Abstract

The present invention relates to a razor cartridge with enhanced skin contact and vibrational effects, and a razor utilizing same. To this end, there is provided a razor cartridge comprising a housing, blades installed in the housing and a guard installed adjacent to the blade, wherein the guard includes a base supported onto the housing and an elastic projection portion protruded from the base, and wherein the elastic projection portion includes a first projection having a convex-shaped opening and a hollow space inside and a second projection connected to the opening and formed in a protruding shape to allow air from the hollow space to escape therethrough. Therefore, according to the present invention, when the razor comes in contact with the skin, it applies a pumping motion effective for aligning beard or mustache hairs, promotes the secretion of sebum in the skin pores and helps a user experience a smooth motion during its use.

The present invention relates to a razor cartridge and a shaver using the same, and more particularly, to a wet shaving razor. In particular, the present invention relates to a vibrating razor in which an elastic body having a predetermined cavity is installed in a pumping member at a lower end of a razor cartridge to increase the massage effect and the pumping effect by compressing, vacuuming, and vibrating the skin surface of the elastic body during shaving.

The basic function of the razor is to use a razor blade (blade) to cut and remove hairs, such as hair and whiskers, that have grown on your body. To this end, a lot of research on the function of the razor blade has been progressed in recent years, studies on the structure for improving the shaving performance by assisting the function of the razor blade as well as the razor blades are actively underway.

In the case of a general vibrating razor, the vibration of the surface of the razor cartridge is made to be adsorbed on the skin through the vibration applied to the cartridge so that the hair can be cut well and the skin massage is performed.

Referring to FIG. 1, the razor 10 includes a handle 12 and a replaceable shaving cartridge 14. The cartridge 14 includes a housing 16, a guard 20, and a cap 22 that support the blades 18. The guard consists of a pinned elastomeric unit settled in front of the housing 16 to abut and stretch the skin of the user. The shaver 10 also includes a small motor and a battery in the handle 12, and the motor rotates the eccentric elements of the head of the handle to provide vibration to the razor blades of the shaver.

As described above, in the conventional vibrating razor, vibration is applied to the entire cartridge including the razor blade, and the conventional guard has a configuration in which a plurality of bars are arranged in parallel as a straight bar.

However, the above configuration has the following problems.

First, it has a simple straight bar shape, so there is no consideration of fine skin shape, so the compression effect on the skin is reduced.
