Abstract

The present invention relates to the operation of assembling steel beams in a manpower-intensive construction work environment, and more specifically to a method of assembling a steel beam using a Y-shaped connector for guidance that enables steel beams to be assembled more safely, easily, and accurately during steel beam assembly work using an inclined composite bracket and the self weight of a composite steel beam, and that uses a steel beam assembly machine comprising: a composite bracket one end part whereof is joined and fixed with a steel column, another free end part is formed to have a certain slope so that the lower flange is longer its upper flange, and the lower flange protrudes further than the web and connects with a Y-shaped connector; a Y-shaped connector for guidance comprising an upper plate formed in a folded form to accommodate steel beams to be assembled easily and a linear lower plate that is fixed to this when the web of the composite steel beam and the web of the composite bracket are inserted, and that includes a plurality of connection holes on the end parts of both sides and comprises a pair of composite plates to form a Y-shape; a composite steel beam both end parts whereof are formed to have the same slope as the slope of said composite bracket so that the upper flange is longer than the lower flange, and lower part flanges of said both end parts are formed to be shorter than the web to mate with the lower flange of said composite bracket that is formed in a protruding mode; and a locker that is formed on the floor part of the lower flange of said composite steel beam, attaches to a guidance rope, and passes through a locker receiving hole when the composite steel beam and the composite bracket are assembled with each other, and the locker receiving hole that is formed on the floor part of the lower flange located at the other free end part of said composite bracket and attaches to a guide rope.
