Abstract

According to the desirable embodiment of the present invention, advertisement data is transmitted to a client when a request for the transmission of the advertisement data is received from the client. The request is received from an advertisement server if the position information of a scrollbar corresponds to the position information of a displayed advertisement in a web browser that presents a web document, wherein the position information of the exposed advertisement is extracted from the client and included in a web document received from a web server to the client. Through the present invention, it is easily checked whether a user is exposed to the online advertisement that is provided in a webpage. In addition, the invention leads the user to pay attention to the online advertisement in the webpage provided to the user. Therefore, the advertisement’s effectiveness can be increased.
