Abstract

본 발명은 4-헥실레조르시놀-1,3-디올을 유효성분으로 포함하는 항암용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 항암용 조성물의 유효성분인 4-헥실레조르시놀-1,3-디올(4-hexylresorcinol-1,3-diol)은 세포 수준에서 암세포의 증식을 억제하고 암세포의 아폽토시스 및 분화를 촉진할 뿐만 아니라, 암세포가 이식된 이종이식 동물모델 및 암환자 대상 임상실험에서 종양의 성장을 현저히 억제하는 효능을 나타낸다. 본 발명의 항암용 조성물은 다양한 암세포에 대해 현저한 증식억제 활성을 나타냄으로써 매우 우수한 성능의 항암제로 개발될 수 있다.
