Abstract

The invention relates to a close-fitting clothing sleeve that comprises at least one main sleeve portion for at least partially covering the arm or the leg and made of a cloth having an elastic capability for closely surrounding said limb. Said cloth consists of a warp and weft material having an elongation at break of at least 20% in at least one direction, and including a majority of non-elastically extendable fibres and a minority of elastically extendable fibres.

TECHNICAL FIELD TO WHICH THE INVENTION REFERS

The present invention relates generally to the fields of textiles and clothing. It relates more specifically to a tight-fitting clothing for arm or leg, as well as clothing including such sheaths, in particular a stocking, a tights, underpants or a garment upper body.

TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

Women's body-hugging clothes, especially on the legs, have become increasingly popular since the introduction of nylon stockings in 1940, and pantyhose and leggings in 1960.

These garments are generally manufactured either from a knitted fabric formed of non-stretched yarns of nylon, cotton or wool, or from a woven fabric made of elastically extensible yarns of the elastane type (also known as Spandex name in English-speaking countries). When the fabric used is a knit, the yarn which composes it is not extensible in itself and it is the interlocked loops or mesh structure of the knit which gives the fabric an elastic capacity of elasticity allowing the garment to marry the shape of the legs and pelvis (sticky effect) and providing a feeling of comfort. However, the knit has a certain fragility and in particular tends to snag the asperities which then pulls its thread and deteriorates it.

When the fabric used is a fabric formed by a weaving of warp threads and weft threads, it is these threads which in themselves provide an elasticity to the garment. The yarns used are then highly extensible to allow the fabric to conform to the shape of the legs and pelvis without wrinkling: it is usually an elastane with a tensile elongation of about 500% to 600%. However, these threads provide the fabric with an aesthetic appearance and fineness that are not suitable for all uses and tastes. Some people may prefer, depending on the circumstances, to wear a garment made of a thicker and sturdier fabric and to feel softer or warmer.

The only solution is then the use of trousers cut in a fabric of little extensible threads such as cotton, for example a jeans fabric or the like. Some pants of this type are said to be tight in that they are worn tight to the body and have a certain elasticity. This elasticity is, however, limited to 1% or 2% because of the weaving of the fabric and the fibers making up the yarns of the fabric, which, for the most part and by strong tradition, have a tensile elongation at break reduced to a few percent .

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The object of the present invention is to provide a body-hugging clothing for arm or leg that has a new style, as well as improved comfort and strength compared to existing knitted or woven sheaths.

For this purpose, it is proposed according to the invention a tight fitting clothing jacket for arms or leg, comprising at least one main cladding portion which is adapted to at least partially sheath the arm or the leg and which is made of a first fabric having a elastic capacity to marry said limb. This first fabric is a warp and weft type fabric which has a tensile elongation at break of at least 20% (twenty percent) in at least one direction and which has predominantly non-elastically extensible and unintentionally stretched fibers. elastically extensible fibers. The fabric of which the sheath is thus made unites to a degree unknown hitherto the qualities of elasticity, strength, comfort, with a clean aesthetic character resulting, on the one hand, weaving warp and warp, and on the other hand, of the majority presence, in the composition of yarns, of fibers with little or no elastic elasticity such as cotton, linen, wool, silk, polyesther, polyamide or superpolyamide, texture or not, nylon etc.

In an advantageous embodiment, this fabric comprises, at least for the weft or the warp, an elastically extensible thread comprising, on the one hand, a percentage greater than or equal to 80% (eighty percent) of first filaments, elastically extensible, having a tensile elongation at break greater than 100% (one hundred percent) and, secondly, a percentage of 5% or more (five per cent) of second filaments, not elastically extensible, having an elongation at break of less than 3% (three percent). The first and second filaments are mixed in proportions and according to an assembly structure adapted to impart to said fabric a tensile elongation at break of at least 20% (twenty percent) in at least one direction.

