 18.
