Abstract
본 발명은 복수의 얼터네이터와 배터리를 구비한 전기자동차에 관한 것으로서, 차체에 장착되어 전기에너지를 저장하도록 되어 있는 배터리; 상기 차체에 결합된 후륜 구동축에 연결되어 상기 배터리로부터 공급되는 전기에너지를 운동에너지로 전환함으로써 상기 후륜을 회전 구동시키는 구동모터; 및 상기 구동모터의 동작을 제어하는 모터 제어부;로 이루어진 동력계를 구비한 전기자동차에 있어서, 상기 동력계는, 상기 차체의 일측에 장착되어 회전 구동력을 발생시키는 엔진; 및 상기 엔진과 모듈화되어 상기 엔진에서 발생된 회전 구동력에 의해 전류를 만들어 내는 하나 이상의 얼터네이터;를 더 포함하고 있으며, 상기 배터리는 상기 각각의 얼터네이터와 연결될 수 있도록 하나 이상으로 나누어져 있고, 상기 하나 이상의 배터리는 상기 하나 이상의 얼터네이터와 각각 짝을 이루어 모듈화되어 있으며, 따라서, 각각의 모듈화된 얼터네이터와 배터리가 발전 및 충전 동작에 따른 부담을 나눔으로써 부하를 경감하게 되고, 모듈 별로 유지보수가 가능하므로 그에 따른 시간적, 경제적 손실을 최소화하면서 작업 편리성을 증진시킬 수 있고, 모듈의 고장 발생률을 줄여 제품의 수명 및 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있게 된다.