Other advantageous and non-limiting features of the invention are the following:

the fabric forming the first fabric has a tensile elongation at break of at least 40% (forty percent) in at least one direction; the fabric forming the first fabric has a tensile elongation at break of at least 20% (twenty percent), and preferably at least 40% (forty percent), in both directions of the frame and the chain;

the main cladding part is adapted to sheath the leg or the arm on either side of its articulation;

the main cladding part comprises at least one longitudinal opening extending, in the worn configuration, on either side of the leg or arm joint, over a total length of at least 20 cm (twenty centimeters); preferably, this longitudinal opening has a proximal end at least 10 cm (ten centimeters) from said joint;

the main cladding part comprises means for temporarily closing said longitudinal opening;

- The distal end of the main cladding portion is open to allow exposed foot or hand and is provided with a holding means opposing the sliding of the distal end on the leg or the arm; this holding means typically operates by adhesion or attachment and consists for example of a loop or holding loop adapted to pass around the foot or the hand or a self-adhesive rubberized self-fixing support strip;

the distal end of the main cladding part is closed by a distal portion forming a sock or a glove adapted to envelop, respectively, the foot or the hand, this distal portion being attached, permanently or removably, to the distal end of the main cladding part.

The invention also relates to different garments comprising a clothing sheath incorporating all or part of the aforementioned features:

- lower body clothing such as tights, long leggings or leggings, low uprights with or without socks, comprising molding leggings constituting a clothing sheath of the aforementioned type;

- Upper body garments, such as jackets or vests, comprising sleeves forming a sleeveless dress of the aforementioned type.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AN EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENT

The description which follows, with reference to the accompanying drawings, given by way of non-limiting example, will make it clear what the invention consists of and how it can be achieved. In the accompanying drawings:

- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a long leggings or legging according to the invention;

- Figure 2 is a perspective view of a low amount without sock according to the invention; FIG. 3 is a plan view of the first fabric mainly comprising a clothing sheath according to the invention;

- Figures 4 to 8 are schematic perspective views illustrating different embodiments of the weft or warp of the first fabric of a clothing sheath according to the invention. Figure 1 shows, in worn configuration a legging according to the invention. We know that a leggings is a sporty, skin-tight, feminine pant that dresses the pelvis and legs from waist to ankles. It is also called sticky without feet or long underpants.

This legging has two leg portions 1, 2 for covering the legs and joined by a panty 3 for covering the pelvis. The leg portions 1, 2 constitute, in the terminology used in this document, main parts of sheathing.

In this case, the leg portions 1, 2 and the pants 3 are made of the same first fabric.

This first fabric is a warp and weft fabric having an elastic stretching capacity at least in the direction of the warp or weft, and advantageously in both directions, to match the shapes of the legs and the pelvis with intimate contact.

In the context of the present application, the following definitions are retained. "Elastically extensible" means that the yarns, filaments or fibers concerned have an elastic stretching capacity with a tensile elongation at break greater than 100%. By "non-elastically extensible" it is meant that the yarns, filaments or fibers concerned have a tensile elongation elastic elongation capacity of less than 3%.

To make this fabric, it is used for the frame and the chain, or for at least one of these two components, elastically extensible son. The warp and weft threads are interwoven in any weave, typically canvas, twill or satin. In the example illustrated in FIG. 3, the weave is here a fabric and there are distinguished the warp yarns 20 and the weft yarns 21.

Several variants are conceivable: (a) elastically extensible warp yarns 20 woven with a frame of weft threads 21 that are not elastically extensible,

(b) non-elastically extensible warp yarns woven with an elastically extensible weft yarn reinforcement 21,

(c) elastically extensible warp yarns woven with a frame of elastically extensible weft threads 21.

This last variant (c) is however particularly advantageous, in that it makes it possible to obtain, as the first fabric, a fabric which, when worn, has a strong elastic capacity in the two directions, transverse and longitudinal, of the arm or leg. The transverse elasticity makes it possible to mold the leg or the arm, while the longitudinal elasticity operates a self-stretching of the fabric in the longitudinal direction of the arm or the leg, which avoids the unsightly effects wrinkling.

