Abstract

The invention relates to a polyphase rotary electrical machine comprising a current rectifying and voltage regulating arrangement provided with a current rectifying device (25) and a voltage (61) regulating unit (14) - brush holder (60). The current rectifying device (25) comprises a housing (26, 27) having two circumferential ends defining a space (28, 29) for receiving the unit (14) and a positive terminal (70) separate from the unit (14). The invention can be applied to an alternator or alternator starter of a motor vehicle.