The elastically extensible son are for example made in the form of elastic core son gimped or coated with other fibers. Each of these threads is composed of: at least one first elastically extensible filament forming the core of the thread and

at least one second non-elastically extensible filament encapsulating the first filament.

The first filament (core) is typically composed of natural or chemical fibers (artificial or synthetic), for example elastomer or superpolyamide foam. It is typically an elastane (also known as Spandex in English-speaking countries) with a tensile elongation of about 500% to 600% and also has the advantage of providing softness and resistance to wear. clothing. The second filament is made of natural or chemical fibers

(artificial or synthetic) or mineral. It is for example cotton, Nn, wool, silk, polyesther, polyamide or superpolyamide texture or not, nylon, etc. The use of cotton is advantageous for providing the garment with softness and comfort when worn. The use of chemical fibers such as polyesters will enhance the strength and fluidity of the garment and it will then be advantageous to add, in a coating of the first filament (s), fibers of vegetable or artificial silk (for example viscose) providing a silky touch.

The first and second filaments are mixed in proportions and according to an assembly structure capable of imparting to said fabric an elastic extensibility with a traction elongation at break of at least 20%, and more advantageously still between 40% and 100%. %. Typically, the fabric forming the first fabric may have an elongation at break of 50 to 60%. This elastic extensibility is achieved in at least one direction, for example in the direction of the warp. But it is advantageous to predict that the fabric is elastically extensible in both directions of the frame and the chain so as to obtain, as mentioned above, an elastically expandable sheath in the transverse and longitudinal directions. The molding effect is thus substantially improved by avoiding the formation of folds. The yarn thus obtained is elastically extensible while benefiting from the feel of the non-elastically extensible coating fiber (s) forming the second filament (s) surrounding the first filament.

Several embodiments can be retained for the wrapped yarn. Several non-limiting examples are shown in FIGS. 4 to 8. The example of FIG. 4 consists of a single wrapping thread 22, in which the first elastically elastic filament 23, elastically extensible, is coated with a single second filament. 24 continuous, non elastically extensible, helically wound around the first filament 23.

The example of FIG. 5 consists of a double-wrapped yarn 25, in which the first elastically elastic filament 26 is coated with two second non-elastically extensible second filaments 27, 28 wound helically around the first filament in opposite directions (or not), one in a step on the left, the other in a step on the right.

The example of FIG. 6 consists of a pulsed wrapping thread 29, guiped by air jet, in which the first elastically elastic filament 30, elastically extensible, is coated with a plurality of second non-elastically extensible filaments 31 by means of an air jet method making it possible to obtain a more or less ventilated intermingling of the second filaments 31, giving the coating a high inelastic stretching capacity (greater than 100%). The wrapping parameters are adjusted to adapt the aeration or density of the second filaments 31 according to the desired elasticity and fabric style.

The example of FIG. 7 consists of a spun yarn 32 in which the first elastically elastic filament 33 is coated with a coating which is composed of a plurality of second filaments 34 which are not elastically extensible and which is obtained by spinning non-elastically extensible fibers around the first filament 33 so as to obtain a more or less aerated intermingling of the fibers of the second filaments 34, providing the coating with a high inelastic stretching capacity (greater than 100%). The spinning parameters are adjusted to adapt the aeration or density of the fibers of the second filament 34 according to the desired elasticity and fabric style. The example of FIG. 8 consists of a twisted yarn resulting from a twisting of at least two different yarns 35, 36 such as the yarns 22, 25, 29, 32 of the abovementioned examples with reference to FIGS. 4 to 7.

Whatever the chosen embodiment, in order to obtain the required elastic characteristics, as indicated above, as well as good holding, aesthetic and comfort properties, the elastically extensible weft or warp thread. 20, 21 making up the fabric forming the first fabric advantageously comprises, on the one hand, a percentage greater than or equal to 80% of the second filaments and, on the other hand, a percentage of between 5% and 20% of the first filaments. Typically, it may be composed of 90 to 97% of second non-elastic filaments and 3 to 10% of first elastic filaments.

As a concrete example, two tests could be performed with satisfactory results with the following manufacturing data.

Example 1

Composition: 95% cotton constituting the second non-elastic filaments and 5% elastane constituting the first elastic filaments.

Specification: RSB13.25 + 70D ^* 16.75 + 12 + 70D66 ^* 68

Weave structure: 3/1 RHT ("Reinforced Heel and Toe" or in French reinforced tips and heels)

Elasticity Elongation: 20-30% Shrinkage: Warp from 8% to 10% and Weft from 12% to 14%.

Width: 55 "to 56" Inches

Weight: 9.5 ounces per yard (oz / yd)

Of course, the specification is likely to vary depending on the weight of the fabric, as the example below.

Example 2 Composition: 95% cotton constituting the second non-elastic filaments and 5% elastane constituting the first elastic filaments.

Weight (weight): 7.6 ounces per yard (oz / yd) The leg portions 1, 2 are adapted to sheath each leg on either side of its hinge, i.e. in this case it extends at least to below the knee. In this case each leg part measures between 60 and 100 cm so as to extend to the ankle to cover the entire leg.

The distal end 5, 6 (lower end) of each leg portion 1, 2 is open to let the foot uncovered and has a distal holding portion 7, 8. In this case, this distal holding portion is constituted by a strip of fabric forming a loop or handle adapted to pass around the foot, under the arch, so as to stretch the leg part 1, 2 concerned.

This stretching function cooperates with the inherent elasticity of the first fabric to prevent the formation of transverse folds (that is to say horizontal) especially in the vicinity of the knee. Advantageously, but not necessarily, provide that each holding loop 7, 8 is elastically extensible to enhance the stretching effect.

The distal holding portion 7, 8 is attached, permanently or removably, to the distal end 5, 6 of the leg portion. This attachment is typically effected by means of a seam, but can also be achieved by means of temporary fastening of the button type, "scratch", etc.

The distal holding portion 7, 8 is made in the same first fabric as the leg portions 1, 2 or on the contrary in a second fabric, distinct from the first fabric and having own elasticity and strength properties. Alternatively not shown, it may alternatively be provided that the distal end of each leg portion 1, 2 is closed by a distal portion forming a sock adapted to wrap the foot. The garment thus obtained is akin to a tights. The sock is attached, permanently or removably, to the distal end of the leg portion. It can be made in the same first fabric as the leg portions 1, 2 or in a second fabric, distinct from the first fabric.

In any case, each leg portion 1, 2 comprises at least a first longitudinal opening 4 (which extends in the direction of the length of the leg) extending on either side of the knee.

This opening has a length of at least 20 cm. In this case, this opening is between 40 and 60 cm long. Its distal end (lower end in worn condition) extends to the ankle, that is to say near the distal ends 5, 6 located at the height of the ankle in worn condition. Its proximal end (upper end in worn condition) extends to the top of the knee, at least 10 cm from the latter. This arrangement of the longitudinal opening allows convenient threading of the leg portion 1, 2 on the leg. It is understood that this threading would be difficult in the absence of such a longitudinal opening due to the nature and composition of the new fabric used, whose extensibility is limited.

The opening 4 is formed on the inner side of the leg, which advantageously allows to leave the outer side of each leg blank part of any visible seam.

Each leg portion 1, 2 is provided with a means for closing the longitudinal opening 4. This closing means advantageously consists of a zipper (or rack). However, it will be possible to use other types of closures, such as a hook and loop fastener type "scratch" known under the trademark Velcro.

It may also be provided that each leg portion 1, 2 further comprises a second longitudinal opening (not shown) on the back of the leg to facilitate the threading of the leg. A second means of closure Temporarily (not shown) is then advantageously provided to close this second longitudinal opening.

Figure 2 illustrates another embodiment of the invention. The dress sheath shown is devoid of panties and thus looks like a low amount. It comprises a leg portion 10 similar to each of the leg portions 1, 2 described above and made in the first fabric according to the prescriptions given above. This leg portion 10 is provided with a longitudinal opening 14 similar to the opening 4 and a means for closing this opening, similar to those previously described with reference to FIG.

In the example shown in FIG. 2, the low amount obtained is devoid of a sock and comprises a distal holding portion 17 forming a loop similar to the loop 7 previously described with reference to FIG.

Alternatively (not shown), we can provide a low amount with sock.

The clothing sheath of FIG. 2 comprises a proximal portion 18, located at its upper (proximal) end on a bearing, provided with a holding means opposing the sliding down of the upper end of the sheath. This holding means acts in combination with the distal holding portion (or the sock) and the inherent resilience of the first fabric to stretch the leg portion 10 and prevent the formation of transverse folds. This holding means typically consists of a self-fixing rubberized inner retaining band.

The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown, but the skilled person will be able to make any variant within his mind.

In particular, although the examples illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2 consist of lower body garments, provision may be made to apply the invention to upper body garments, such as jackets or vests, comprising sleeve sleeves constituting a clothing sheath according to the invention and similar to the leg portions described above. Similarly, although in the examples shown the molding sheath has a longitudinal opening, the latter is in no way indispensable. The longitudinal opening becomes even totally superfluous, even undesirable, in the case where the fabric used, according to the invention, has good tensile elongation capabilities, allowing the user to put on the sheath without difficulty.

Claims

1. A body-hugging body-or-arm sheath comprising at least one main cladding part (1, 2) which is adapted to at least partially arm or leg sheath and which is made of a first material having an elastic capacity to marry. the leg or the arm, characterized in that said first fabric is a warp and weft type fabric which has a tensile elongation at break of at least 20% in at least one direction and which comprises predominantly non-elastically expandable and in a minority elastically extensible fibers.

2. Sheath according to claim 1, wherein the fabric forming the first fabric comprises at least for the weft or the chain a yarn (20, 21) elastically extensible comprising, on the one hand, a percentage greater than or equal to 80% of first elastically extensible filaments (23; 26; 30; 33; 35) having a tensile elongation at break greater than 100% and, secondly, a percentage greater than or equal to 5% of second filaments (24; 27, 28; 31, 34, 36), not elastically extensible, having a tensile elongation at break of less than 3%, said first and second filaments being mixed in proportions and according to an assembly structure imparting to said fabric a elongation at break by traction of at least 20% in at least one direction.

3. Sheath according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the fabric forming the first fabric has a tensile elongation at break of at least 40% in at least one direction.

4. Sheath according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the fabric forming the first fabric has a tensile elongation at break of at least 20% in both directions of the frame and the warp.

5. Sheath according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the main cladding portion is adapted to sheath the leg or the arm on both sides of its articulation.

6. Sheath according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the main cladding portion has at least one longitudinal opening (4; 14) extending in worn configuration on either side of the leg or arm joint and having a total length of at least 20 cm.

7. Sheath according to the preceding claim, wherein the main cladding portion (1, 2; 10) comprises means for closing said longitudinal opening (4; 14).

8. Sheath according to one of the preceding claims, wherein, the distal end (5, 6) of the main cladding portion (1, 2; 10) is open to pass over the foot or the hand and is provided with a holding means (7, 8; 17) opposing the sliding of the distal end (5, 6) on the leg or the arm.

9. Sheath according to one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the distal end of the main cladding portion is closed by a distal portion forming a sock or glove adapted to envelop, respectively, the foot or the hand.

10. Tights having leg portions constituting a sheath according to claim 9.

11. Long leggings or leggings comprising leg portions constituting a sheath according to claim 8.

12. Stocking bottom with sock, comprising a leg portion constituting a sheath according to claim 9.

13. Stocking without sock, comprising a leg portion constituting a sheath according to claim 8.

14. Bottom according to one of claims 12 and 13, comprising a proximal portion provided with a holding means opposing by adhesion or attachment to the sliding of the distal end on the leg.

15. Upper body garment, comprising sleeves forming a sheath according to one of claims 1 to 9.
